This was full of twists and turns. I enjoyed the world building and the premise of using your astrological sign as your basis for magical powers. The ranking system was a good way to bring tension to the main characters. Hope to see more from this world as it felt it ended on a very tense cliffhanger.
Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins for access to this ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Sadly, I didn't enjoy this book at all. I didn't like the writing style and the characters, or even where the plot went.
Still, I'm not giving it less than two stars because what I didn't enjoy could be someone else's favourite book.

This was a fun one and easy to read. It reminded me a bit of zodiac academy which I enjoy. It was witchy and magical, Ophelia and Serena were really fun and powerful and I loved them! Their lightning and water powers being kind of opposite was a cool touch since their personalities and wants were so different as well.

This feels like a guilty pleasure book. The plot is obviously super similar to Zodiac Academy as we follow twins ripped from their hard life as orphans and find themselves with these untapped magical abilities and a new destiny. I shamelessly enjoyed it though. I thought it was fun, fast paced, and a good time. Is the writing super high quality? No, definitely not. But the story was gripping the sisters were cool and overall I had a good time! I’m not sure this will stick with me for years to come but it was a nice break from reality!
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for this advanced copy!

While the worldbuilding is a bit lackluster and sloppy, the twelve was fun and felt like something out of the 2000s dystopian YA craze.

This was such an addictive continuation of the series. It had that fast-paced, high-stakes energy that made it really hard to put down. I loved how the world expanded and how the tension between characters kept building. The mix of action, mystery, and emotional moments hit just right. Some of the plot twists were a little easy to see coming, but they were still fun to watch unfold. If you’re into dystopian adventures with drama, danger, and a cast you want to follow to the end, this is a solid pick.
