Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author, for an eAudio ARC of this work in exchange for my review.

"What stands in the way becomes the way."

How to Be Free by Shaka Senghor is part memoir, part self help book, part spiritual journey. It is heartfelt, inspiring, and powerful while giving actionable tools for others to work on their own freedom from struggle, fear, guilt, self-doubt, depression, grief, and limitation.

By sharing deeply personal experiences and feelings, Shaka takes the inspirational self-help genre to another level. He shows that breaking free from all of our hidden prisons is work that takes time and grace, but is within all of us right now.

The audiobook is read by the author and is gripping and fast-paced while being reflective and thought-provoking.
