Included in this collection are 5 Scaredy Squirrel Titles, each one wonderful for story time and so cleever and funny! They all follow the same format of scaredy squirrel being afraid of various things/creatures and devising a plan to ensure his safety. Things inevitably go awry and he is left to use his favorite defense of playing dead. Leesons are learned and friends are made along the way. Kids will love this collection!

My daughters absolutely loved this Scaredy Squirrel collection! They were laughing out loud through so many parts — and I loved seeing how engaged they were. Each story is funny, quirky, and still manages to carry a sweet message about bravery, adaptability, and stepping outside your comfort zone.

This collection kept them entertained the whole way through and even sparked lots of questions and conversations — which is always a win for me as a parent. A fantastic choice for storytime, and such a fun introduction to Scaredy Squirrel for kids who haven’t met him yet!

Mum review: We love scaredy squirrel. His antics are perfect for my anxious daughter. She is constantly laughing out loud while she reads these and wanting to show me all the funny jokes. The illustrations are great. The only problem is that she reads them so quickly we need more! It was great to have all the stories in the one book - we had already read several of them, but it was good to have more SS!

Delightful. Funny text and illustrations. This book would make a car ride so much fun for a reader. I liked the how to draw part at the end of the book.

Scaredy Squirrel has been one of my favorite series for a long time, so it's great to see he has his own book collection now! Always silly and a little over the top, Scaredy Squirrel always finds a way to conquer his fears through all his adventures.

This may be my favorite ARC of all time! Thank you NetGalley for Melanie Watt’s awesome collection of Scaredy Squirrel stories, aptly titled Nuts About Scaredy Squirrel. To say that Scaredy is my spirit animal is an understatement. I love every anxiety-ridden list that he makes, I love how Scaredy decides who would and wouldn’t make a good friend.… based on who would or wouldn’t bite him, of course! I especially love how Scaredy is VERY prepared for every situation and is usually pleasantly surprised by how smoothly things go. Again…. the story of my life!!

There is nothing not to love about Nuts About Scaredy Squirrel. The illustrations are delightful, the stories are hilarious and relatable, and Scaredy is the most lovable character ever. I read Scaredy Squirrel books to my classes during SEL read aloud time, and my students are always enthralled. We discuss strategies for overcoming anxiety and I emphasize that EVERYONE feels nervous or worried sometimes. Every story in this collection promotes this important message in a unique, lighthearted and creative way. I can’t wait to add this to my classroom library as soon as it is released!
