First, I would like to say as a therapist and a mom I appreciate being able to review/read this book. The book is very informative and as a person who has anxiety myself it's helpful to have the facts related to the why behind how you feel. I like that depending on what motion you want to learn about, it tells you where to go in the book. I feel the book was a little too complex for a child to read but it is still helpful for us educators so we can break it down to children/teens. The pictures were helpful. lots of good information and you can learn a lot from this book. It would be a good one to add to your list!

Very cute, informative and easy to understand. Young readers will learn so much about their bodies AND in an appropriate way

I like the way this book lets the reader jump from page to page based on their interest. It is informative with science and historical facts included. Very cute pictures too.

This book is a valuable resource for helping older children explore the connection between the mind and body, and how our physical responses relate to our feelings. It serves as a strong first step in developing emotional intelligence, encouraging young readers to reflect on what their bodies might be telling them. I especially appreciated the inclusion of a glossary, which supports comprehension and vocabulary building. However, I found the extra notes and fun facts a bit distracting at times—they occasionally pulled focus away from the core message. Still, the book offers a meaningful foundation for conversations about self-awareness and emotional well-being.

A very well structured and written book on A- Z of emotions presented in a simple, easy to understand fashion/language. Is the brain alone the centre of all our emotions, there are billions of nerves there that carry messages from other parts of the body to the brain and vice versa, What about the nerves in the heart, the gut which is why we talk so often about gut feeling. What about hormones that influence and supplement our thoughts, cortisol which shows we are stressed out, adrenaline which prepares us for emergencies and dopamine that tells us we are happy, the happy and hungry messaging centre hypothalamus, there is so much in our body that processes emotions and produces our own emotions and all this is discussed in a such an accessible manner in this little book.
There are great illustrations too alongside. A great informative book that doesn't feel academic, even though it does impart quite a lot of information.

Wow! What a fantastic resource for all ages. As a 3rd grade teacher, I am always looking for top notch, high interest texts and this delivers! I can't wait to buy this for my classroom and use it to teach social emotional skills within my text features unit!
