The Cinnamon Spiced Inn delivers exactly what it promises—a cozy, small-town romance wrapped in an autumnal atmosphere. The setting is charming, and the story has a gentle, easy-to-read quality that would pair perfectly with a blanket and hot chocolate by the fire.
That said, I found the plot stayed fairly surface-level, and I struggled to connect deeply with the characters. The persistent lack of communication between the leads was more frustrating than endearing, which made it harder to root for their relationship.
Overall, it’s a sweet, seasonal read for when you want something light and comforting, but it might not leave a lasting impression.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Cinnamon Spice Inn – My ARC Review
From the very first page, The Cinnamon Spice Inn felt like stepping into the coziest corner of autumn. You can almost hear the crunch of leaves underfoot, smell the cinnamon in the air, and taste the warm, honeyed lattes that seem to follow the characters around.
Madison and Zach… oh, where do I even start? They’re the perfect recipe for an enemies-to-lovers romance—equal parts banter, tension, and that spark you know is going to catch fire sooner or later. Watching them work together to bring the old inn back to life was like watching two stubborn chefs share a kitchen—messy, frustrating, but oh-so satisfying once they find their rhythm.
And yes—it’s absolutely slow burn. The kind of romance where a single glance across the room makes you grin like an idiot. The kind where your heart starts beating faster because you know that this moment is leading somewhere, even if they’re both pretending it’s not.
The setting itself is another character—Maple Falls wraps around you like a knitted blanket. Between the laughter, the inn’s history, and the warmth of the small-town community, this book gives you that feeling of coming home, even if you’ve never been there before.
By the end, I wasn’t just rooting for Madison and Zach—I wanted to book a stay at the Cinnamon Spice Inn, curl up in front of the fire, and never leave.
If you love autumn, slow burn, spicy chemistry, and small-town charm, The Cinnamon Spice Inn is exactly the escape you need.

It may still be summer, but I am 100% not above blasting the AC, curling up in a blanket, and pretending it’s peak October, especially for a book like The Cinnamon Spice Inn.
This was such a cozy delight. Totally lives up to the Gilmore Girls and Dream Harbor comparisons, and Harper Graham’s descriptive writing had me aching for fall. I could practically smell the cinnamon, hear the crunchy leaves, and imagine bopping around my favorite local apple festival while reading. Absolute autumn vibes, but with a love story that actually delivers (plus…some spiceeee).
Madison and Zach’s enemies-to-lovers, second-chance romance is equal parts banter, tension, and “COME ON YOU TWO" moments. The small-town setting? Adorable. The Halloween opening? Festive perfection. The chemistry? Off the charts.
Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC. I'm already looking forward to future stories from Maple Falls!

This is the kind of story that feels like coming home- wrapped in the scent of autumn air and the comfort of familiar faces. The small town setting brims with charm, layered with moments of nostalgia, longing, and hope. If you’ve ever dreamed of a second chance- at love, at family, at life- you’ll be swept away. Perfect for fans of Gilmore Girls and heartwarming romance that lingers long after the last page. Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for gifting me the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn is the kind of book you want to curl up with on a crisp autumn afternoon—wrapped in a blanket, mug of something warm in hand, and absolutely no plans to move until the last page is turned.
From the very first chapter, Harper Graham pulls you into the charming, cinnamon-scented world of the inn, where small-town magic meets second chances. The setting is vividly atmospheric—think golden leaves, cozy fireplaces, and the irresistible smell of baked goods floating through the air. I swear I could taste the cinnamon rolls.
The romance? Sweet and slow-burning, with just the right amount of spark. I fell hard for the innkeeper and couldn’t get enough of the tension, the banter, and the way their pasts gently unfolded into something tender and real. There’s something so comforting about a love story that feels like coming home.
Graham’s writing is warm and heartfelt, with side characters that truly add depth to the story without stealing the spotlight. It’s a story about healing, belonging, and finding joy in unexpected places—and it left me with the happiest, coziest kind of book hangover.
If you’re a fan of Hallmark vibes, cinnamon-sweet romances, or books that make your heart feel full, don’t sleep on this one. Harper Graham has officially earned a spot on my cozy romance must-read list!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book. I was looking for a light-hearted, easy read, and this story delivered exactly that. I loved the scene building—Maple Falls truly came to life through the author’s descriptions, and I could picture the town vividly in my mind. The descriptions of the food were another highlight for me; they were so tempting that I wish the author had included some recipes at the back of the book.
I was intrigued by the mysterious letters and had hoped this element would be explored more fully. Unfortunately, the mystery never really developed, which I found disappointing. I also struggled to connect with the main characters. Their conversations felt stilted, their decisions often didn’t make sense, and at times their behaviour came across as childish and immature.
That said, if you’re looking for a light-hearted holiday read, this book would be a perfect choice.

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
The Cinnamon Spice Inn is everything you're looking for in a cozy, fall romance. When Madison receives a letter that her family's Midwestern inn is in trouble and in danger of closing, she leaves her home in NYC to help her father. She had left years ago to pursue her dream of living in the big city, and ended up leaving behind the love of her life, Zach.
This is a second chance romance filled with Hallmark-esque vibes, with just a dash of spice. The miscommunication trope is leaned on heavily here, and it is used more than once as Zach and Madison dance around each other for most of the book. The whole town is rooting for them to make it, and to see The Cinnamon Spice Inn return to its former glory. If you enjoy a warm, small town setting during the fall months filled with romantic tension, then definitely give this one a read.

I love everything fall!!!
This was such a cute, small town romance read! There’s everything from banter, spice, a handyman MMC, and pumpkins. I recommend giving this a read if you’d like a cute fall book! I’m excited for the series to continue.

Madison receives a mysterious note urging her to go back home to Maple falls and help her widowed father who is struggling with the family Inn.
Zach is the Maple falls resident handy man who is called upon to help repair the Inns roof after a storm sends a tree crashing through it.
Bit the pair have a bigger issue, as they are childhood sweethearts who’s relationship ended 6 years previously after Madisons career took her to New York and a lack of communication.
Can the former lovers put things to one side and help breath life back into to the Inn? And is a second chance at romance on the cards.
This was a great opening book to the Maple Falls series, if you love the Dream harbour series then you will enjoy this one as well.

This book was everything I want in a cozy fall romance! Small-town charm? ✔️
Friends-to-lovers trope? ✔️
A sassy, spunky Gran I absolutely adored? ✔️✔️✔️
The autumn vibes were strong, the romance was sweet with the perfect touch of heat, and the setting made me want to book a stay at a cozy lakeside inn immediately. If you’re craving a warm, feel-good love story with cinnamon-scented charm, The Cinnamon Spice Inn is it!
🍂💛 Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something heartwarming and lightly spicy this season!

Imagine…
🍁 Golden leaves swirling in the breeze
🏡 A small-town inn dressed head-to-toe in autumn décor
☕ The smell of cinnamon, coffee, and apple pie in the air
📚 Cozy nights by the fire while romance sparks next door
That’s the vibe this book nailed.
The descriptions were so rich I could practically hear the crunch of leaves and taste the pumpkin bread. Autumn is my favorite season, and this setting had me ready to pack a bag and move in.
…And then the romance happened. 😅
For something tagged “enemies to lovers,” it felt more like “I’ve missed you since page two.” Madison is already daydreaming about Zach by chapter three, and honestly, I lost count of how many times she thought about his hands. The miscommunication was next-level frustrating — they literally spent years apart over something that took one minute to clear up… and then kept repeating the same mistake.
Madison? Not my favorite.
Zach? Sweet, but also not big on, you know, talking.
Me? Low-key rooting for them to stay single.
If you want flawless fall vibes and can ignore romance red flags, you’ll probably adore this. But if you need believable relationship tension, maybe enjoy this one for the scenery alone.
⭐ 3 stars for me — 5 stars for the atmosphere 🍂

The second I saw Gilmore Girls in the blurb, I was in. That show has had my little black heart in a chokehold for years, and this book delivered all the cozy-but-chaotic small-town vibes I was hoping for.
A mysterious letter drags her back from NYC to save the inn she grew up in… and who’s there swinging a hammer? Her broody ex she hasn’t spoken to in six years. The pining. The tension. The infuriating lack of communication. I felt it all.
Set during a fall festival, The Cinnamon Spice Inn is basically Gilmore Girls meets a cozy mystery with a slow-burn, second-chance romance that brings the spice, the heart, and the small-town drama.
If you’re into save-the-inn stories, broody exes, mysterious letters, and all the autumn magic, this one’s a winner.
Huge thanks to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for my ARC.

Such a cozy book! I loved that it was set in a small town, it was such a good read. The FMC and MMC are the cutest and I love the mystery around how she ended back in her home town 🤍 Thank you Netgally for the ARC!

The Cinnamon Spice Inn had everything I love: cozy small-town charm, pumpkins on porches, crisp autumn air, and a family inn at the heart of the story. The fall vibes were chef’s kiss and had me ready to dig out my sweaters and sip cider. I especially loved that the cows were named Pumpkin and Spice. The side characters, especially Liam and Kit, had potential, and I honestly would not mind reading a spin-off about them.
Unfortunately, the romance was a big miss for me. This was billed as “enemies to lovers” but by chapter three she was already fantasizing about him and it never stopped. The constant pining made the “enemies” part feel nonexistent. The miscommunication was exhausting. The reason they broke up years ago could have been cleared up in under a minute, but instead it became the foundation of their entire conflict. They would reunite, avoid saying what needed to be said, then storm off, only for it to magically resolve like nothing happened. This repeated again and again. It made it hard to root for them, and honestly, I was quietly hoping they would just break up for good.
The writing leaned heavily on telling rather than showing, with long descriptions that did not add much and too many inner monologues. On top of that, the author often ended chapters with questions, which pulled me out of the story instead of keeping me hooked. Madison’s behavior made her hard to like, Zach forgave too easily, and their relationship never felt like it had a solid emotional foundation. It relied mostly on physical attraction and nostalgia.
While this one was not for me, I did enjoy the autumn setting and small-town details. If you are looking for something light, cozy, and full of fall atmosphere, and you do not mind a heavy dose of miscommunication, you might still enjoy it. I will be holding out hope that Liam’s story delivers the cozy romance I was looking for here.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC

This was the perfect hallmark book read! Put me right in the fall mood with its perfect descriptions! Seeing how Zack and Maddison fought for each other in the end and their love won was straight out of a movie! Would recommend for the perfect read to get into the fall spirit!

Thank you so much for this ARC!
This book served all the fall vibes and cozy feels. It was comforting like a mug of warm apple cider. This is a second chance, small-town romance story where the FMC returns to her hometown to help renovate her family's inn. She reunites with her former love. The story felt slightly hampered by a writing style that leaned heavily on telling rather than showing. It was a sweet, low-stakes romance but the miscommunication trope felt a bit overused. That made the FMC a bit frustrating and unlikable. But overall, this book was a quick and easy read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Thanks to @netgalley for the ARC
This was… cute. The literary equivalent of a Hallmark movie — predictable, sappy, but still enjoyable enough to keep me turning pages.
Mads is the classic small-town girl who moved to the big city, only to return home to help renovate her family’s inn. Zach is the boy-next-door and her first love, still hopelessly pining for her all these years later.
You can see exactly where the plot is headed from page one — and that’s fine if you’re in the mood for cozy, low-stakes romance. It was sweet, but not quite enough to pull me into the rest of the series.

This book was the perfect cozy, Hallmark feel, fall read. It’s got everything. A small town girl who’s moved to the big city but makes a visit after she receives an anonymous letter that her dad and their family owned inn need help. So a touch of lighthearted mystery as she tries to find out who sent her the letter. The story unfolds with warm nostalgia of her childhood home & friends. It’s also got childhood friends to lovers to enemies to lovers again when they rekindle their relationship. That said, there’s quite a bit of miscommunication plot which can be a hit or miss for some. But if you’re a fan of romance, fall vibes, cozy blankets, small towns, and pumpkin spice lattes, then this is the book for you!

Small town, Maple Falls, gave me all the cozy fall vibes. Like a picture perfect Hallmark movie that contains the cutest names for all the local shops, fall themed activities, nosy town folk, fresh cinnamon rolls, pumpkins and apple spice lattes. It’s a fluffy warm blanket by the fire but in a book.
A slow burn, second chance romance that completely and utterly infuriated me in the best way. Madison and Zack are soul mates ever since they were little but the lack of communication that separated them and kept them apart had me screaming. For two people who love each other more than anything else, you’d think they’d be able to talk to each other better. Ugh. I wanted to slap them 😂 but their steamy chemistry made up for the frustration.
This suspense part of the book was an added element and when you find out the source behind Madison coming home, ugh it shattered my poor heart. 😭
If you want a book to get you in the mood for cooler cozy days, falling leaves, pumpkin spice season with Gilmore Girls vibes, this one could be for you.
Thank you @netgalley and @indyvalentineauthor for the advanced copy read.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn had a cozy setting and some sweet moments that fans of small-town romances might enjoy. The writing itself is clear and easy to follow, and the premise had potential.
That said, I struggled to stay engaged. The story felt repetitive at times, and the lack of communication between the characters was frustrating. It leaned heavily into familiar tropes without offering anything new, which made it feel like I had read (or watched) this exact story before. I wanted more originality and emotional depth to really connect with the characters.
Overall, while there were a few comforting elements, it just didn’t work for me personally.
