This is the book 2 to the Supers in the City series. Taranis is a superhero with electric powers and Monika is a war/action photographer. He tricks her into a contract with him using her crush on him against her. But what happens when he starts to actually see her and like a human.

This book was so fun. Her little spouts of dissociation when she is about to have a panic attack are perfectly written. I loved Monika as a character. She is strong and funny. Taranis is kind of an asshole but it works. Its more of a "i hate everyone but you" kind of thing. Taranis is a bit more morally grey than Rolland was and Im not mad about that.

I used this as a palate cleanser book since the last book I read was not good at all. I needed a pick me up and this hit the spot! I read this in one sitting and didn't want to put it down! The spice in this book is phenomenal! I love a good dom/sub relationship and when there is knotting???? YES! And the knotting isn't only in the last 10% of the book??? SIGN ME UP!

Thank you Net Galley for the E-arc of this book!

This was a cute and fun palette cleanser book, I read it quickly and really enjoyed it. I hadn’t read the first in the series but downloaded it afterwards for the next time I need a cheer up read.

What I liked in particular:
- I liked the merge between superheroes and the day to day lives of everyone else. It was like getting to read what Lois Lane gets up to when she’s not hanging out with Superman.
- Monika was a really likeable character.

Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Okay, a superhero romance is not something I knew I needed. How adorable!! Love this little book. The definition of escapism.
