Science fiction meets political thriller in this edge of your seat thriller that combines string theory, time travel and reincarnation to great effect. Don’t try to understand the science, remember it’s a book and enjoy the ride of your life

This is a fresh take on reincarnation and time travel. No spoilers, but the title is a huge clue of where this story is going. Sarah is a therapist specialized in past lives. Through one of her sessions with a patient, she finds out about an event in the future and tries to prevent it. Agent Grant Lukather from Homeland Security’s shady Predictive Analytics unit is tasked with finding out how Sarah could know so much. He’s almost convinced that, in the best of cases, it’s a scam. The action is non-stop from the very beginning, with different timelines (literally). I never fully understand these types of stories, and I don’t even try; I just enjoy the ride. Paradoxes and even Quantum Physics make an appearance. Sarah’s theory to explain what’s happening makes lots of sense, and Grant keeps looking for rational explanations when confronted by the inexplicable. Ray Porter does most of the heavy lifting with the audiobook narration, and he is fantastic. Marin Ireland and Stephanie Sheh complete the cast, portraying Sarah and her patient in a few short chapters. I liked how the voices matched Porter’s performance. The final part is very suspenseful, and I kept gasping at all the twists. The ending feels earned, although the last chapter leaves it open for a sequel (that I need NOW!). Enjoyable popcorn fiction at its best.
