Matías „Matt“ Romero, 38, grew up with five siblings in a happy Spanish/Irish family. Something he longs for himself, in particular as both of his best friends and business partners are happily married now. Instead he‘s in New York attending his ex‘s wedding because he’s just too nice as Fin puts it.

When he’s having a well deserved drink at a bar after the reception he’s mistaken for an escort by a beautiful brunette who is in desperate need of a plus one for her cheating ex‘s wedding at The Pierre and the guy a friend set her up with a no-show. Matt is intrigued by fiery Ryan, so much that he indeed gives in and agrees to attend a second wedding that day. The attraction between Matt and Ryan is undeniable and after finally giving in to this attraction they spent an unforgettable night together.

But Ryan is keeping secrets. She grew up neglected by an alcoholic mother, used to being self sufficient and not to depend on anyone except herself.

Back in London, Matt is devastated that Ryan sneaked out of the suite that night without a note or trace. But as fate has it, Ryan moved to London for work some weeks after their encounter in NYC. Ryan is shocked when Matt walks into the boardroom.

When she finds out their night left her pregnant she’s prepared to raise the child on her own, not expecting Matt wanting to be involved at all. But Matt wants her and the baby and he’s made up his mind to persuade her to stay and giving them a chance. But he has no idea how desperate Ryan is to keep her past from everyone in particular him. But he’s ready to fight for her.

Ryan‘s struggles we’re described so well. It was heartbreaking how she didn’t see herself worthy of Matt‘s love. Their happy ending was hard fought for but so so deserved. Thank you so much for the eARC

This was an entertaining, spicy read!

I loved the way Ryan and Matt met. It was funny and hot. However, out of misunderstanding and a memorable night that had each thinking of the other often, by the time they meet again, their lives are about to change forever.

Ryan had a rough and tough upbringing, and scorch marks left by a previous relationship has her wary of men and she's slow to trust. Matt was gloriously adorable! I loved him hard. He realised very soon that he had to show Ryan what she meant to him and what their life together could be like, rather than tell her. A highly enjoyable read with plenty of spice and banter.

I loved this book! There may have been a few times when I wanted to throw my phone because of the tension between Matt and Ryan but the banter was the best

Matt is Book Boyfriend Hall of Fame material! I loved everything about him. So refreshing to have a male lead be genuine and emotionally intelligent.

Ryan definitely had traumas to overcome and the author handled sensitive subjects in a respectful way. Their HEA was just beautiful ❤️

At first it was a bit slow (really struggled on whether to continue) with more inner dialogue. Ryan comes across as feisty and no holds bar, Matt at first didn’t know what to think of him, kept getting that “always a bridesmaid never a bride” vibe but in his case always an ex never the hubby 🥲
They had their spicy night and Ryan vanishes into the night, only to meet up again in a totally different country and Ryan with a big surprise.
Generally it was an ok read, the blurb really brought me into reading it, but execution wasn’t 100% for me - ESPECIALLY with the absolute 180 Ryan had in her character/personality not sure where that resurrected from.

I really, really wanted to like this book especially since Matt our hero was absolutely the best. He is kind, considerate, caring, sexy as hell and uber rich. What more can a girl want. Oh wait and he is insanely in love with the girl.

But Ryan, she just seemed like a total debbie downer. Yes life handed her lemons, and unfortunately her sour puss demeanor totally reflected that. Like speak up woman. So after all that harsh cold and hot behavior from her side, I could not believe the love story.

I want a Matt though in m life like right now, and I'll take his family too.

The narration was great. I thought all characters were well done.

What a fun first meeting! I loved Matt. The banter between Ryan and Matt was top tier. I admired Ryan's determination to make it on her own in a field filled with men. Matt was such a nice man - and I can hear him rolling his eyes at that description. But he was such an awesome character. His interactions with his niece were absolutely awesome. In fact, his whole family was. I know this is the third in a series, but I haven't read the others in this series. I was able to enjoy every minute of this book, it truly is a standalone story. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed it wholeheartedly. The characters were great and the story was fun. I will look for more books by this author in the future. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Loved the first half of the book! I really liked Matt's character and wish things would have gone a little more smoothly for him after he reunited with Ryan, but I still enjoyed the story.

A fantastic read!
Right from the first chapter, I was hooked on this book. Every moment was incredibly intriguing and entertaining. Matt and Ryan story had me completely and utterly consumed.
Their first encounter is simply amusing and sexy. This case of mistaken identity was wrapped up in one sinful and naughty package.
The connection they have is so interesting and engaging. As for the chemistry it’s SMOKING hot!
I must say that Matt is definitely the ultimate book boyfriend he checks all the right boxes…definitely swoon worthy🫠
I absolutely adored Ryan’s character also.
So if you’re looking to escape into a billionaire accidental pregnancy romance with engaging captivating characters and a storyline filled with emotion, humour, and divine sexy times, you will be thoroughly satisfied with Matt and Ryan’s remarkably exhilarating and beautiful romance.

A chance encounter and mistaken identity has Ryan dragging Matt to a wedding, where she doesn’t want to be but needs to save face. She believes Matt is an escort and he doesn’t get a chance to explain that he is not but goes along for the ride and she disappears before morning after a night together. Months later, another chance meeting across the ocean, has her realizing that Matt is not an escort and luckily she does run into him after finding out news that will change both of their lives forever. Matt is all in, he wants Ryan but Ryan has issues due to her upbringing and has lots of baggage. Matt will do whatever it takes to make Ryan realize that she is his and he is hers and he is not going anywhere.
A good read with steam, laughs, banter and great characters. I really liked Matt, not a man wh*** and willing to prove what an amazing man and protector he is. Ryan had a few issues, opened up a bit but it took awhile.

**Sparky, Engaging, Contemporary Romance**

No Knight is an excellent contemporary romance that is intense, sparky and engaging, and pulled me in from the very first page.

Ryan has been dumped by her partner and finds herself in a tricky spot, needing a fake date to face her ex and his new bride at their wedding. In a moment of desperation, she accosts a handsome stranger, Matt, and what starts as a wild, night soon leads to a complication neither of them saw coming. Just when it seems their brief, passionate fling is over, fate intervenes, bringing them face-to-face once again.

The heart of this story lies in the beautiful, slow-burn development of Ryan and Matt's relationship. Ryan is a character molded by a tough past, making her wary and hesitant to trust. Watching her slowly open up to Matt is a deeply satisfying journey. Meanwhile, Matt, who has a history as a bit of a player, finds himself completely captivated by Ryan. Their relationship develops over time, with all the delightful push and pull of two people falling for each other.

It was amazing to revisit characters we'd met in the first two novels (although this is a standalone story and you wouldn't need to have read those books to enjoy this one), adding humour and heart to the novel and making the world feel full and real.

For anyone looking for a well-written, character-driven story with a touch of fate, this book is an absolute must-read.

It's a case of mistaken identity when Ryan thinks the hot guy in a tux is her hired escort for the night. Her cheating ex and current boss is getting married and she's required to attend, and what's a girl to do to save her pride but hire a date? She didn't expect to hit it off so well with him though, enough to not want the night to end.
Mattias Romero was only in that bar to unwind after his own ex's wedding, he certainly didn't plan to attend another. After a stray comment of his was misunderstood and she thought he was an escort, he went along with it because she was so desperate not to go alone. He never planned on letting it go any further without telling her the truth... but by morning she was gone and he lost his chance. He's the one desperate now to find her, but will she ever forgive him?
I love the flirting and banter between these two, the spice and slow burn of their relationship, and the comfortable easy way he treated her at home. Matt's large family and their dynamic was awesome and hilarious, and his friend group and their wives were great too. This is the first book I've read in the series and can be read a a standalone but the first two sound like they could be great too.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The beginning really hooked me, Matt gets mistaken as Ryan's paid date for her ex's wedding. While he let's her assume he is a paid escorts, he is the perfect fake date to show off to the fellow coworkers and ex. After a steamy night together, Matt wakes up alone and can't stop thinking about her. This story had a great premise but I had too many questions/issues to give it 5 stars. Like... why couldn't he find Ryan weeks after she left? Lord knows he has enough money to hire a private investigator if he really wanted. Also I wanted to see a confrontation of Matt crushing all the people who black balled her. I just didn't get the satisfaction of justice being served. For most of the book Ryan is self sabotaging her future due to her past she keeps trying to hide even though we are introduced to her as being a strong ballbuster in a career mainly dominated by men and overcoming of the struggles of a terrible childhood. I lost count the amount of times I screamed, "just let him love you!". There wasn't any major conflict to resolve, just mainly miscommunication and her not believing she deserved a happy ending.

This book was amazing in this series. I had so many laughs from page one. I enjoyed the characters from the other books in the series and seeing how he came alive after being in the other books first. Excited to read more from this author.

If you want a "Touch her and Die, Treat Her Like a Queen" book, here it is!

This was such a fun, spicy, well written book. The main character's banter and chemistry is off the hook. You want both to succeed together!

This is a series and I had not read the others but they are on the TBR now!

You will love this!

Thank you Netgalley and Donna Alam for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I think anyone that’s read the first 2 books in this series expects Matt’s story to be a good one. He is indeed everything you want a romantic lead to be. Patient, kind, funny, sexy, & protective.
Ryan is a woman who has been through a lot, & strives to be self-sufficient in all she does. I’d describe her as intense, but likable.
I laughed so many times while reading this book. Matt’s niece is an absolute hoot. This is sort of a billionaire mistaken identity meet cute that morphs into a second chance trope.
I think it’s an engaging story w/plenty of spice. Great banter between characters. It’s fun to have characters from the previous books pop up again. I don’t want to give away any plot secrets, but it’s definitely a roller coaster. Get ready to experience every emotion. I sped through it, very much wanting to hear Ryan’s back story.
Thanks to the author & publisher for allowing me to read an advance copy via NetGalley.

This was my first book by Donna Alam and honestly, what a way to start! I absolutely loved it.

The banter between the two main characters had me grinning the whole time, playful, flirty, and full of those cheeky little innuendos that make you kick your feet. And the fake relationship? So unique! Usually, they already know each other, but here it all starts from the most random meeting, and it just worked.

I was hooked on the mystery of her past. She keeps hinting that if Matt knew the truth, everything would change, and it had me dying to know what she meant. And when it finally came out about Ryan? I did not see that coming. At all.

I also have to mention their nickname for the baby, way too cute, and honestly, so original. It added this little touch of softness that made me love them even more.

The MMC is the definition of insta-love. He knows what he wants (her!) and does not let up until she gives in. She’s not an easy one, though, and there were so many moments where I was holding my breath, waiting to see how it would play out. But don’t worry, they get that happily ever after in the end… eventually.

Such a fun read with a mix of swoon, suspense, and surprises. Definitely won’t be my last Donna Alam book.

I loved the third book (MF) in the My Kind of Hero series. There’s a case of mistaken identity followed by slow & sensual scenes, and joy at a serendipitous reunion. Matt gets revenge for Ryan even when they’re not together. He’s protective, even when he says he’s not a nice man, he definitely is. I liked Matt’s POV when he’s talking to his married friends—he’s not shy about falling for Ryan. Ryan’s had to work hard to outrun her past—I see her fighting for her place with men who try to bully & use her and when she finally finds the one worthy of her, those vulnerabilities come out hard. Thank you to NetGalley for the review copy.

Ok this featured a trope that’s one of my least favorite and I had no idea from the blurb. When I realized where it was going I wasn’t thrilled but I thought… ok I’ll keep going. Unfortunately this one never settled into its groove for me. The characters didn’t feel deep enough and the big bombshells that were dropped were duds. There’s a lot of secondary characters that I’m sure are the main characters in other books- it was a lot but also I did fine not reading the other ones so this could be read as a standalone.

Overall: 2 stars, 5 steam (most of the steam is in the beginning of the book)

Thank you netgalley for the ARC!
