Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about this book. I love the overall plot, meteor crashing, young girl wondering who her mom is, the man who raised her, the mandolin, writing country songs, female country music stars, who they are, how they got started, but I became really tired of dealing only with their angst and their running away to hide from every situation. I felt like I was in the car on every long long trip from the mountains to Nashville, from Nashville to the mountains ,from Nashville to PA and from PA back to Nashville. As much as I liked parts of the book, it became very tiresome having to deal with their constant dislike of themselves. In the end one of the main characters runs away yet again. Hasn’t she grown up enough by now to say goodbye to those who love her and live her life without hiding out? Apparently not.
