A fiery coffee-obsessed city girl returns to her hometown to save her family’s inn… only to be stuck working side by side with her ex—the grumpy, bearded handyman who knows exactly how to push her buttons. Sparks fly, old wounds resurface, and the Cinnamon Spice Inn might not be the only thing getting a second chance this autumn.
This book perfectly pulled me into the cozy autumn atmosphere—it was truly lovely, and Madison and Zach are such a fun couple trying to rekindle their relationship. They keep clashing, of course, but that just makes it all the more entertaining. Such a sweet second chance romance! I really liked the little mystery element at the start with the letters—I kept wondering if I’d guessed right about who was behind them.
The small town is beautifully described, the map at the beginning is adorable, and throughout the book you can almost smell the coffee and cinnamon rolls (even though I didn’t have them beside me, the vibes were there). The only thing that bothered me a little was Madison and Zach’s constant attempts to talk without ever resolving anything—it felt a bit circular until the very end. But the book itself was never boring or dragging, which I appreciated.
Overall, I definitely recommend it—the characters are all super lovable, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series because there’s so much potential. Just make sure you have some cinnamon rolls and coffee ready, and the book will do the rest.

Cinnamon Spice Inn has all the ingredients for a cozy autumn read. The setting reminds me of the community and quirkiness of Gilmore Girls and the backdrop of the inn feels cozy and personal.
When Madison revives an anonymous letter explaining that her family inn is struggling. She rushes back and finds the place in an even worse state than she could imagine. The story follows Madison trying to turn the family business around with the help of old friends and her ex boyfriend Zach whom she's been trying to avoid since their break up. This leads to wholesome relationships, nostalgia and the feeling of autumn.
Now what I didn't vibe with was just how big the miscommunication trope was for this book. Both MC are horribly bad at communicating and it feels like the problem is just repeating itself. The spice is there but very mild.
At times I felt more captivated by the towns dynamics and characters than I did the MC. Which is to say I'll probably pick up the next book in the series as well.
All in all a cozy autumn read for those days where you just need a good story to get though the weather

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Cozy, Sweet, & Perfectly Autumnal
The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham was the ultimate cozy fall read 🍂☕🥧. From the first page, it felt like slipping into a chunky sweater on the first chilly day of autumn. The story gave me all the small-town charm—festivals, cozy inns, apple pie, and that warm sense of community that makes you nostalgic for hometown days and first loves.
Madison’s return to Maple Falls to help her family’s inn had me hooked right away, especially when she ran into her first love, Zack. Their second-chance romance was sweet, believable, and had just enough spice to feel like Hallmark…but with a little extra heat 😉. I loved their playful banter, the spark of chemistry that never really faded, and even the touches of miscommunication—it felt natural and added to the tension without being frustrating.
The atmosphere was where this book truly shined 🌟. Between the crackling fireplaces, the scent of cinnamon in the air, and the comfort of a town where everyone is rooting for the couple to find their way back, it made me want to curl up with an apple spice latte while reading. The side characters added so much fun and heart, and I’m really hoping we get their stories in future Maple Falls books.
Overall, this was a lighthearted, heartwarming, and cozy romance that perfectly captured the magic of fall. If you love Gilmore Girls-style small towns, second-chance love stories, and books that make you laugh, swoon, and crave apple pie, this is one to pick up. 🍁✨💕.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn was such a refreshing, quick read! It made the hot August days feel like fall. I instantly craved an apple spice latte and a slice of apple pie! This book is lighthearted, full of small town cozy vibes, and it makes you reminisce about hometown days and first loves (but don't do anything drastic this is fiction! lol). This is a perfect book to curl up with when you crave those cozy feels!

I read The Cinnamon Spice Inn in just one day—I couldn’t put it down! I absolutely fell in love with the characters, especially Madison and Zach, and watching their relationship slowly come back together was so sweet and a little spice (🌶). The small-town setting, the friendships, and the fall atmosphere made me feel like I was right there at the inn and their small cozy town.
It’s such an easy, cozy read that completely pulled me in and left me ready for the fall season. If you love second-chance romances and small-town charm, you will love it! It made me want a fall getaway!

If you’re looking for the ultimate fall romance, this book is it. Set in the charming town of Maple Falls, it has everything I love about seasonal reads—cozy inns, fall festivals, mouthwatering autumn treats, and all the small town charm. Madison’s return home to help her family’s inn (and run into her first love, Zack) had me hooked. Their second chance romance felt tender and believable, filled with sweet nostalgia, cozy moments, and just enough spice, think Hallmark, but after dark.
This is the first in a new series and it perfectly captures those warm, fuzzy fall vibes. The small town atmosphere, the seasonal descriptions, and the balance of coziness with romance made this such a satisfying autumn read. I’ll definitely be looking for more Maple Falls stories!

The Cinnamon Spice Inn is a super cozy fall romance.
FMC Madison receives a mysterious note saying that her family's Cinnamon Spice Inn is in dire need of her help. So she packs her bags immediately and heads down to Maple Falls from NYC. When she arrives, she finds the inn to be in worse shape than she had expected, with very few guests on the books. Add to that a storm that causes a roof collapse, and the inn is in trouble of going under. Madison's first night back, she also happens to run into her ex, Zach, whom she walked out on a number of years ago. But, the second she sees Zach again, she is immediately drawn right back in.
MMC Zach has lived in Maple Falls his entire life, and works as a handyman and contractor. So of course, Madison's father calls Zach right over when the roof collapses. Zach does not expect to run into Madison, his ex, whom he sort of never got over. The worst part, he finds himself immediately attracted to her. Zach refuses to allow his feelings through because he cannot handle losing Madison a second time...but will he be able to keep his hands to himself?
This story is super cozy, everything about the town of Maple Falls just screams small town autumn coziness. The Pumpkin Pie Bakery when Madison walks in and describes "The air was warm and filled with scents of cinnamon, vanilla, and freshly brewed coffee." It is a town I would like to live in, "The inn was set along the spring-fed lake, with a walking trail that wrapped around its entire perimeter" what a dream! I love the names of the other stores, ones I hope will potentially be in subsequent books (the next one is referenced at the end of the story!)
I found both Madison and Zach to be equally irritating as they both were bad at communicating. Honestly if they could have just been honest with each other, and NOT make assumptions, they would have avoided a lot of heartbreak! But, their second chance romance is super sweet and a perfect read for fall, or to get you in the mood for cool fall days and warm drinks. I also enjoyed the other characters in the story, Gram, always secretly meddling, and Madison's friends, old and new, were all wonderful. I loved Madison's father, and all his rescued animals.
There is a little spice in this cozy romance as well, but it is relatively mild.
This book is extremely charming and gets you in the mood for cozy blankets, warm fires, yummy treats and pumpkin spice lattes.
Some Fav Quotes:
"The warm dining room with its vaulted ceiling and crackling fire. Nobody could come here and not feel like they were being enclosed in a big, warm hug."
"And yet, there was that magnetic pull deep in her chest. A burning sensation. Like she was a moth being drawn into the flames, ready to be set alight."
"First the sex dream, now this. As if she needed a real-life encore to last night's thoroughly inappropriate fantasy."
"All the while, Zach remained cornered at the bar, sleeves rolled up, forearms flexed, hand wrapped around his tumbler like he owned the room. He looked a hell of a lot sexier than was fair."
"Heaven would've been the coffee Zach had offered her this morning. Fresh, hot, and handed over with those rough hands that used to know every inch of her body."
"God, he was something. Brutal, stubborn, beautiful."
"But that spark between them, the one he'd tried to ignore for years, was still there. Still crackling. Light a match, and they'd go up in flames."
"Focus, she reminded herself fiercely. Smile. Act normal. Do not, under any circumstances, climb him like a tree."
"Bravery isn't always loud. Sometimes it's just showing up when you're unsure. Sometimes it's staying when it would be easier to leave."
"Madison Kelly wasn't just any girl. She was the only one who had ever wrecked him-and the only one he hadn't been able to forget."
Thank you so much to Netgalley, Bookouture, and the author for a copy of this book!

** spoiler alert ** 2.75 stars
The cosy vibes of the books are what kept reading as it truly gave the autumn feel in summer which is perfect. I fell in love maple falls and i’m now craving a good cinnamon bun or pumpkin spiced latte.
However I didn’t feel much for the romance between the two characters. Most of their feelings were lust and i didn’t feel the spark of love between them. It was clear that the FMC Madison loved the MMC Zach’s hands and was constantly fantasising about them. As much i love spice honestly it was but much anytime they talked it lead them to undressing each other in their mind and later on in real life. Well that was then weren’t on a break as the miscommunication trope ran high in this book. Like the reason they broke up in first place was solved in 2 minutes and paragraph. Then anytime conflict happened it was mostly just because miscommunication and i’m screaming just to talk to each other. like using this trope is infuriating but isn’t bad, but like 3-4 times is a bit excessive.
Also the mystery of who sent the letters i get where the author was coming from adding a mystery but i wasn’t invested in that plot line as it wasn’t that exciting.
Don’t let this review turn you off though as the cosy vibes is immaculate and i can’t wait for the second book between Liam and Cassidy.
thank you net galley for this arc :))

The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham is the kind of story that feels like slipping into a cozy sweater on the first chilly day of fall. At its heart is a woman who finds herself drawn back to a small town inn full of charm, community, and second chances. Between the crackling fireplaces, the scent of cinnamon in the air, and the spark of an unexpected romance, this book wraps you up in comfort and makes you believe in fresh starts. It’s sweet, heartwarming, and impossible to put down once you’ve stepped inside the inn’s doors.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn is a book set in a small town called Maple Falls. It follows the FMC (female main character) Madison as she moves back home from New York to help her family bring the inn back to its former glory.. Whilst there, she runs into Zach, her former childhood friend and ex- boyfriend, and boy do the sparks fly..
I really enjoyed reading this story. I dont normally like the miscommunication trope, but it was done pretty well in the book and didn't frustrate me as much as it normally would. If you are looking for autumn vibes and cosy romance, this is a book for you!
It will be released on 28th August 2025. Go grab a copy!

All the fall vibes that the Cinnamon Spice Inn was giving! I was sucked in with the fall atmosphere, the fall treats, and of course Madison and Zach’s second chance at love.
Tropes: Childhood friends to lovers, second chance, forced proximity, small town, dual POV, miscommunication
They dated in their teenage/early adulthood, Madison was offered a job in the city and was excited to let Zach know but caught him with another girl.
Fast forward many years later, Madison received a letter regarding her family’s inn that is struggling financially. She returned to the small-town inn that she grew up in and immediately fell back into the town drama and how everyone knew that eventually her and Zach will get back together again.
Although the miscommunication trope is my least favorite trope, at the end I’m glad that Madison spoke up about the misunderstanding and how she jumped to conclusions about Zach and the other woman. Her job being in the city didn’t make it easier because Zach does not want to leave. I felt Madison was selfish at times when she didn’t respond to Zach and how he felt used and that she might leave him again. Overall, I was there for the fall vibes and not for the drama and miscommunication.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookcouture for providing me this advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review!

The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham was such a cozy, feel-good read. It honestly felt like slipping into a chunky sweater with a hot latte in hand. The small-town setting had all the autumn vibes, and the inn itself gave me that perfect “Hallmark but with more spice” energy.
I really enjoyed Madison as a main character—she’s driven but still relatable, and her banter with Zach had me smiling the whole time. Their second-chance romance was sweet, a little snarky at times, and had just enough tension to keep me hooked. The atmosphere was so comforting that I flew through the book in almost one sitting.
If you love Gilmore Girls-style small towns, cozy fall settings, and a romance that makes you both laugh and swoon, this one’s a perfect pick. It’s light, heartwarming, and exactly what I wanted for a seasonal read.

🧲 Forced Proximity
🏡 Cosy Small Town
🤎 Second Chance Romance
🌶 Spicy
The Cinnamon Spice Inn has so much to offer! It is the cosiest, small town romance with the perfect sprinkle of autumn vibes.
Madison is our FMC, called back to her hometown by a ✨ mysterious letter ✨ from an ✨ anonymous friend✨, claiming that her father needs her help running the family business, The Cinnamon Spice Inn 🍂 .
This inn… this town… this family! They are honestly just pulled from a Hallmark movie and danced right onto the page. Whilst her dad is kind of wilfully incompetent, her grandma is sassy, speaks her mind and keeps everyone honest!
Madison notices the heart and soul of the inn is missing, which she believes got lost over time following her mother’s passing. All of the things she loved about the inn are no longer present (including her mother’s homemade cinnamon rolls). 🥮
BUT these are the only cinnamon rolls that have been missing from her life - enter our cinnamon roll MMC and childhood love Zach. He is the sweetest, most supportive little bean - running around town helping anyone who even looks remotely in need of help. He is super kind and helpful but goodness me the miscommunication between these two almost killed me. To be honest, it was probably quite realistic for some people but usually you’ll see at least some growth and over time people stop or reduce the miscommunication. Not these two! They could win a Guiness World Record for the sheer quantity of times they were unable to have an honest or direct conversation. That being said, I rooted for them and wanted to see them end up together! Despite being marketed as an enemies to lovers, it’s more of a second chance romance, reunited soul mates type vibe. There’s a little conflict/tension but ultimately they’re both pining for each other from the start.
It really felt like this was being set up for a Liam book, which I would love to see! If I was feeling critical, I would say it felt like this book was crammed with tropes (second chance, small town, forced proximity, work romance, Save-The-Inn, miscommunication, mystery letters) and I’d like to see it a little more stripped back for the next instalment.
Throughout The Cinnamon Spice Inn, Harper Graham refers to so many different sweet autumn treats that really got me in that spooky season mood. I know it’s still summer but if you’re looking for someone to get you ready for the autumn season, grab your fave pumpkin spiced treat, a soft blanket, fireplace roaring (or if you’re like me, a fireplace YouTube video on loop with the heating on) and dive into Maple Falls with Madison and Zach.

unfortunately this was not for me. It wasn’t really cozy or making me feel the tension or angst that I wanted 😭
I didn’t connect nor really like the characters enough to want to root for them to end up together. I liked the cast of secondary characters but the way the two mc’s almost only reminisced the times they were in bed together didn’t give me much emotional depth to them? I do however like that they resolved the miscommunication around why Madison left in the first place but that was quickly followed up by an onslaught of misunderstandings.

Wow this book was autumnal vibes to the max! And I loved it1
It was a great second-chance romance where the couple only had eyes for each other. The chemistry between the characters was amazing and I really loved all the side characters, hoping they'd get back together. Although it has the miscommunication trope, I really liked the story and how it involved the aptly named 'Cinnamon Spice Inn'.
I'm really looking forward to the next book!

The Cinnamon Spice Inn isn’t just a book — it’s a sanctuary. From the very first page, I was swept into a world so rich with warmth, charm, and emotional depth that I didn’t want to leave. The inn itself feels like a character: alive with flickering fireplaces, the scent of fresh-baked pastries, and the kind of magic that only exists in stories that stay with you forever.
The characters are beautifully written, each with their own unique quirks, quiet struggles and radiant moments of joy. The protagonist’s journey is equal parts healing, discovery, and romance. It is a story handled with such grace that I found myself laughing, crying, cheering and yelling in frustration - a good frustration - throughout its entirety.
This book is a remedy for anyone who’s ever needed a reminder that second chances do exist, that love can be found in unexpected places, and that sometimes, the most powerful, and life changing things, can happen in the quietest corners of the world.
If I could give it ten stars, I would. Five will have to do.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this eARC!

This is a fun read for fall! If you want something cozy that will give you all the autumn vibes this is for you! The inn, the town, the community… all of it was perfect for fall!
Madison has just returned home after receiving an anonymous letter saying that her family inn needed help to stay afloat. But Madison hasn’t been home since her mom passed away, and she caught her then boyfriend Zach “cheating.” Now she was home, and forced to come to terms on what was happening with her family’s inn, and what happened with Zach.
I enjoyed this book, but the miscommunication Madison had without about EVERYONE she was close to made me lower my rating… so much could’ve been resolved way faster if she just spoke to her dad, grandma (whom I love!) and most of all her ex boyfriend Zach from the beginning… but I guess this book would’ve been way shorter, lol.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this eARC!

I enjoyed this cozy read! Would be great to read during autumn time with a warm blanket and some pumpkin spice! The characters were cute and it checked the box for a sweet small town romance
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC!

Loved this lighthearted cozy read. It had me craving a good PSL the entire time. I loved Madison and Zach and was rooting for them as they tried to navigate all their fears and feelings at once. While they do have a bit of a miscommunication thing going on it's totally believable for everything they've been through. The two are navigating the fall out of their relationship years ago and all the feelings that never went away. I loved their story and would definitely pick up another book by this author.

Looking for a cozy small town book for this autumn, look no further!! The Cinnamon Spice Inn is such a cute book and gave me all sorts of feelings. It heavily reminds me of a series I love to watch every fall, total coincidence that it reminds me of it, but man do I love it. Harper is fantastic at building the imagery and making you feel like you are watching a movie as you read on.
*Spoilerish*
This book is somewhat spicy, but it doesn't feel like they rushed the characters into it. Now they did have a past, but it didn't feel like it was instant back to romance? I do wish if there was a little bit more on forgiveness and trying to build up a foundation again, but it didn't take away from my love of this book. The only thing that really frustrated me, was the back and forth. It felt way too much. But again, I could be picky.
Things to note, this is NOT an enemies to lovers. I would classify it as second chance. Madison has a problem with running from her problems yet blaming others. Very frustrating. There was little to no communication and that is HUGE when it comes to relationships.
Breaking this down, if you want just a book to read that gives you feelings, and you take it like a holiday movie, its good.
Thank you netgalley and of course Harper for letting me read a copy!! Cant wait for book 2.
