This book felt like taking a long, thoughtful walk through the woods with someone who sees the world differently, in the best way. G
abrielle Cerberville, aka “The Chaotic Forager,” blends storytelling, recipes, and real wisdom about the land into something that’s part guidebook, part memoir, and part quiet revolution.
What I loved most is how Gathered makes foraging feel both magical and accessible. It’s not just about finding food in the wild, it’s about paying attention, slowing down, and reconnecting with the seasons. Cerberville writes with honesty, humor, and a lot of heart, and by the end, I found myself seeing my own backyard in a new way.
Plus, the recipes are gorgeous (that Chanterelle Peach Pie is on my fall must-make list).
A beautiful, grounding read.
