An enjoyable read with interesting characters & storyline. I will be looking for more from this author! Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC.

Anomalous Events in an American Suburb is a quirky, unsettling, and strangely captivating read. Ross S. Myers has crafted a story that blends the ordinary with the extraordinary in such a way that you never quite know what’s real and what’s imagined. The suburban setting felt both familiar and uncanny, and that tension really pulled me in.
The writing style had a rhythm that worked well for the strange, otherworldly atmosphere. I’m very glad I had the chance to read this early, and I’m excited to see what Myers writes next.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Anomalous Events in an American Suburb is an ambitious blend of science fiction, romantic fantasy, and historical intrigue. The story follows Kansas City attorney Essie Kemp, who encounters a mysterious woman in a grocery store, setting off a chain of events that weave together government secrets, ancient myths, and global crises.
I loved the intricate world-building and the way Myers connects real historical events with speculative elements. The characters are compelling, and the story moves across timelines and locations in a way that keeps things engaging.
That said, the plot can feel dense at times. There’s a lot going on, and I wish some threads had been a bit tighter to let the main story shine even more.
Overall, it’s a layered, thought-provoking read that mixes history, fantasy, and intrigue in a unique way.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kyknus Books for the eARC.
