Shaw has been born a bone witch with the ability to raise the dead..

“If I ask you to walk into danger with me , Rosamund Holt; will you do it ? “

I loved the relationship between Shaw and Rosamund ..💖

I like that Shaw fails at trying to court Rosamund ..

I loves the magic of the book with bone witches, familiars and shifting 💖

I was excited for the follow up to the Daughter of the Bone Forest. It is one of my favorite books and I was on the edge of my seat. The sequel is good but I feel like this duology could easily be a trilogy. This book felt rushed to wrap everything up. I did still enjoy it and it was hard to put down. I will definitely read more by this author.

4.5/5 ⭐️ An exhilarating second book in this sapphic, magical, YA duology. When I finished the first book I was so impatient and was overjoyed when I saw I could read this book early! This book was fun, faced paced with small bits of more deep emotional moments. I found the characters relatable and engaging and the plot kept me hooked. The only thing I will say is at times the book felt a bit too slow or too fast. Overall I got through this book relatively fast and would definitely recommend checking this out (and the first book if you haven’t read that yet) THANK YOU NET GALLEY AND PUBLISHER FOR LETTING ME READ THIS ARC!

My only real complaint is I'm pretty sure I recall the series mentioning that Our favorite MC familiar has two dozen shifts and the books never actually name off two dozen animals. Otherwise, pretty great duology. The leads make mistakes but they also learn from them and I loved when they finally are aware of their love for each other and both admit it. There's no silly mind games or using people to upset the other, just two strong women that eventually find their best way to each other's hearts.
