The concept of this story was super cute and initially really intriguing so I thought it definitely had a lot of potential. I loved that the FMC was attending a candle convention because it was such a unique and charming detail that gave the book a fun starting point. That said, the connection between the FMC and MMC didn’t quite land for me. Their interactions felt a bit rushed and underdeveloped, and I think the relationship could have benefited from more buildup or tension to make it feel more authentic and engaging. One thing I did enjoy was how loyal both characters were to their friends. That quality added a lot to their personalities and made them feel like a genuinely good match, even if their romance didn’t fully work for me. I also struggled a bit with how clumsy the FMC was portrayed. While I understand that it was meant to be a defining trait and part of the humor, some moments leaned into secondhand embarrassment territory a bit too hard, which pulled me out of the story at times. Overall, this book had some sweet ideas and heartwarming moments, but I think with more character development and pacing, it could’ve been stronger.

I absolutely love enemies to lovers. Megan and Logan both being clumsy is serendipitous. The font size shifting so much with some of the chapters was a little annoying but I just zoomed in on my kindle. The fast love isn't normally for me but it's pretty cute.

the friendships that were made in this were cute.

Megan Monroe wants nothing to do with Logan Ward. He keeps sticking up for his friend after a messy breakup with Megan’s. How far will loyalty go to their best friends when they both show up to the same resort? This was a super cute enemies to lovers Rom Com. I liked the dual POVs. Even with this being a second story in a series this worked as a stand alone as well. I didn’t read the first story and could follow along fine.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read for an honest review.

Summary:
A short, light one-shot romance that mixes loyalty, misunderstandings, and a sweet second chance vibe.

Review:
This was such a short little read but honestly, it was cute and hit the spot. Megan stood her ground, staying loyal to her friend and putting Logan firmly in his place… though to be fair, he did apologise once he knew the truth about Chase.

Brooke was the ultimate wing woman, and her poolside assist to help Logan win Megan back gave real 10 Things I Hate About You energy.

I’m always here for characters who are clumsy (being coordinatedly challenged myself), and the ending had just the right amount of charm to feel like a new beginning.

Short, sweet, and exactly what it set out to be. Nothing more to add.

I really wanted to like this but I just didn’t
I read the whole thing. And While yes to was fast moving (which is won’t we want) I just didn’t believe the story. It all felt forced

I wanted a little cute story to read i picked this one without ever hearing about this author and not knowing this the second book in a series. I liked the idea of a person being a great friend to someone but actually being a cheater and a liar. I thought this was going to be an interesting thing.
The FMC was really unlikeable and totally ruined the whole story for me. I don’t think i am going to read anything from this author anymore.

The premise involves Logan defending his cheating friend, leading to a clash with Megan. I could completely understand Logan's perspective—a ride-or-die friend and would defend the best friend to the end. I struggled with why Megan couldn't grasp that level of loyalty.

The banter between them felt more awkward than witty, even though I understand its a novella the chemistry never had enough time to develop.

I think Megan's character and her her clumsiness wasn't quirky, it was just clumsy. On a positive note, I did love the name of the candle shop.

Ultimately, this mix of forced proximity and insta-love was alright. I appreciate the author's effort.

There was so much packed into such a short story and I enjoyed it all! I did not read the first book before reading this one but now I think I am going to have to go back and read it. I don't feel like I missed anything by not reading book one but I want to get to know the characters that make an appearance in the second book. I found myself laughing while reading and this will not be the last book I pick up by T Atkins.

A quick, sweet, and satisfying enemies to lovers short story. I instantly warmed to Megan, I can always relate to a clumsy main character.

The writing was enjoyable, and the story flowed nicely. The romance was cute, and you could feel the chemistry between Logan and Megan.

The novella has a dreamy setting and is lovely for a short, happy read with humour, romance, and friendship.

First off, as a candle maker myself I really liked that concept that was thrown in there. This is my first time reading anything by this author and I thought it was the perfect little rom com. I definitely feel like I need more of Logan and Megan's story!

This was a very short enemies to lovers novella, that moved very quickly and fell a little flat in places.

But it was a very easy read.

Sparks & Snarks is book 2 in the Flicker & Flame series. This short story follows Megan (Alexa's employee/assistant) and Logan (Chase's best friend); it's a cute dual POV, enemies-to-lovers rom-com. Both Megan and Logan are loyal to a fault; Megan cannot stand the fact that Chase lied to all his friends by telling them that the reason why Alexa and Chase broke up is due to Alexa's infidelity. All the characters were very fun and loved the chemistry between the characters.

I would highly recommend reading book 1, The Scent of a Romance, before reading this book.

A big thank you to Netgalley and T. Atkins for giving me this ARC in return for my honest review!

This book is about Megan, a young woman who goes to attend a candle making seminar at a resort in order to further her job performance. Who's staying at the resort? Her “enemy” Logan. The attractive man who is the BFF of her BFF’s cheating ex. Lots of hilarity, romance, and botched pranks.

Pros
I was looking for a short, cute, quick read and I got exactly what I was looking for from this book. I think it took me only a few hours to read. It was light, it was comedic, and the plot was straight forward. If you're looking for something similar, this could be the book for you!

Cons
Are you really enemies if the MMC never actually dislikes the FMC?
Is being clumsy a personality trait? And do people really break up with clumsy people for that express reason?
The conflict between the two of them felt sort of low stakes/like they were removed from it. She's mad because his best friend cheated on her best friend then lied about it. Logan took his friend's word at face value and Megan hates him for it. There's no real issue between the two MCs though. Logan says almost at the beginning that he has no issues with Megan, her best friend is actually happy and in love with someone else, and her friend even tells her that Logan is a good guy and there's no reason to treat him like hot garbage.

I rated this book 2.75 rounded up to 3 stars. It wasn't exactly my cup of tea but I think it definitely could be someone’s.
The spice rating in this book is 0 - just kissing.

This is my second novella by T. Atkins and I loved this one too! I loved "Sparks & Snarks" because it gets down to the meat of the story; it has all of the the good stuff without all of the fluff. If you want a story that is just plot without long, narrative, then this is for you! I love the cute dialog and I also really love that it's a cute, clean romance! I'm definitely a fan of this author!! *I received a complimentary e-ARC from the author/publishing company via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

I feel like short stories like this can be easy for some to be negative about for the lack of a solid plot or not enough detail. But I think that's the whole point. This book is absolutely perfect for a quick read while commuting or during a lunch break or even to pass a little time between your day. Not everyone can sit and read an 800 page 9 book series, and think 'eeek this excites me'. The story is cute as hell, and while it was fast-paced, I still found myself thinking, "Oh Megan, don't get in your own way, honey!" It had enough substance in a very brief 70 odd pages for me to connect with the main character.

I would definitely recommend this, it's got enemies to lovers, accidentally forced proximity, loyalty, new friends, romance, and a HEA.

***Thank you to netgalley and Victory editing for providing me with the ARC, the above review is my honest opinion and has not been influenced in any way.

This was a cute, fast paced read. I wanted to like this more than I did. If you want a short quick story I would recommend. If you like non cringe well developed characters, I would skip.

Sparks & Snarks is a delightful romantic comedy that delivers on its promise of witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and heartfelt moments. The story follows Megan Monroe, a woman seeking solace at a luxury resort during a candle convention, only to find herself entangled with Logan Ward, a charming and infuriating man who seems to be everywhere she turns. Their initial animosity quickly gives way to undeniable attraction, leading to a forced proximity scenario that fans of the enemies-to-lovers trope will adore.

Atkins' writing is sharp and engaging, with a pace that keeps the story moving without feeling rushed. The chemistry between Megan and Logan is palpable, and their interactions are both humorous and touching. The novella format allows for a concise yet satisfying narrative, making it a perfect quick read for those looking for a light hearted escape.

Overall Takeaway: Sparks & Snarks is a charming enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy that combines humour, heart, and chemistry in a delightful package. It's a perfect choice for readers seeking a quick, feel-good read with engaging characters and a satisfying romance.

Thank you for an advanced readers copy of this short story filled with enemies to lovers pettiness, charged moments and cute romance.

A petty prank turns into a total nightmare and the pair end up thrown together causing the lines begin to blur and feelings to creep up from the depths.

We love a forced proximity, fake dating and enemies to lovers trope. A lot unfolds in such a short story, but the ending is so worth the drama throughout.

I think the book was good. As the book was short I understand why it was this way but I felt that the enemies part of the enemies to lovers was not long enough however because it is a novella I think it is just right for the book. I liked the banter but at some points I did think that I was cringy. But the ending was really cute and Logan is so swoon worthy. Anyway, I think the book is such a good, fast paced read that I actually enjoyed.
