I will be very honest- I requested this because I just started reading "The Arcana Academy" book which has to deal with tarot cards. My experience with tarot is next to none, but they walk through it in the book and it was SO cool to look through this book while listening to the explanations of what the cards do. I love this and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a fun book to color with high-resolution crisp lines. My only feedback is that I wish there was a handy reference guide or something in the front or back, a glossary almost summarizing each card to make it informative. Maybe that isn't common with coloring books though. Just a thought.

Full of simple drawings to allow the artist to interpret in their coloring. I appreciate the explanation at the beginning of the book expressing that this should be a very individual and spiritual experience. Each drawing including an explanation of the tarot card is a nice way to study when you're new to the world of tarot.

It has been years since I've picked up a coloring book, but after reviewing the designs, I would love to purchase a physical copy for myself! I can see myself listening to an audiobook and coloring these pages for hours at a time. There is a good mix of small and large areas to color (which would make my ADHD brain happy). 

As someone who is a novice to tarot cards, I found it helpful and informative to have a brief description of the card at the bottom. I also like the idea that once you are finished coloring, you now can have your own (unique) Tarot set! 

It is thoughtful that the back of each page is blank, this eliminates any worries for bleeding from markers/paint/sharpies. 

My favorite cards, aesthetically, are The Empress, The World, 4 of Wands, Ace and 8 of Cups.

I am very picky about coloring books. There are many hastily-thrown together ones that I can't imagine having fun coloring due to too small areas to color (and I enjoy coloring with relatively fine point utensils, so when I say too small I mean it!), line art that is not fully connected, or poor image or paper quality. I haven't reviewed a coloring book yet that I recall, so I thought it would be fun to measure this one up to my high standards.

I am happy to say that I think I would have a fun time coloring this book! Verbyk's illustrations are clearly adapted from the Rider-Waite tarot deck (which is illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith, whose name of course is usually left out) in terms of composition, but have been modified somewhat. The expressions of human figures are a little simplified in a way that is appealing, and some of the detail has been removed or simplified to allow for coloring. There are a few cards where I feel like this was taken a little too far and there are almost to few details and areas to color, but those cards were the minority. Each card is printed on its own page with a blank page next to it for notes, and the basic meaning of each card is printed under the illustration.

I am curious to know if Verbyk acknowledges the Rider-Waite tarot as the source these images are taken from. It is not mentioned at the beginning of the book, and my ARC did not include the entirety of the book, so I don't know if it appears in the back matter.

I will definitely be buying a copy of this to colour in. There's a few things I really loved; especially the sentences on the bottom, saying what the card itself meant.

I think that the cards would be easy enough to colour in, for most ages. The wheel of fortune is definitely my favourite.

The Tarot Coloring Book by Maryna Verbyk is so fun! I love the interpretations of the classic Rider Waite-Smith deck into coloring sheets. This is something I am going to keep in mind as Christmas gifts for my tarot club group.

The Tarot Coloring Book brings together Tarot and coloring. You are able to get the relaxing benefits of coloring while ending up with a full individualized set of cards. The illustrations are simple enough to not take a terribly long time, but still look visually appealing. I appreciated that there was a recommendation to use dry coloring tools to avoid color bleeding on your final product.
