Felt mismarketed, but helpful for parents
I went into this book expecting it to focus on how smartphones and constant screen time affect adults, and how we can break our own habits. Instead, a large part of it is actually about parenting and managing kids’ screen use. That’s not something I was looking for, and it felt mismarketed based on the title and description.
Since I don’t have kids, I wasn’t the target audience, and a lot of the content didn’t apply to me. That said, I think parents could get a lot of value from it. There are good insights into how screens and social media affect children, and some practical suggestions for guiding them.
It’s a short, easy read with some solid takeaways—just not what I expected. If you’re a parent, it’s worth checking out. If you’re not, you might want to skip it.
