What's gayer than falling for your ex's ex?
Be it her adult romance, middle grade, or young adult novels, Ashley Herring Blake has become a must-read author for me since reading Delilah Green in 2022. Unfortunately, her new Clover Lake series continues to leave me wanting. After plodding through Dream On, Ramona Riley I hoped that Get Over It, April Evans would be a return to form, but there's something about these characters that has kept me at arm's length.

had high(er) hopes for this one after ramona riley didn’t quite hit the mark but WHERE is the emotional depth lately??? i just need *more* from our mc’s, particularly one who could not for the life of her open up and reflect either to us the reader or her love interest even by the end!!!! (although i did binge this in one sitting to see how it would all play out and the smut remains >>)
there is a certain character in this book someone really needs to kick with a steel toed boot because. what the fuck. this villainry was pissing me the fuck off and ruining everything for just about every aspect of this “romance.” i just wanna swoon. i just wanna believe these people’ll make it a day past the end of the last page…is this so difficult for ashley lately 😭 delilah green remains by favorite of hers
