So much emotional turmoil! I really enjoyed the multiple story lines crossing over each other. It gave so much depth for the story line. The narrator did a phenomenal job! I rarely get emotional when reading but the she was able to break me down and also bring me back up!

The audiobook of "The Curse of Gods" by Kate Dramis is an absolute triumph. From the very beginning, you are pulled into a rich, immersive world filled with intriguing characters and a plot that is as unpredictable as it is thrilling. The story is a masterclass in fantasy world-building, weaving together magic, ancient legends, and a compelling romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

What makes this a truly standout audiobook is the narration. The performance is dynamic and captivating, bringing each character to life with distinct voices and emotional depth. The narrator expertly handles the book's high-stakes moments and quieter, more tender scenes, making you feel every twist and turn of the story.

This is more than just a book; it's an experience. If you're looking for a fantasy with a phenomenal plot and a narration that enhances every moment, this is a must-listen. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series!

A spectacular and hard-fought ending to a beloved series. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My only gripe is that we should have been able to see more of Adion and his love interest. I got to know them for about half a book, and I want more, please. I would not be opposed to an Adion spin-off. But I also feel like the series wrapped up so nicely that I wouldn't dare touch it.

Josie was so amazing in this book! I love her and her arc so much. I do still think she deserved to give a few more hits in, but she is a bigger person than I am.

I love that Will never lost hope in Aya. He knew who she was and didn't let doubt make him a fool. I love them together so much. The fact that our big bad used him to break Aya, breaks my heart. Will and Aya, however, did not let me down. They communicated (they communicated!) and were able to move forward.

I can't wait to add this series to my re-read rotation.

“Has she been sent to save the realm or destroy it?”

AHHH. I just finished the conclusion to the Curse of Saints series and I absolutely loved it. While I won’t give much of a synopsis in fear of spoilers, I will say that the third book was just as incredible as the first two books. This book picked up shortly after the ending of the second book and we jumped right in with action and suspense. I absolutely love this series and think it is HIGHLY UNDERRATED! I cannot wait for Kate to release more fantasy books.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to this early release audiobook!

The 3rd and final installment of The Curse of Saints series follows the aftermath of the battle, where Eve has emerged from the veil and Aya has been the unfortunate one to do so. On the other side, Will searches for her, as no one has seen her since the battle. But the rumors about the second saint turning dark have left everyone in a conflicted haze.

Filled with tough choices and the constant yearning to see Will and Aya together, the book shines in its world-building, whether it’s the magic of the First Saint or the armies with deadly powers. My only qualm was with the ending, which left me somewhat unsatisfied. After going through such intense battles, I was expecting a jaw-dropping climax that would take me aback, and while the momentum seemed to build towards it, it ultimately didn’t deliver.

That said, I swear I would have gone crazy if another sequel was announced (in the best way possible). Books 1 and 2 both ended with cliffhangers, and I’ve waited years to finally know how it all ends. Now, my soul is at peace.

Solid finale to the trilogy. I loved the multiple POVs, which finally gave me a deeper connection to many of the characters. The found family was really great I just wish it had been developed earlier.
This isn’t a particularly spicy series but the relationship between Will and Aya felt its strongest in this book. I haven’t been fully sold on how they came together in the earlier books. Their romance lacked that build up of secret longing or tension. So it made the relationship feel a bit sudden. The author did include some secret lusting in this book however I would’ve loved to have read about it in book one.
The first half had some reminders of the final Throne of Glass book but the second half delivered constant, high stakes action that kept me interested. Overall a much stronger installment that gave the series a satisfying wrap up.

An epic finale to a great trilogy.
The plot isn't forgotten but it isn't the main thing that makes this series as good as it is.
This series is character driven and addictive. The attachment I have to every single character in this series is so strong, and that is all because of the talented author.

Curse of Gods was such an intense and addictive fantasy read that kept me hooked from start to finish. Kate Dramis builds a world full of tension, danger, and just the right amount of banter to balance out the darker themes. What really stood out for me was the depth of the characters—each one feels layered and flawed in a way that makes them incredibly real. There’s an energy in the storytelling that makes you want to keep flipping pages, needing to know how the betrayals, politics, and magic are all going to collide.

The romance and relationships woven through the plot gave me everything I was hoping for—slow burns, sharp edges, and those heart-clutching moments that sneak up on you when the stakes are highest. It’s the kind of story that grabs you emotionally while still delivering all the action and twists you’d expect in a high-stakes fantasy. Honestly, Curse of Gods isn’t just about surviving curses and battles—it’s about what people are willing to risk for loyalty, love, and freedom, and it’s a ride I can’t wait to continue.

ੈ✩‧₊˚ my thoughts

This series just kept getting better with each release.

“War has descended. The enemy's power grows. And the lost, the hopeless, cannot help but wonder…<i>where is the Second Saint now?

Torn between duty and empathy, light and dark, love and loss, Aya must find a way to free herself and finally decide her true path. Can she fulfill the prophecy and save the realm? Or should the gods pay for what they've done?”

I can’t believe this series is over. I’m going to miss this world, these characters, and WillAya so much. The Curse of Gods was such a perfect ending to this wonderful (and very underrated) series. The stakes were high, losses were lead, and I truly couldn’t put it down.

The found family aspect of this series is absolutely precious and in this final installment, the characters were put through their paces, but also well-honored in the finale of the trilogy. I generally am quite picky with my found family loves because I don’t always connect with all the side characters, but Kate Dramis really made me love everyone and the focus was quite well-divided between Will & Aya and all the side characters.

The series had really expanded in complexity in book 2 and I was kind of nervous to find out how Dramis would bring everything to a close and if some plot lines would be left open. I think Dramis did a wonderful job bringing everything together in the end.

Also, could we please pressure Fairyloot to release the final book in this series? I need to have a matching set for my shelves 😩

In particular, regarding the ALC, I thought it was very well produced and easy to listen to. I liked the continuity in the narrator throughout all 3 books. As a whole, I wish the audiobooks had gotten an extra narrator since there were so many POVs, I think it would have worked well.

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for a copy to review!

A satisfying end to the trilogy! Kate Dramis managed to wrap-up all plot lines AND add a bit of character development even at the end.

The Curse of the Gods is a fitting conclusion to The Curse of Saints series. There were a lot of plot lines that needed to be addressed and Dramis handled them very well. With all the different threads to be tied up and characters scattered, it made sense that this book was told from multiple POVs. I particularly enjoyed Will and Aya’s POVs and watching their relationship grow and develop. The other piece of this book that I really loved was the found family aspect. It’s one of my favorite tropes and Dramis used it so well. The side characters didn’t feel like side characters with the strong bonds that were formed between them all. I also thought the plot pacing was fitting for the story. The plot itself was engaging with plenty of action and political intrigue. There were definitely twists I didn’t see coming and moments that were devastating. I read this via audiobook and enjoyed the narration. I felt that Sorvari did well with distinguishing between the different characters and POVs by giving each a distinctive sound. Sorvari also made sure to bring the emotion, so you could really feel what each character was feeling. I do wish there had been multiple narrators, though, to make it a tad easier to tell the POVs apart. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and series.

This book was very very fun!!! I liked the plot line and it reminded me of throne of glass (which I love) it wasn't too unbearably spicy which was great for me!! I loved the characters and I think this was a great way to end off the trilogy even though I wish there was more!

I was slightly worried that I would not remember where things left off, given that I read The Curse of Sins around 16 months ago, but I was able to quickly reacclimate to the plot and characters. There are multiple POVs, but they are easy to keep separated because of how the characters are written, but also because many characters are physically separated in the story. Things pick up essentially where Sins ended and we see how everyone deals with Aya's choice. I appreciate that the characters in this story are not always perfect because that gets old and is not realistic. Sometimes people, especially people in powerful positions, make mistakes. Things are resolved in a satisfying way, but not without going through some strife beforehand.

The audio is one narrator, which generally isn't my favorite, but she differentiates the characters well. I was also able to speed it up to at least 2x while still being able to understand and enjoy.

Thanks to Dreamscape Audio for an ALC of this audiobook for an honest review.

I loved this series, struggles at the beginning of The curse of Gods. I struggled with connecting with Aya after she freed Evie and everything went to hell in hand a hand basket as well as losing her best friend, believing her bonded was dead and almost seeming hopeless after her people believed she was the dark saint. I loved the multiple points of views and how they all came together in the end to really round out and complete the story from multiple angles. Reminds me a lot of reading Kingdom of Ash by Sara J. Mass. Truly loved the whole series and would recommend especially if you like the throne of glass series.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for letting me listen to the advance audio for this book.

This was a great installment of an already great series. I loved the way the story flowed, but I can't say a whole lot more without giving away spoilers. People will NOT be disappointed.

Sheesh, what an epic, tense conclusion to the trilogy! There were no dull moments; I was hooked the entire time. This blew the first and second book out of the water!
The character development was so intricate and well executed. The relationships had so much depth- the tension, pining and yearning for HUNDREDS of pages, Kate made us work for it!
I wish there were more books but the conclusion was satisfying.
