If you're looking for a short, spicy romance that delivers maximum sizzle with minimal fluff, Her Resume is pure gold. It’s fast, confident, and trope-filled—think “give me all the office tension, age gap, praise kink, late-night smirks, and one-bed situations.” Whether you're lounging with a latte or curled up before bed, this little novella serves exactly what the title promises and I love it!

HER Resume follows a confident, sex positive, curvy, fmc (which is refreshing to see) as she ventures into a new job position. This is where our mmc comes in. He is her boss and older than her. YAY AGE GAP!
The storyline is fun and easy to follow. However, there are parts of both of our MCs backgrounds that we didn't really get to see and leaves the reader not connecting too much to these characters. So I'd say that needs more fleshing out. I feel like this wanted to follow an enemies to lovers trope in the beginning but it didn't really play out that way. It was more insta lust than anything but also a slow burn as the characters don't really act out on their feelings until halfway through. This is a short story but the fact that they had all but 2 interactions and already they claimed to be in 'love' was a little unhinged 😭 This has alot of potential and just needs some editing as I did notice some grammar errors here and there. And more fleshing out of the characters.

This was a very quick story about a girl who needs to land a job at one of the most prominent companies in their city. Considering that this is my first time reading an erotica, I kinda enjoyed it but also wished that there was something more in the story. I liked each character but I’m trying to find something deep within the story and the characters as well.

The plot was kind of a giveaway, I didn't really expect something to grab my attention fully. What I would love is if this story was an erotica slow burn. There are points where I feel like the story was being rushed and I would’ve loved it if the other characters got a bit more interaction. Nevertheless, if you are looking for an erotica that is very quick to read and pick up, I would recommend this book!

This book was definitely spicy and a quick age-gap novella, and I definitely enjoyed that. However, for me personally, this story leaned more toward the physical and spicy side rather than giving us much of a developed plot, which made it hard for me to stay fully connected.

Going into it after reading the blurb, I thought there would be more to the story line and a stronger emotional build-up between the characters. But the book focused heavily on the main character’s relationships with wealthy clients and the physical side of things, so the plot felt rushed. I realized while reading that I personally prefer spice paired with a solid plot, and this one just didn’t give me enough of that balance.

Overall, I did enjoy the traits and hustle of the main and side characters. I did love the spice, but this book was not for me. that’s just my personal preference. I just wanted more, but no hate on the book. If you enjoy quick, spicy novellas with steamy tension, an age gap, and multiple tropes, then this is perfect. I loved how jealous and possessive the mmc was like he was top tier.

Thank you to NetGalley and @PolypenPublishing for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Her Resume is a quick, short, easy to read novella that follows Morgan our FMC. She is all about career first, love later until she meets her new boss, Jason Marks. He’s confident, charming, and exactly the kind of distraction she promised herself she wouldn’t get tangled up with. Of course, that resolve doesn’t last long once the late night meetings, smirks, and yes, the one bed situation start piling up.

This one is a quick, bingeable read with all the workplace tension you could want. The chemistry between Morgan and Jason sparks right away, and the back and forth between resisting and giving in keeps things fun and steamy. I also liked that Morgan’s ambition stayed front and center; it made her feel more grounded and relatable, even when things got messy.

The pacing is fast, which works well for the story, though at times I wished for just a little more depth beyond the physical pull between them. Still, the mix of boss/employee tension, age gap, and the added spice (hello, praise kink and a bit of reverse harem) makes this a steamy escape read.

If you’re in the mood for a flirty, trope packed office romance with plenty of spice, Her Resume is the book for you.

The story itself id very weak and the characters not interesting but oh my! This is a fire hot book specially if you are looking for some spicy content! Overall very fun reading!

Unfortunately, this book didn’t work for me. From the dedication, the author speaks about women fighting to be recognized equally in the workplace, but the FMC ends up using sex in almost every interaction. I found this not only overdone but also a bit offensive, as it felt like a disservice to women in corporate environments, especially coming from someone who has experienced sexual harassment. The theme was treated far too lightly.
The erotic parts could have worked, but the constant use of the word “kitty” to refer to the FMC’s body completely broke any sense of sensuality for me. The characters don’t get to know each other in any meaningful way, and the plot itself is almost nonexistent. I was left confused in several parts, and I believe more space for development was needed.

I’ve been big into Novellas lately (I’m slacking on my reading goal this year). The MMC felt immature. The spice was decent but I’ve definitely seen more well adapted spicy novellas. This story line was very easy to follow and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to have read it.

This is just an okay read. It has instant chemistry and a decent plot but I guess I'd prefer it if there was a little more depth to the characters, even in a novella like this.

HER Resume is about a woman working her way up in the real estate industry and accidentally falling in love with her boss. This had a surprising amount of plot for an erotica novella. The sex scenes were hot and the plot was easy enough to follow. The author makes some word choices in the sex scenes that threw me off, but that's most likely personal preference.

Thank you Shana Collins, PolyPen Publishing, and NetGalley for this book. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I didn’t love or hate this novella—it was just okay. It was a quick read, which made it easy to get through, but that also seemed to work against it. The short length didn’t leave enough room to properly develop the characters or the story, and as a result, both felt underdeveloped. The potential was there, but the pacing and brevity caused the story to suffer.

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for the opportunity to read this!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.
Morgan does whatever it takes to get further in her career at a young age until she meets Jason the man she thought she needed to work for to get where she wat to be in the next step of he career. He does help her but she isn't sure if he really is helping. Lots of spice in this book

Her Resume is an age-gap, office romance that really brings the spice. The banter snaps, the chemistry is instant, and the connection between the leads is fun to watch. I did wish for a bit more depth—both in the characters and in the relationship beats—but as a solid daddy novella with an older MMC, it delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re craving a spicy, quick read, this one scratches the itch. Heads-up for age-gap and workplace power dynamics

Starting off strong with the smut! 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 It was fast paced and exactly what you'd like to read as a palate cleanser. Enjoyed it very much.

Take this book for what it is, which is, a fun little read, perfect to read in between those intense books to give you a little reprieve. It’s a short and spicy read. Is it insta lust and InstaLove? Yes, but that’s whats great about it, you know exactly what you're going to get, what you're in for.

Did I wish there was a little more chemistry between the leads? Yes, i also wasn’t overly convinced with the FMC, at least not when it came to what she was doing for a living, it seemed her only real role was to be the entertainment by the male characters, BUT it wasn’t bad, and didn’t overly detract.

Like i said, read it for what it is. It’s a fun, spicy read.

This was such a fun, steamy workplace romance with all the tropes I love boss/employee tension, one bed, and even a sprinkle of praise kink. Morgan’s “career first, love later” rule had me rooting for her… until Jason showed up with his charm, smirks, and ability to derail her entire plan in thirty seconds flat. The chemistry between them was addictive, and I loved the mix of banter and heat. My only tiny gripe is that sometimes the thirty day deadline felt more like a suggestion than an actual ticking clock, but overall, I devoured this and had a blast

Novella's are always easy ready and this one definitely was.
This novella was all spice very little story. It was still entertaining but I think it was hard to connect with the characters in any real way.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! HER Resume was exactly what I expected from a short and spicy office romance 🥵. It jumped straight into the heat and the relationship moved fast with no real depth, but I did not expect anything different from a quick read like this. The chemistry between Morgan and Jason was fun and the spice was definitely spicing. The writing was easy to read and I finished it in one sitting!!!

This book was just not for me. I kept waiting for the main character to be really good at her job & prove them all wrong but I never got that. There was not relationship between the two main characters and I struggled with how quickly they fell in love. It was intended as a novella though so I may just not have been the target audience. Thank you Netgalley for providing me with this arc for my honest review.

HER Resume is a short, spicy novella about an office, age gap romance.

I’ve read novellas before, and know they are meant to be short. But, there is still time to build up to the plot. I felt like things transpired really quick in this story, and the rationale wasn’t really there. It is definitely spice heavy, which isn’t my cup of tea (I prefer a real relationship with spice intermixed) but could be for somebody else!

The MMC is in his 50s, but acts pretty immature. So does the FMC. Again, they fall hard for one another even though there isn’t much of a relationship prior to hooking up, or even once they do. There isn’t substance behind their relationship.

Overall, this story may be better for another reader! It just wasn’t for me. I am still very thankful for NetGalley, PolyPen publishing, & Shana Collins for this ARC!
