Firstly, thank you for giving me the opportunity to receive and read an advanced copy of The Cinnamon Spice Inn. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Secondly, why is it still summer? Harper Graham has left me in such a slump, wishing the British summer away and craving the “er” months!

The Cinnamon Spice Inn was absolutely perfect! The detail and description of Maple Falls was beautiful. I can just imagine the pumpkins, the smell of all the different foods, all the oranges, browns and golds! Then there’s Mads and Zach! What a heart warming love story of childhood lovers getting a second chance! I absolutely adored the love Zach showed for his lady, Madison. I loved the drive to fight for her and felt sincere sadness when he was ready to just walk away!

The sense of community, from the friendships formed, to the elders made Maple Falls the place everyone would want to be! Heck, I’d love a visit myself to The Cinnamon Spice Inn, book me in!

What a beautiful book, the letters are interesting and the twist at the end left a tear! This book deserves five stars and I cannot wait to one, see the story continue of Madison and Zach, but two, watch The Spiced Cocoa Cafe, come to life!

I really enjoyed this book. It gave me all the cozy, small-town vibes I was hoping for — think twinkle lights, warm drinks, and small community. The romance was sweet and I loved all the glimpses into the past.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I was hoping for a slightly bigger romantic gesture at the end — something a little more swoon-worthy to ensure there was no way either of them could walk away. But overall, it still left me smiling and feeling all warm and fuzzy. Definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for something cozy and romantic.

I believe this is the author’s debut novel. I enjoyed the small town vibes, the coziness of the season and how the town welcomed Madison back to the inn and the town with open arms.

There was a little bit of mystery, joy in all the right places and meddling best friends and grandmothers too.

My only critique is that the miscommunication trope went on a little too long. Once or twice I could understand, but having known they had made the wrong assumption in the past, I wish they could have just stopped and had a conversation like adults. For two people who have known since other since childhood and used to be best friends, it was starting to become a little unbelievable.

I would recommend this book to readers who like mysterious circumstances, miscommunication tropes, cozy small towns, forced proximity, second chances and HEA.

I would like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own and my review is voluntarily given. As always, I wish you happy reading!

The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham is everything I look for in a comfort read—tender, atmospheric, and brimming with quiet emotional depth. From the very first page, I felt like I had stepped into a place I didn’t want to leave.

Madison’s journey to healing unfolds with authenticity and warmth, and the setting of the seaside inn is so vividly drawn, it practically becomes its own character. The pacing is gentle but never slow, and the romance develops with the kind of emotional tension and nuance that fans of slow-burn love stories will absolutely adore.

There were two lines that truly encapsulated the heart of this story for me:

“Sometimes, the place you’re running from is the place you need to be still in—just long enough to let the pieces fall back into place.”

And this unforgettable one:

“You don’t have to be whole to be welcome here. Just be warm, be kind, and bring your hunger—we’ll handle the rest.”

Graham’s prose is inviting without being overly sentimental, and the characters feel lived-in and real. Readers who enjoy books by Debbie Macomber, Jenny Colgan, or RaeAnne Thayne will find much to love here. I especially appreciated how the story balanced comfort with vulnerability—it’s not just sweet, it’s earned.

This is the kind of novel that leaves you with a soft heart and a sudden urge to bake something cinnamon-spiced. Highly recommended for fans of heartfelt fiction, small-town charm, and healing love stories. I’ll definitely be watching for whatever Harper Graham writes next.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the early opportunity to read this lovely book in exchange for an honest review.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham is a cosy, dual POV autumnal read with a strong seasonal atmosphere. Think warm kitchens, crisp mornings, and small-town charm. I picked it up hoping for a gentle, comforting story, and while the setting delivered exactly that, I found the romance between Madison and Zach a little uneven.

Their relationship follows an enemies to lovers arc, which I usually find compelling, but here it sometimes felt rushed or overly reliant on past tension instead of present growth. I struggled to fully connect with their emotional journey, even though the premise (renovating her family's old inn together) had potential for opportunities for more depth and intimacy.

What stood out more for me were the supporting characters. The town felt alive thanks to a cast of quirky and well-meaning locals who added warmth and texture to the story. From meddling neighbors to supportive friends, I found these side characters often brought more heart and humour than the central romance.

Overall, this is a comforting read ideal for autumn weekends, especially if you enjoy small-town stories with a dash of spice and a strong sense of place. While I didn’t fully connect with the main couple, I enjoyed the cosy tone and the sense of community throughout.

3.5 stars - I had high hopes for this book, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The miscommunication between Madison and Zach was relentless, to the point where it became frustrating rather than compelling. Their relationship felt more self-destructive than romantic, with little emotional depth beyond physical attraction. The ending wrapped things up far too neatly, glossing over years of unresolved tension in a way that didn’t feel earned.
That said, I did enjoy the charming town of Maple Falls and its warm, tight-knit community. The side characters were delightful, and I wish the story had spent more time with them and the quirky animals at the inn.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn was hands down one of the cosiest reads I’ve picked up in 2025. It’s winter here in Australia, and this book was exactly what I needed—hot choc in hand, cardigan on, and fully ready to be wrapped in a warm hug of a story.

Maple Falls is straight-up dreamy. Big Stars Hollow vibes and I’m Here. For. It. The town has this wholesome, festive charm that made me want to pack a bag and move in immediately.

Maddison and Zach’s romance? Perfection. The kind of second-chance love that only comes from shared history and years of unresolved feelings. I was rooting for them through every (and sometimes frustrating) misunderstanding. Sweet with just the right sprinkle of spice—like cinnamon itself!

Also, tiny magical touches?? Yes please. I loved that little twist of mystery, and the side characters totally stole my heart—Kit, I am watching you.

I devoured this in one sitting and didn’t want to leave. If you’re after a heartwarming small-town read that feels like a snuggly blanket on a cold day, this is the book for you!

Filled with such a sense of cosy nostalgia that it had me yearning for a life I have not lived.

I enjoyed this book a lot, however, the miscommunication between our main characters got old, fast. I would have loved some more of the letter mystery sub-plot.

It was a very cosy book, with some lovely prose. Recommend this to anyone who is a fan of these types of cosy, small-town romantic, hallmark-style, some spice books.

When food writer Madison receives a mysterious letter asking her to save her family's inn, she heads home. She is not looking forward to seeing her first love and ex-boyfriend, Zach. I loved the cozy fall vibes of this story. This is a small town I'd love to live in, and I adore the history of the characters and families. The author did a great job of drawing us into the small town world, complete with all its cozy vibes. The story is:

- rekindled romance
- first love
- cozy foodie vibes
- opposites attract
- small town living

My main complaint was the main character's difficulty with communication. It's heavy on the miscommunication trope, although I love the characters and their romance; their communication sucked. I love small-town cozy vibes, and the author does a fabulous job of bringing them alive for the readers. I'm looking forward to the next in the series, which is going to focus on Zach's best friend, Liam.

Thanks to @bookouture, @netgalley, and the author for this arc.

I unfortunately did not connect with this book. I was interested in the concept of a cozy fall romance, but found the story unable to hold my interest. Also I am not a fan of the miscommunication trope.

From what I did read I did find the cozy fall vibes to be enjoyable so I would recommend this to readers that enjoy fall romances and do not mind the miscommunication trope!

This book gave me all the cozy fall feelings I didn’t know I needed. Everything felt warm and soft, from the small town vibes to the slow romance. Madison and Zach had great chemistry, and I really enjoyed how they found their way back to each other. The atmosphere was amazing, like I could almost smell cinnamon, apples, and leaves while reading. The town was full of charm and lovely side characters, and I truly wanted to be part of their little world. The romance had just enough tension and sweetness, and even with some miscommunication moments, the story felt honest and heartfelt. It was the kind of book that made me smile the whole time. Thank you so much to the author and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving an honest review.

If small town, cozy, seasonal contemporary romances are your cup of tea, then this is definitely for you!

Our main character Madison Kelly is a New York food critic, who is summoned back to her hometown of Maple Falls by an anonymous letter asking her to go back and help her father with their failing family inn. Madison hasn't been home in 3 years following the passing of her mother, but runs home regardless to help her dad. Going home doesn't just mean facing memories of her mother, it also means facing her meddling neighbours, childhood friends and her ex- Zach Whitaker- who is the town contractor.

What ensues is a cozy, highly atmospheric, second chance romance fuelled by forced proximity, well intentioned neighbours and the ever present yearning and nostalgia that our main characters feel for one another.

One aspect of the book which I didn't enjoy was the use of the miscommunication trope, as this is one of my least favourite plot devices used in romance novels. Fortunately, Madison is a straight shooter and these moments don't last long and we end on a HEA. Fair warning, there are some open door 'spice' scenes, if that is not your preference

As a debut author, Harper Graham was able to successfully put together this contemporary romance in a really descriptive and immersive manner, with lovable characters and the best food descriptions I've read in a long time. I can't wait to immerse myself further into the Maple Falls world!

For fans of BK Borison's 'Lovelight Farms' and Laurie Gilmore's 'Dream Harbour' series, get ready to read your next favourite book!

This book was a super cute, super cozy hallmark eswur fall romance. My favorite part is the book was the setting! I just wanted to curl up with a hot tea and read. I also love second chance romance so this really worked for me. Plus this cover is gorgeous! An easy to read palette cleanser that feels cozy and sweet and doesn’t require too much brain power (this is a good thing).

The autumn vibes were the best part, I loved the writing and the descriptions. Autumn is my favourite season and this small town, with all its activities and decorations, was so cozy and inviting.
But the couple and the relationship were a huge letdown..

Madison receives a anonymous letter that her family inn is in trouble and that her family needs her, so she goes back to her hometown. Something she's been avoiding for years, because she didn't want to run into her ex, Zach, but now they're forced to spend time together. He's living in a cabin next to the inn, while he's helping renovate it. Madison is there temporarily, but their connection never died, sparks are flying every time they're together.. But are they willing to give themselves a second chance, she's leaving again, after all.. Would it be any different this time?

I genuinely liked the secondary characters and I'm looking forward to Liam's book.. I'm definitely reading it, because the vibes and writing style weren't the problem here, the direction of the romance story was, so I'm hoping his book is going to be a lot better! Don't let my rating dissuade you from reading it, you might love it, it just wasn't for me..

This being tagged as enemies to lovers should be a crime, she was fantasizing about him in chapter three and she just didn't stop. The number of times she thought about him and his hands was far too much.. In general, the amount of time they spent fantasizing about each other was overwhelming. It started to get on my nerves.. In what universe is this considered enemies to lovers. I couldn't fully enjoy all the autumn vibes, because I was so annoyed..

The miscommunication was so stupid, you're telling me they broke up and haven't seen each other for years because of something that took them literally a minute to clear up. Seriously, what are we doing?? And you would think this would make them realize that they need to communicate better, right? Yeah, you would think wrong.. It happened again and again.. The last time it happened, she came to talk to him and left WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING.. Communication is clearly a foreign word to them.. And then it got resolved, just like that.. Like nothing happened.. Frustrated isn't a big enough word to describe how I was feeling..

I didn't like Madison at all, I'm sorry, I tried, but I hated the way she was behaving. I was far too much annoyed at her to ever truly like her. I liked Zach, he was sweet and he deserved better, even do he clearly didn't know how to communicate either. I was honestly rooting for them to brake up for good. Seems healthier for me, then them staying together... But, that's just my opinion..

Overall, while it wasn't for me, I would still recommend it if you looking for something cozy and autumnal and you don't mind the miscommunication..

I’ll give it like 3.5 stars. So, my initial take on this was grumbling about the fact that all the tension just clears up at the drop of a hat and there’s like ten emotional or mysterious things that are just over with the second they get brought up…and also their communication skills are absolute garbage and no wonder they’re a hot mess. Plus there are a couple minor continuity things that ruffled my feathers. On top of that…Madison might kind of be the worst. The culmination of the tension in their relationship…I was cheering Zach on while he yelled.
But okay…I’ll admit…it’s pretty cozy. And there are definitely sweet moments and it’s all very cinnamony and fall. I wanted to eat my body weight in cinnamon buns by the end of it. If you’re a fan of Hallmark holiday movies…this is definitely your cozy fall read. It didn’t occur to me until about three quarters of the way through the book that THAT’S what I was reading. It’s a fluffy cozy fall romance with just enough drama and spice to make it a quick light read but not enough to make you actually sad. I get it now. The town is super cute and the side characters are all pretty charming. Especially Kit. So I’m definitely going to follow the series. I’ll just try to be less critical of the tension and character building for a series that’s clearly intended to be lighthearted.
Thank you to NetGally and Bookouture for the advanced copy of this title!

Rekindled romance- check
small town- check
Likeable characters- check
Cozy feel good autumn vibes- check
abit of spice 🌶️😘 - check

Now I absolutely love love love a cozy autumn read in summer, I thrive for it. The majority of times I find them quite average, but this one just had that extra something. For once it wasn’t a love at first sight but I rekindled romance. The chemistry between the two main characters was so well written. And the author did an amazing job at setting the scene, I honestly felt like I could close my eyes and imagine im right there in that inn eating cinnamon buns.

I hope there will be more to come in this series because I honestly can’t wait!

Thank you so much to netgalley and bookouture for approving me for this read.

Will post my review on my tiktok nearer the publication date 🧡

This was such a fun and cosy read. Harper Graham's writing style drags you into a very warm, welcoming world that you don't want to let go of. That's exactly why it's hard to put The Cinnamon Spice Inn down. It has everything a seasonal read needs to be: it has romance (and if you know anything about me, you should know I LOVE me a second chance romance), a bit of mystery and a lot of cosiness. Who doesn't want to cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate, some cookies and this book. The side characters are also super fun and you actually get to know them a bit which definitely sparked my interest to read the next book in this series!
