Everything about it screams autumn—coffee (about six mugs a day), cinnamon, and nutmeg. For me, this book is basically the combination of a Hallmark movie, just set in a different season. And of course, it has miscommunication at its finest.
The idea is that the inn, in this little town already devoted to celebrating autumn, needs help. So here comes the daughter of the inn’s owners, straight from New York—trading high heels for loafers—only to discover a big old tree crashing through the roof on her very first day.
And who happens to be in town? Her first love, the only man who can make her heart race faster than the insane amount of coffee she drinks. And what happens? More miscommunication, of course.
Overall, it’s a cute book. The characters all revolve around small-town charm: nosy elders constantly poking into everyone’s business, a grandmother with a love life more exciting than her granddaughter’s, an adorable rescue dog and the classic: either I’m always happy in this small town or I loved the big city, but I found my way back because it just isn’t the same. And yes, even more miscommunication. If your cup of tea (or coffee with apple and vanilla) is something like Gilmore Girls meets Santa, this one is perfect for you

This book wasn’t really for me, unfortunately. It didn’t fully grab my attention and felt a bit slow in parts. The constant miscommunication was a little frustrating. That said, it’s perfect for anyone who loves a cozy, slow-burn, small-town romance with autumn vibes 🍂. Madison returns home to help her family’s inn and unexpectedly runs into her ex, Luke. Sweet, heartfelt, and full of charming town life and picturesque settings, it’s a great pick for fans of second-chance romance and warm fall reads!

I absolutely loved this book!!! It was the equivalent of curling up by the fire and watching a cute romcom (with some very good spice of course). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s favorite season is fall me cause this is just fall in a book! It made me want a cinnamon roll real bad! I will be anxiously awaiting the rest of this series!

I received this as an ARC through NetGalley.
This was the cutest, coziest, fall romance with a little bit of spice. Madison and Zach are my new favorite small town book couple. Don't read this unless you plan to light a candle, listen to the Spotify playlist, and snuggle up with a fuzzy blanket.
If you need help to get into a fall mood, this adorable story is sure to do it. Bring on all the cinnamon rolls, apples, pumpkins, fall drinks, and hayrides. I need all the fall themed animals too. Now, how do I find all the small town fall festivals?

Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture (and Audio) for the e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
The story started off well and had a lot of potential, but the ending felt rushed. Maddie came across as pretty immature, and honestly, I didn’t think she deserved Zach.
Miscommunication is one of my least favorite tropes, and this book leaned on it heavily. I just wanted to scream at the characters to grow up and actually talk to each other!
Overall, it had some sweet moments, but it didn’t fully work for me. I enjoyed getting to experience as an audiobook and on kindle.

Very digestible romance story. Madison comes from a small town where her parents owned a lovely inn that she grew up in. She's currently living in NYC, having left the small town after the death of her mom. A cryptic and mysterious letter encourages her to go home, where she finds the inn in a state of disrepair, and her father struggling to keep the inn functioning. So Madison pulls up her sleeves and gets to work. Unfortunately, part of this work includes Luke, her ex, who she can't seem to shake.
Altogether it was okay. I was more invested in the inn than in the romance, and thought the misunderstandings between Madison and Luke were rather immature and superficial. But I still enjoyed the town, the people within it, and the truly cozy inn. So very picturesque (in my head)! I'd like to visit such a place. Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced review copy! I recommend for anyone who wants a very simple and straightforward love story in a cute setting.

My thoughts:
You definitely get plenty of spice and heartwarming romance with reading The Cinnamon Spice Inn.

And, those Autumn/Fall vibes???? For sure will put you in the mood for cooler weather, pumpkin spice lattes and a comfy blanket. And, let’s not forget our favorite hoodie!
It was fun getting to know Madison and Zach. Past conflicts have them struggling to reconnect in a positive way.
The mystery of the letters was an intriguing aspect to the story.

Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was such a good spicy romance which i devoured in a couple of sittings. The author has created a wonderful town, with a great range of locations and cast of characters which grab you and don't let you go. This is one of the few second chance romances which i enjoy and this is saying something as this is not the trope that I normally go for however I am finding when this is done right then I love it. I can not wait for the next instalment in the Maple Falls series

The Cinnamon Spice Inn follows Madison a big city food writer who returns to her hometown in Maple Falls, after receiving an anonymous letter that her Dad is struggling to keep the families inn going. Once back she reunites with Zach, the hometown handyman and her old flame. They both soon realize that old flames never really die as they come together to restore the Inn. Madison feels real in her struggles with herself and what she wants, her journey to self discovery rings true, especially when facing old regrets. Zach is the perfect combination of charm and gentle patience that you just can't help but love. The pairs quirky banter keeps you turning the pages and has you laughing to yourself. But I also love how it shows the other side of relationships like miscommunication and misunderstanding which does make the story feel more relatable, however at times you're literally just yelling to the pages for them to just talk to eachother!! You definitely find yourself rooting for their reconciliation, once they get over their pride issues! I also liked how along with romance there is a sense of mystery as you're left wondering who sent Madison the letter throughout the story. I enjoyed how the book finished off, it didn't drag on and finished off the best kind of way. So, if you want a cute and sweet read with a little bit of mystery, then let Maple Falls envelope you in all the cozy, romantic and funny vibes this fall season!
Also, a big Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for letting me read this ARC in exchange for a honest review

Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me. I had high expectations of it because the cover looks amazing with the autumn vibes and the blurb did sound fantastic, but it fell a little flat in my opinion. I didn't really like the characters, and I had a hard time not just throwing my ereader across the room because all the problems in this book come from one small miscommunication between the MCs and I was annoyed to the max by this. This book has potential, but it just didn't live up to it for me.

ARC review
This book was exactly what was promised. Cozy, comforting, and everything fall. The overall book gave me Gilmore Girls meets spicy Hallmark with a dash of the Notebook vibes. The descriptions were incredible. I could practically taste and smell the food and atmosphere Madison and Zach were in at any given moment.
For two MCs with stubborn streaks, this story played out about how you would expect, which makes it a very lowstakes romance read, perfect as a palate cleanser or just a fun romp you know will end in an HEA. The only reason I'm not giving it more stars is because the miscommunication trope was so heavy throughout that I found myself wanting to skip sections just because these two dingleberries wouldn't sit and talk and listen to each other. That said, the resolution to the mystery portion was cute, and about halfway through, you, as the reader, can start piecing the puzzle together if you choose, and figure out who the letters are coming from.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read! So cozy, a little bit of mystery, and a ton of love! Graham delivers a perfect amount of romance with Madison and Zach in this small town, cozy story.
"Will they or won't they?!" was all I kept thinking about when our two MC's were interacting. I had to put my Kindle down at moments because I didn't know what was going to happen and I didn't know if I could bear it. There was a lot of SPICE in the Cinnamon Spice Inn (pun always intended). The perfect amount of spicy moments to keep our two ex(?)-lovebirds warm with that crisp chill in the air.
Highly recommend this to get into the fall spirit. Grab a warm drink, fluffy blanket, and hold on for a satisfying ride.

If you’re craving a slow-burn, cozy, second-chance romance that smells like fall and tastes like warm apple pie, this is a solid pick. It leans into sappiest autumn charm, community warmth, and sweet, nostalgic feelings. Just be ready for some “ugh, talk to each other!” moments! Sometimes it’s part of the charm, sometimes it’s a face-palm
All in all? I loved it for the vibes and the little heartbeat it gave my autumn mood 🍂

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
The Cinnamon Spice Inn was everything I could have hoped for in a cozy, small-town, second chance romance. From the very first chapter, I was swept into the charm of the town and the warmth of the story. It’s the kind of book that feels like wrapping yourself in a blanket with a cup of tea—comforting, heartfelt, and completely engrossing.
The romance was so sweet and genuine, perfectly balancing tender moments with the nostalgia of two people finding their way back to each other. I absolutely adored the characters—they felt real, relatable, and loveable, which made it impossible not to root for their happily ever after. The small-town setting was brought to life beautifully, adding an extra layer of coziness that made this the perfect seasonal read.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn by Harper Graham - 3.5/5 stars (ebook), 4/5 stars (audiobook)
This cozy small-town romance delivers exactly what it promises: Gilmore Girls vibes with plenty of autumn atmosphere and steamy scenes. The second-chance romance between the coffee-loving city girl and laid-back handyman explores what happens when former childhood sweethearts reunite after a breakup caused by miscommunication - with her return to fix her family's legacy inn providing the perfect forced proximity setup.
As my first contemporary romance, I wasn't sure what to expect, but Graham creates a charming small-town setting that feels warmly familiar. The fall vibes are perfectly captured, and there's definitely plenty of open-door spice for readers who enjoy that element.
However, the heavy reliance on miscommunication - both in their past breakup and current interactions - became frustrating for me. I found myself wanting more substance and more personality from Zach (besides being sexy).
Andi Eloise's narration in the audiobook was engaging and added an extra half-star to my rating. While this was a solid debut into the genre for me, I think I'll be seeking out romance with more complex plotting going forward. Perfect for cozy fall reading if you're already a contemporary romance fan.
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture Audio, and Bookouture for the eARC & ALC in exchange for an honest review.

i really tried liking this as i thought it was going to be similar to the pumpkin spice cafe series and it did not exceed expectations. im sorry to say i had to dnf this book. i didnt like that it was written in third person. it just wasnt for me.

Wow, this was definitely a 4 star read for me. I really loved the main characters Maddison en Zach but also the townspeople of Maple Falls. The descriptions of the town, places and food put me right in Maple Falls. I could almost smell the cinnamon rolls and taste the apple spread.
If you love cosy fall vibes, tropes like miscommunication, Second chance romance and childhood sweathearts and of course a bit of spice this is THE book to read.
It had me in chokehold at some moments or made me talk to the book, so YESSS to the plot twists. The last 25% procent of the book got me hooked and couldn't stop reading
Would definitely recommend this book to read under a blanket with some hot tea, cocoa, coffee or your favorite fall drink and dive right into this beautifully written story.

This book got me right into all the cozy fall feelings! We follow Madison who lives in NYC as a respected food critic. One day she gets a mysterious letter that her parent’s Inn in Maple Falls needs help. With all the intentions to save the Cinnamon Spice Inn she goes back to the small town she grew up in. Back in Maple Falls she runs into her first love who is fixing the roof of the Inn after a tree fell through.
“Madison Kelly wasn’t just any girl. She was the only one who had ever wrecked him-and the only one he hadn’t been able to forget.”
Being back in Maple Falls and having to work with your ex makes for some sizzling tension. Especially after a breakup based on miscommunication, where the both of them didn’t get closure.
“The way he looked at her now, like she was something he needed to be alive, like she was his life force, more vital than the blood pumping through his veins.”
The author has a way in describing the town and the characters, you get transported right to Maple Falls! This book made me want to get started right away with all the fall baking (currently making a batch of apple butter) and decorating! This book feels like a warm hug and is the perfect read to get you into cosy season!
The audiobook is really good as well, the narrator brought the story to life! Perfect to put on while you bake some cinnamon rolls or make your own batch of apple butter!
The one thing I disliked about this book was repeating the miscommunication trope in the third act breakup. I just wanted to shake the characters and tell them to TALK TO EACH OTHER!
What to expect:
- Dual POV
- Second chance romance
- Cozy small town vibes
- Sizzling tension
- A kitchen pantry spicy scene
TW: grief & loss of a parent
Will be posting this review on my IG @charmed.chapteredreads on the 26th of august!

Girl gets mysterious letter to head home to help out the family run inn after being away in the big city, only to come face to face with an ex who has stayed in the small town. The two has to find a way to fix up the inn and oh also figure out who has been sending out letters to the town's residents asking to give the inn and it's proprietor George a hand.
The story was cute and had promise, but the miscommunication trope continue to grate on me as they didn't learn from it at all, this trope continued to make its way throughout the book, on both sides. Also the timeline happened real quickly for repairs, and to relaunch the inn, but I will just chalk it up to book magic and not reality of construction times.
Read this for slow burn, miscommunication trope, small town vibes where everyone knows your business, second-chance romance and late twenties romance. I think people will be drawn to it for the autumn vibes, and stay for the slow burn small town second-chance vibes.

I loved this book, especially how it jumped straight into the story, it felt fast paced and had me captivated from chapter one. I fell in love with Zach so quickly, he's just the cutest grumpy contractor. If you like spicy there is plenty (start with a dream in chapter three) but not too graphic for anyone who doesn't enjoy that. The desire and build up is so well written. The "will they?" "won't they?" kept you guessing pretty much to the last page. 100% recommend.
