I made a small mistake in not reading the blurb on this one before requesting. I didn’t realize it was the 3rd book in a series. THAT DID NOT STOP ME. Halfway into the book I also got approved for the audio for this and it was fire. The narrator did a great job painting pictures of what was going on. I loved this book. There was a lot of background story needed to really immerse in this plot, but SO MUCH PLOT is in this book. Thank you NetGalley, Sourcebooks and Kate Dramis for this story. I will be going back to read books 1 & 2. Even though I missed out on some of the prior story, I was really immersed in this world. My favorite part was the cottage at the end ❤️. There’s a lot emotional loss in this one. Come prepared.

This series needs to get more hype because I absolutely devoured it! There were so many ups and downs, so many emotions, and I was absolutely here for it! I felt like I was watching a movie. This was a book of survival, there was grief, and there was growing relationships. I was here for all of it. It is sometimes hard to give a review of a third book in a series because you don't want to spoil anything from the first two books. This series will absolutely stay with me for a long time!

Kate Dramis really knows how to build a world. As the third book in this series, the intricate fantasy setting she's created honestly rivals some of the biggest names in the genre. The way she handles multiple POVs while building tension and weaving in that sweet, yearning romance? *Chef's kiss* everything comes together so satisfyingly.
I'll be real though, the narrator was pretty monotone throughout, which made it harder for me to get fully pulled into the story at times. It's one of those situations where the narration doesn't quite do justice to what's clearly excellent writing underneath.
But here's the thing: despite the audio issues, I'm still completely sold on this series. Dramis has created something special here, and if you're into detailed fantasy worlds with great character development, you absolutely need to give this series a shot. The storytelling is strong enough to carry you through, even with less-than-stellar narration.

Curse of Gods is a fierce, fast-paced fantasy dripping with divine secrets, forbidden power, and enemies-to-lovers tension so intense it might just scorch the pages. Kate Dramis delivers a story that blends political rebellion with mythic stakes and a heroine who refuses to bow to fate—or gods.

I had to read the first two books before this one, and I found it a bit drawn out and took some time to get into. Overall this series as a whole is a great balance of politics, romance, and fantasy.
Aya and Will’s separation for half the book hurt my heart. I love them and I need their happily ever after. Aidon is given a love interest, but their relationship feels underdeveloped there’s more emphasis on Josie’s relationships. While we love Josie, I can’t help but wish we could focus more on my guy, Aidon.
Parts of the hook had me on the edge of my seat, in a chokehold, too much anticipation. I was here for it!!! Aya is one of my most favorite characters I’ve read in a long time. She goes through immense trauma and turmoil but manages to overcome it. She never gives up and remains incredibly strong and resilient. Overall, it’s a beautiful conclusion to the series and a new favorite author. I definitely recommend this for people who are a fan of TOG.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the opportunity to listen to this ALC of The Curse of Gods by Kate Dramis!
Listening to the audiobook took a little adjustment at first, as the narrator’s pacing felt a bit slow and slightly monotone. I found that increasing the playback speed helped make the delivery feel more engaging. After a few chapters, I grew accustomed to the narration style and was able to enjoy it much more. While it took a moment to settle into, this didn’t take away from how incredible and powerful the story itself was.
What a phenomenal and heart-wrenching conclusion to an epic trilogy. After the intense ending of The Curse of Sins, I didn’t know what to expect…but this final book exceeded every hope I had. I was especially anxious about Aya, captured by Evie, and nothing could have prepared me for the trials she’d face. Her journey was harrowing, emotional, and deeply powerful.
Kate Dramis masterfully ties together the storylines of Aya, Will, Aidon, Josie, and the rest of the beloved cast. The twists, Evie revealed as a demigod, and Will’s shocking divine lineage through his mother, Lorna left me stunned. The emotional weight of this book hit hard: from Will and Aya’s long-awaited reunion, to Aya reconnecting with her father, only to lose him with his final words expressing his love for her… I was in tears. Josie’s loss of Cole was another heartbreaking blow I didn’t see coming.
Despite the sorrow, the ending brought a beautiful sense of closure. After everything they’ve endured, each character finally finds peace. “Rest with me..” This series has left a permanent mark on my heart and will forever be a favorite.

The Curse of Gods delivers the twisty, turning, dramatic ending that the series deserved. There is a good balance or romance (and not just for Will and Aya) with battle and fighting for their world. There is a solid build up to the final ending and the story is told from different perspectives as they converge on the epic point in the plot, tension builds. The writer sets everything up well to reward readers with a satisfying conclusion. Not that there weren't losses, and there is some sadness in the ending, but overall the way that the story wraps up should appeal to most fans.
I read this book as an audiobook, and the format really worked well. The narrator, Devon Sorvari, who narrated the prior two books, continued with an excellent performance that added emotion and dimension to the series finale.
I received advanced access to this audiobook thru NetGalley (for which I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher, Dreamscape Media) for an honest review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

This book had me on the floor, under a blanket, whispering, “Aya, girl, just BREATHE!” (Did she listen? Absolutely not.)
The second I realised she wasn’t missing but taken, my heart sank into my shoes and stayed there for 400 pages.
What I loved:
* Will’s desperation. Say what you will, but the man would search through hell itself for her.
* Aidon. My chaos king. Do I trust him? No. Do I love him? Also yes.
* That push pull tension between fate and free will. And oof, the light/dark balance was chef’s kiss.
What made me want to scream……
* The emotional damage. Kate Dramis really said, Oh, you wanted a breather? Too bad!
* The way I can’t decide if I wanted Aya to burn the world down or save it. Maybe both?
This was everything! Angsty, epic, romantic, and filled with high stakes. It’s one of those series finales where you finish and just sit there, staring into the void, wondering how to go on with your life.
Highly recommend if you like:
🔥 Saints with trust issues
🔥 Tortured heroines (literally)
🔥 That enemies-gods-lovers chaos
Now, excuse me while I go ice my heart.

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the ARC and ALC!
4/5 Stars
The Curse of Gods was an emotional and action packed finale to a very intense series. The found family, losses and gains, was holding me together for this book. Watching everyone push through and endure was sometimes absolutely heartbreaking (Aya, my baby). Sometimes, especially in a book that is so long, the plot can get convoluted or drag in the middle but I was never bored and I ate this up.
For the audio, the narrator was amazing! Devon narrated the past two books and the continuity and familiarity was really helpful in jumping right back into the story and feeling the highs and lows of our cast of characters. I was much more invested with the audio than I would have been just reading on its own.
Overall, this series broke my heart and put me back together again. Some of the plot twists throughout had me in shock and I was never ready for how brutal the losses were. The conclusions for everyone felt natural and well earned and I find myself wishing for an epilogue that gave me just a little more of a glimpse of their happy futures. I'm desperate to know they finally found peace after crazy monarchs, war, and angry gods.

I love this series and I am content and happy with this conclusion. All my favorite characters are back at it again. Will and Aya aren't facing the final battle alone. It honestly gave me Kingdom of Ash vibes. I like the multi-POV. I thought everyone played an important role. The sentiments were genuine as were the character archs. Suspense was driving and the pacing pleasing. Can't say enough good things!
4.5 stars

Enjoyed it! I thought the story was interesting and the world building was enjoyable. This is books 3 of the series, and the narrator did a good job.

Bingeeeeee worthyyyyy! Loved it so much ! Narrator did amazing job captivating characters and the feelings every moment of the book! I was invested start to finish !!

I've heard about this series for a while, and had it on my TBR. I just about screamed when I got approved for the ALC for book 3 (which means of course I had to hurry up and read books 1 and 2 of the series). I absolutely LOVED this whole series. I went through it in one weekend because I couldn't put it down or stop listening. Who needs sleep when there's romance and adventure?!
I went through all the emotions reading this - I laughed, cried, screamed, and gasped...all while my dog stared at me in total confusion and was 100% judging me. I hated getting to that last moment of the series, realizing it was the end and there was no more. I know it's all a five star series when I spend moments afterwards still reeling from it all. So here I am, giving my five stars and tellling everyone reading this that they need to add this to their TBR and read it ASAP!!
