A sweet story of two young boys, Max and Charles, on a trip to Elliot Island with their stepfather. This was a day for “boys only” and I love the wonderful relationship Fred shares with these two. It’s such a refreshing change from so many blended family stories.
As they travel they encounter an old woman on the road, holding a snapping turtle. The expedition continues with the turtle in tow and an overnight stay at a seaside inn. A ghost story and strange happenings turn this into an adventure they will surely remember.
