I am obsessed with this series and everything Demi Winters writes.
I have loved this series from the beginning and book 3 was every bit as amazing as I hoped. The banter was perfection, the story was exciting, engaging and fast paced and the steam was 🥵.
It is everything you want in a romantasy series and more.

Amazing !! This series has to be one of my favorites! The characters and vibes keep me page flipping.

Just like the three previous books, this one is another work of art!
Lovable main characters, infuriating antagonists, a rich world, and a story full of adventure, romance, humor, and anything you could want in a fantasy world.
This is the only multiple POV book that I have ever been equally invested in all the parts. The story is well balanced and in no way gives you the whiplash that some other multi-pov's have a tendency to cause.
The story also has minimal filler, but also doesn't feel like you are being dragged on the journey too quickly. Despite having 2.5 books before it, its an enjoyable continuation to the adventure that makes perfect sense.
I will never stop talking about these books! So if you haven't read any of the Ashen series..go back and do that first. But then know you are in good hands with the Dawn of the North.

I absolutely loved the different POVs in this book. Unlike in book two when the POV changes came out of the unexpected (since book one was solo POV) this felt natural. On a personal note - I loved getting more of Hekla. I think after the novella she is someone I have so much more investment and attachment to and was excited to see her and Eyvind continue to duke it out.
I will say this plot moved a bit slower than I normally like as far as the pacing goes but overall the story line continues to be captivating. The world building of this series is really top tier and I have an emotional investment in… most of the characters. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next.
Thank you NetGalley and Delacorte Press for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Yes please & thank you! This book was the perfect addition to the series- I can't believe Demi doesn't get more hype, she truly truly deserves it. She just writes so well and really takes her time to tell a story, and let the reader get to know her characters. I loved the additional POV's and where this book ended up (I'm a sucker for a good cliffhanger and introduction of more fantasy creatures hehehehe). I'm so ready to see where the rest of this series goes <3 Thanks a million Net Galley for the ARC u made my life <3 <3 <3

The women in this series are nothing short of warriors! And the men that love them are definitely heroes. (Not that they need saving) I love this series and cannot wait til the next one!

LOVED this one! The entire series is epic and I love this world. I will always read what this author puts out! So good!

Whatever you are doing, stop it and go and start reading the first book of this series, The Road of Bones, if you haven't already.
I have to say I wasn't expecting to love this book as much as I did. Early in the book a few things are happening that I don't enjoy reading about but the author wrote those conflicts so well and resolved them so fast, showing how each of the romantic relationships she is writing is strong and there's not one perfect main couple but all of them are unique and as important as the other.
I loved Saga and Kas' relationship developing from a hard environment to something of a safe harbor for both of them.
And don't get me started on Silla and Rey 😭 my babies I love them so so very much.
This was the best book in the series so far which makes me hopeful for what's to come. It keeps getting better and even though this book is not even out yet, I need the 4th book RIGHT NOW 😂
Huge thanks to NetGalley and Ballantine for providing me with the eARC of this book.

I loved this book! It is the third book in the series and each book gets better than the last. I loved the sister bond also!

lowkey turning into one of my favorite romantasys ever i was invested in every female lead and love interest and there wasn’t one pov (out of the many povs mind u) that i was like fuck here we go again. winters does utilize multiple common romantasy tropes that would normally cause me to roll my eyes, but she does it in a way that keeps me engaged and invested in the growth of each character. tbh i would b satisfied if this was the ending but im still looking forward to the next ones!

This book was a whirlwind! 600+ pages of relentless action and heart-pounding adventure, scheming and chaos, animal friends, and multiple truly badass, strong women taking charge of their destiny and fighting for a better world. And don't even get me started on the romance. I love how Demi is able to create three entirely different yet equally strong couples to swoon over. One of my favorite things about this series is the found family that blooms between such unlikely characters. Watching them cultivate such beautiful, genuine friendships makes my heart so happy. (If you can't already tell) I'm obsessed with these characters and getting to see the different characters/POVs colliding had me squealing. (As a random, unnecessary side note: Kass and Rey meeting is everything I didn't know I needed). The ending had me feeling like I could finally breathe. Like the group had finally gotten things resolved, and yet still leaves me needing the next book ASAP with the tiny cliffhanger thrown in at the very end. Thanks Netgalley for the e-ARC!

Wow! This was amazing. The story and pacing was beautiful and the characters and settings made the book so diverse. Demi has made a beautiful series and I cannot wait to read more!

Talk about a page-turner!
Dawn of the North is packed with action, romance, political intrigue and Viking-inspired fantasy.⚔️
Right from the start, Demi Winters sets the tone by providing a great recap of the previous books. I think this shows a high level of consideration for her readers while also preventing the need to awkwardly spoon feed reminders during the actual story. We get to jump right into the meat of the story, and boy is it a meaty one!
I loved that we had so many POV characters in this book. Demi Winters does an amazing job of making them so human (even when they're not); they make mistakes, overcome, have setbacks, persevere. They have their strengths, they have their weaknesses and we get to see all of that on full display.
Every time we switched POVs, I thought to myself "Aw man, I want to keep reading about [character]," only to immediately get pulled into the next chapter. This happened over and over, and the next thing I know it's 2AM and I'm still reading.😅
While the previous two books in the series have set a great foundation, DotN brought a new depth to this fantasy world--both on a broad and individual level. We got more worldbuilding and extended lore. We also got introspective descriptions from the Galdra as they wield their magic, vivid enough that you can imagine what it feels like.
The romance was sweet and sexy. Kassandr Rurik was my favorite addition to Kingdom of Claw, and I can't wait to see more of him and Saga, especially now that she can understand all of his little Zagadkian phrases and pet names.
This has been my favorite book in the series so far, and I am so thrilled to have received my ARC copy through NetGalley. Now how am I supposed to wait for Book 4?!

Friends - this series by Demi Winters is one of the best I've ever read. Dawn of the North (the 3rd book in the series) does not disappoint. It picks back up with our favorite characters. We're introduced to new storylines and new adventures. As usually, Demi's writing is impeccable, and I thoroughly enjoyed this installment. 5/5 would ABSOLUTELY recommend.

These men are UNMATCHED...
You thought you loved Rey before??? ... no you didn't
You thought you loved Kass before??? ... no you didn't
You thought you loved Eyvind before??? ... no you didn't
You thought you loved Silla before??? ... no you didn't
You thought you loved Hekla before??? ... no you didn't
You thought you loved Saga before??? ... no you didn't
(I think I made my point)
This installment is phenomenal. The plot development... the relationship development... the lore development... YES. Yes yes yes.
The YEARNING, the PINING, the ANGST, the WORSHIPPING, the LOVE... all incredible.
Demi Winters DOES. NOT. MISS. I don't know what she puts into her writing but it is phemonenal and I adore this world, I adore these characters, I just love it all. It is so easy to lose yourself in reading these books and the next thing you know you have read a 600 page book in less than a day... I could NOT put this book down.
How well she knows each character, how she portrays all the characters quirks and who they are individually is unmatched. They are all their own person with their own thoughts and own motives and how they all come together and interact is just phenomenal.
I loved seeing new people interact, I loved seeing it all come together, I loved the stress not knowing what is going to happen. I cannot say enough good things.
The banter between everyone, Rey and Silla are perfection. Saga and Kass are perfection. Each character is handled with so much care and I again... I cannot say enough good things. The chemistry is THROUGH THE ROOF... the desk scene?! Demi... KASS AND SAGA?! Demi... Holy smokes... Yes.
Overall.... yes. This book is amazing. I am upset with myself for reading it so fast cause now I have to wait even LONGER for the next book... but at the same time I am not upset because I love spending time with these characters, they are like family. I cannot wait to see where this goes and I cannot wait to see what happens!
Now the long wait... *sits and twirls her fingers*.

Dawn of the North, The Ashen Series: Book 3 by Demi Winters.
I rated this book 5 stars.
The book follows Silla as she journeys into the harsh northern lands, where survival is just as dangerous as the battles being waged. Along the way, we see betrayals that cut deep, shifting alliances, and a growing sense that the conflicts are about more than just territory—they’re about identity, loyalty, and the power to shape the future. You are also getting POVs from Hekla, Saga, Kassandr, and Reynir. As the mist threatens the realm sisters, Silla and Saga, must dive into their magic to battle against evil.
What stood out most for me were the emotional stakes. Moments of vulnerability between the characters balanced the epic fight scenes, and the tension kept me turning pages.
Demi Winters did it again, I love this series. It all started just a random series I picked up with a rogue BOTM credit and have yet to want to put it down. I thoroughly enjoy that as the series goes, you begin to gain more POVs throughout the chapters.
This was a phenomenal read, equal parts brutal and beautiful. Winters delivers a fantasy that feels cinematic and raw, yet still tender at its core.
Thank you, NetGalley and Ballantine| Delacorte Press for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I loved seeing all three POVs in this one and how they all come together. I was especially excited to see Kritka again! I love a good animal companion. Silla and Saga both grow a lot in this one while staying true to themselves and recognizing the strength they always possessed.
This series moves a little slow at times but definitely hooks readers. This installment will release in February, and I'm already anxious awaiting the next one!

This has to be my favorites series yet. The quests, challenges, developing relationships, and the development of the characters themselves has been an amazing ride to be on. I cannot wait for more!

First, thank you to the publisher for allowing me an early read to this book.
From the first chapter of Road of Bones I was hooked to this series. While the first book had too much narrative dialogue between characters which seemed almost see through, Demi Winters writing has improved much for this book. The characters are so well fleshed out and the choices for different POVs within different scenes were so well made. It felt very natural to read different characters, some I hated when their POV showed up but that's how I know Winters writing did its job.
The story was paced so well and the ending was perfect. Unlike a lot of other series the book did not seem like a filler book it instead aided the story. The ending was also perfect- it was not the usual cliffhanger used to keep readers coming back but instead Demi Winters let the story stand for itself and for that the story felt complete. I'm very excited to see where the next book will take me.
Also page 327 of chapter 38 seemed to have a typo- almost like words were missed at the top of the page.

Perfection. Demi Winters can truly do no wrong. This book was the perfect next step in the journey! Thank you so much for the Arc and I look forward to adding the physical book to my shelf when it comes out.
