The autumn vibes were the best part, I loved the writing and the descriptions. Autumn is my favourite season and this small town, with all its activities and decorations, was so cozy and inviting.
But the couple and the relationship were a huge letdown..

Madison receives a anonymous letter that her family inn is in trouble and that her family needs her, so she goes back to her hometown. Something she's been avoiding for years, because she didn't want to run into her ex, Zach, but now they're forced to spend time together. He's living in a cabin next to the inn, while he's helping renovate it. Madison is there temporarily, but their connection never died, sparks are flying every time they're together.. But are they willing to give themselves a second chance, she's leaving again, after all.. Would it be any different this time?

I genuinely liked the secondary characters and I'm looking forward to Liam's book.. I'm definitely reading it, because the vibes and writing style weren't the problem here, the direction of the romance story was, so I'm hoping his book is going to be a lot better! Don't let my rating dissuade you from reading it, you might love it, it just wasn't for me..

This being tagged as enemies to lovers should be a crime, she was fantasizing about him in chapter three and she just didn't stop. The number of times she thought about him and his hands was far too much.. In general, the amount of time they spent fantasizing about each other was overwhelming. It started to get on my nerves.. In what universe is this considered enemies to lovers. I couldn't fully enjoy all the autumn vibes, because I was so annoyed..

The miscommunication was so stupid, you're telling me they broke up and haven't seen each other for years because of something that took them literally a minute to clear up. Seriously, what are we doing?? And you would think this would make them realize that they need to communicate better, right? Yeah, you would think wrong.. It happened again and again.. The last time it happened, she came to talk to him and left WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING.. Communication is clearly a foreign word to them.. And then it got resolved, just like that.. Like nothing happened.. Frustrated isn't a big enough word to describe how I was feeling..

I didn't like Madison at all, I'm sorry, I tried, but I hated the way she was behaving. I was far too much annoyed at her to ever truly like her. I liked Zach, he was sweet and he deserved better, even do he clearly didn't know how to communicate either. I was honestly rooting for them to brake up for good. Seems healthier for me, then them staying together... But, that's just my opinion..

Overall, while it wasn't for me, I would still recommend it if you looking for something cozy and autumnal and you don't mind the miscommunication..

I’ll give it like 3.5 stars. So, my initial take on this was grumbling about the fact that all the tension just clears up at the drop of a hat and there’s like ten emotional or mysterious things that are just over with the second they get brought up…and also their communication skills are absolute garbage and no wonder they’re a hot mess. Plus there are a couple minor continuity things that ruffled my feathers. On top of that…Madison might kind of be the worst. The culmination of the tension in their relationship…I was cheering Zach on while he yelled.
But okay…I’ll admit…it’s pretty cozy. And there are definitely sweet moments and it’s all very cinnamony and fall. I wanted to eat my body weight in cinnamon buns by the end of it. If you’re a fan of Hallmark holiday movies…this is definitely your cozy fall read. It didn’t occur to me until about three quarters of the way through the book that THAT’S what I was reading. It’s a fluffy cozy fall romance with just enough drama and spice to make it a quick light read but not enough to make you actually sad. I get it now. The town is super cute and the side characters are all pretty charming. Especially Kit. So I’m definitely going to follow the series. I’ll just try to be less critical of the tension and character building for a series that’s clearly intended to be lighthearted.

Now I absolutely love love love a cozy autumn read in summer, I thrive for it. The majority of times I find them quite average, but this one just had that extra something. For once it wasn’t a love at first sight but I rekindled romance. The chemistry between the two main characters was so well written. And the author did an amazing job at setting the scene, I honestly felt like I could close my eyes and imagine im right there in that inn eating cinnamon buns.

I hope there will be more to come in this series because I honestly can’t wait!

This was such a fun and cosy read. Harper Graham's writing style drags you into a very warm, welcoming world that you don't want to let go of. That's exactly why it's hard to put The Cinnamon Spice Inn down. It has everything a seasonal read needs to be: it has romance (and if you know anything about me, you should know I LOVE me a second chance romance), a bit of mystery and a lot of cosiness. Who doesn't want to cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate, some cookies and this book. The side characters are also super fun and you actually get to know them a bit which definitely sparked my interest to read the next book in this series!

This was gorgeous. Cosy, spicy, autumnal, small town, forced proximity, friends to enemies to lovers - I don't think there's much else you need to know!

She's a small town girl who moved to the big city, but receives a mysterious letter urging her to return to her family's inn which is floundering and needs her help. He's a flannel-clad handyman who agrees to help renovate the inn after a disaster. They dated years ago and were childhood sweethearts, but it all fell apart when she moved to New York. Now Madison's returned home and Zach is around to help again, will they get the second chance they're both hoping for?

I've read a handful of small town, autumn themed romances recently, and honestly, this one blew the others out of the water. The fall descriptions were just *chef's kiss*. I'm truly craving all those gorgeous autumn foods and fall experiences - give me all the apple butter cinnamon rolls and pumpkinfests and cosy nights around the fire on a lakeside wrapped in blankets in Adirondack chairs. The crafting circle of women was a particular highlight too - women of all ages coming together to create something beautiful for the town's benefit. Sigh.

The only thing that bothered me about it was the miscommunication trope, which isn't top of my favourites. There was a lot of "just speak to each other!!" going on in my head while reading this, but the story pans out well in the end, and you get the happy ending you're looking for, so it doesn't concern me that much!

This is the first in a series entitled Maple Falls with more books to come - I can't wait to dive back into this world again with our next duo. The cast of characters was lovely so I'm excited to see which ones crop up again in the next book. I genuinely feel homesick reading this book - despite never living in small town America!

Slow burn, second chance romance and and the perfect book for fall.

Unfortunately, I chose not to finish this book due to adult content that goes against my personal comfort level. That said, I want to express my sincere appreciation for being approved to read it. I truly enjoyed the writing style and found the first few chapters engaging and well-written. While it wasn’t the right fit for me personally, I believe this story will resonate with many readers who appreciate this genre and its themes.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn is a second chance romance featuring Madison and Zach. Madison, having lived in NYC working as a food editor for the past six years, has come home to Maple Falls upon hearing the news that her family's inn, the Cinnamon Spice Inn, is in trouble and needs her help. There she runs into (and runs into and runs into) her ex-boyfriend, Zach, who is helping fix the inn up. As they remodel the inn, rediscover each other, and Madison slowly remembers how much she loves Maple Falls, will she decide to stay for good?

This was such a cute read! I've always adored the idea of living in a cute, quaint, cozy feeling town like Maple Falls. The cozy fall vibes were here with this story, and I loved reading about the inn and the different members of Maple Falls, each with their own equally adorable business, and especially loved the two Highland cows, Pumpkin and Spice.

The one thing that really didn't sit well with me is the pure amount of unnecessary miscommunication. It started off strong, but as the plot and relationship evolved, there were so many issues and hurt feelings that simply could have been avoided altogether by just talking.

Overall, I really enjoyed this and would definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a cute and cozy romance, especially with fall coming up!

Then this one belongs at the top of your fall TBR. I couldn’t put it down. And yes—I definitely want to book a room at The Cinnamon Spice Inn.

The title of this book totally drew me in, it screams 'read me under a blanket in front of a fire with a cinnamon spice drink' and it did not disappoint. I loved all the tropes - second chance romance, childhood sweethearts, small town/city life, and many more. Madison and Jacks burning on/off again romance, underpinned by the small town charm and Madisons determination to keep her family inn, made it a really enjoyable read.

This novel offered a cozy small-town atmosphere that reminded me of a classic Hallmark movie. I truly appreciated the way the characters were portrayed—each with depth and warmth—which contributed to the overall feel-good vibe of the story.

One of my favorite characters was Grams. Despite her age, she was full of life, joy, and wisdom, and added a vibrant energy to the narrative that I really enjoyed.

That said, I personally found the level of spice in the book a bit more than I usually prefer. However, everyone has their own spice tolerance, and for readers who enjoy small-town romance with heartwarming characters and a generous dose of heat, this book will be a perfect fit!

i loved this book and it was certainly more than cinnamon that had spice to it. swish-swoo were we swooning.
i sunk into this book and didn't come out until the end by which point i didn't want to step out!
Madison is going home from the city to her old small town of Maple Falls. shes only coming though because her family inn needs saving. its her home so she has to do this.
Zach is here for one thing. to fix the inn. thats it. until he sees Madison again and all the feelings hes tried to pretend dont exist are too hard to forget, too hard to put aside.
watching Madison and Zach's growing growth and feelings was just spot on. but aside from them they had so much more going on for both of them in this book. we got to meet the locals and feel the locals. we got to feel the town and the shop fronts, visit the locations and soak in the atmosphere too.
so many beautiful characters were met. so many beautiful scenes we felt truly part of. it was cosy in all the best ways. and there was humour, wit and lightness mixed with such emotional ties and depth. i loved every single part of this book and simply could no WOULDN'T put it down.

This book is everything you could want in a fall read. Cozy vibes, an intriguing mystery, heartfelt family dynamics, lost loves, and the charm of a small town. I devoured it in one sitting!

The characters are incredibly relatable, and their situations feel authentic and grounded. While the plot follows a familiar path, that only adds to its comfort. It’s like settling into your favourite sweater. You might anticipate how it ends, but that doesn’t take away from the joy of uncovering all the little details along the way.

My only (tiny) problem? The timeline for refurbishing an entire inn in just two weeks felt a bit far-fetched, especially with little mention of the actual construction process. But honestly, that didn’t take away from my enjoyment.

Overall, this is a warm, delightful story that’s perfect for curling up with. Grab your PSL and a blanket—this one’s bound to become a fall favourite!

Unfortunately, I think this book wasn't for me.
While the author did write a coherent and cozy story, it was a bit simplistic. I also didn't enjoy the writing style.
From a publishing perspective, the book has a beautiful cover, and it's edited well.

I absolutely loved my visit to maple falls and cannot wait for another one. The tropes and setting were absolutely perfect and the characters were just chefs kiss. This book felt like everything I wanted out of the dream harbor series.

This book has all the fall cozy vibes and a second chance romance. The town is super cute and seriously sounds like a dream to live in. The last half of the book went by much faster for me than everything before it. The first half of the book felt very repetitive talking about how things had ended between Madison and Zach when she went off to chase her dreams. I do believe it is an important part of the story, I just don't think it needed repeated nearly every chapter. This book was a nice palette cleanser between reading more intense books or books with heavier topics.

Well what can I say I absolutely ate this book up it was all kinds of perfect and just what I needed to start feeling all nice and cosy

The Cinnamon Spice Inn gave me all the fall feels. It’s a small-town romance with just the right amount of heartache, hope, and healing. Madison returns home to help her dad save the family inn, only to find that not much has changed…especially her lingering feelings for her ex, Zach. Cue the angst, the banter, and the town that low-key ships them like it’s their full-time job.

There’s so much to love here: a cozy autumn setting, cows named Pumpkin and Spice (SO cute), a dog named Coco, and an old flame doing handyman repairs while trying not to fall back in love. I also really enjoyed the food-centered scenes and how Madison and her friend worked to reinvent the inn’s menu. It added charm and warmth.

But man…the miscommunication trope was everywhere. Every. Where. It made me want to shake the characters more than once. Still, despite the eye rolls, I stayed hooked. The emotional depth, the mystery around the letters, and the reveal about Madison’s dad selling the inn? All of it came together in a way that felt satisfying.

If you like slow burns, second-chance romance, and small towns that feel like home, this one’s worth the read.

If books really are a gateway to escape into then I'd definitely choose Maple Falls, everything about this small town felt like coming home. I adored the Autumn references and sense of community. This book is packed with memorable and loveable characters.

I want to stay at the Inn, enjoy the local festival and eat all the Autumn treats while sipping on a Spiced Latte. The setting was so atmospheric and immersive, the author did a fantastic job creating such a warm and cozy backdrop for the story.

I really liked Madison and Zach's characters, they may appear to be opposites but you can't deny their chemistry when they are together. Sometimes the best pairings are the ones you may not except to work. Let's just say the spice was spicing!

I hope that this is just the beginning because I would love to see stories from some of the side characters in this book. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future and you're going to want to add this one to your Autumn TBR!
