This is a really solid mystery. The setting worked for me, I liked the characters, and the writing -- which was quiet -- was well done. I would defintley recomend this book and read more from this author! I dont want to say too much becasue I do not want to give anything away. Go in knowing less.

This book is quiet, raw, and deeply unsettling in the best way. It tackles mortality, legacy, and what it means to create something lasting when time is almost up. The writing is spare but powerful, every word chosen like it matters — and it does.

It’s one of those stories that sneaks up on you. At first, it feels simple. But then it hits you with questions you didn’t expect to be asking, and by the time you realize how heavy it’s gotten, it’s too late to look away.

If you're into reflective, character-driven fiction that leans dark without being showy, this is one to pick up. It’s not flashy, but it stays with you long after the last page.
