A perfect collection for fans of Western Horror, Brigid’s Gate Press’ Blood in the Soil, Terror on the Wind has a story for everyone no matter what your favourite subgenre of horror is. Each story was a hit for me, as always seems to be the case with Brigid’s Gate Press but I did particularly love The Good Doctor. That said it’s hard to pick one favourite from the amazing selection.
Each story shines out in this collection not only capturing the horror elements but the isolation and ‘horror’ that was the ‘wild west’ as well. An absolute must read for horror fans, even if you don’t enjoy ‘westerns’, when you finish this collection you will.

I had no idea western horror was even a thing, so when I saw this anthology, I was super excited to dive in. And wow, it was amazing! The stories are gritty, atmospheric, and just the right amount of creepy. Some were scarier than others, but overall, the quality was solid across the board. I really enjoy anthologies; getting a mix of voices and settings. It keeps things fresh and interesting. This book totally opened my eyes to a new horror subgenre, and now I’m hooked. Already on the hunt for more western horror!

Definitely recommend if you’re into horror and want to try something a little different.

This is a wonderful anthology of stories from a wide variety of writing styles. Each author brings their unique voice to an assortment of Western horror-themed stories.

Every single story is fantastic and well-written. This would be a good book to introduce to anyone interested in trying out Western horror.
