I enjoyed this book, just the right amount of character development and surprises along the way. I was especially surprised by some twists at the end and cannot wait for the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed getting to read this book, it uses the mystery element and had that overall feel that I was looking for from this type of book. I cared about what was happening to Claire and the rest of the characters in this world. Kae Allen was able to create a strong storyline and was invested in what was going on.

Wow wow wow !!! So good the story line came together great I loved it the main character was great as well thank you for this awesome book

For painter Claire Davies, moving her family to Winslow Manor was supposed to provide them all a chance to slow down and take a break from city life. And while the property has rekindled her creativity and turned her children into explorers, it isn’t long before the secrets surrounding the Winslow family begin to surface.

The gossip mill in the quaint little town of Oak Grove is stunned when Pearl Winslow, the last living member of her family, sells the manor to strangers, and even more when they lay eyes on Claire, who’s the spitting image of the infamous Isabelle Winslow, Pearl’s deceased mother. But Pearl knows the Davies are exactly where she needs them, even though she finds herself happier than expected having them around. With Pearl torn between her growing affection for the young family and her loyalty to her own, only Claire can stop the sinister plot lurking in the shadows of the dusty old house. But only if she’s strong enough when the Dark Moon arrives.

Kae Allen's "Under the Dark Moon" is a gripping and atmospheric read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The author masterfully blends elements of mystery, suspense, and the supernatural to create a story that is both chilling and compelling.

The central character, Claire Davies, is incredibly relatable as she navigates a new life in an old Victorian manor, only to discover that her dream home holds a dark secret. The pacing is excellent, with a growing sense of unease that builds to a thrilling climax. Allen's descriptions of the setting are vivid and immersive, making the lake and the manor feel like characters themselves.

For readers who enjoy a good ghost story with a psychological edge, "Under the Dark Moon" is an excellent choice. It's a novel that explores the line between reality and the paranormal, and the secrets people keep, all while delivering a truly unforgettable and spooky experience.
