I usually enjoy Kristan Higgins, but this one didn’t land for me. The emotional tone felt a bit scattered, and I didn’t click with the characters enough to stick it out. Others might really enjoy the family dynamics and heart-tugging themes, but I bowed out early.
Grateful for the ARC from NetGalley and the publisher!

Did not have time to read this book - still on my TBR. Thank you for the opportunity and my apologies for not getting to it.

Longtime fan of Kristan Higgans and her wit. If You Only Knew seemed to me to be written by someone else completely. That is not to say that I didn't like it. On the contrary, I liked it very much, it was just a much deeper, much more emotional book than many of her past books. And really, as much as I enjoyed the Romance books, I am adoring her "women's fiction" even more. There are still moments of levity and romance, but the characters are painted with a broader literary brush, giving them depth that I find I connect with and really love.

I feel like women's fiction is not Kristan Higgins's forte and perhaps not the most successful direction for her writing to take at this point. This one felt tired and flat.

A great read by an author I have come to look for. If you enjoy good fiction, give her stories a whirl.

This book was fine for what is was- chic lit. Fluff. It kept my interest but the ending fell flat for me. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and for some things to get resolved and they did, but not the way I wanted them to. Also, there were way too many, drawn out fantasies for my liking.
