I found this book to be both engaging and useful. It’s packed with practical approaches to sparking creativity, and I came away with several strategies I hadn’t considered before. What really stood out was the inclusion of stories centered on women innovators, which felt refreshing compared to the usual focus on male figures in tech and invention. The examples were eye-opening and challenged me to rethink how new ideas can be nurtured. Overall, it’s insightful, enjoyable, and absolutely worth picking up if you’re interested in understanding the process behind innovative thinking.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for the advance copy.

How Great Ideas Happen by George Newman was surprisingly informative. I think the overall message that a big new idea is not necessary but that a great idea is built on something that already exists. Making that an even better product or concept allows for the greatness to shine through. The books exercises are helpful, an added bonus to the book. This book provides a fresh take and how to take your idea and make it Great.

Thank you to the publisher, Simon & Schuster for the advanced reader copy via Net Galley in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this ARC.

This was an interesting perspective on how new, interesting ideas happen.

I really enjoy discussions on creativity and innovation so this was a very fun read.

I also really enjoyed the experiments, I wasn't expecting those, so it was a fun little surprise while reading this.

Overall, I don't think this book says anything life changing, but it is an interesting perspective and something to make you think about your own creativity.

This was a great read. The book offers a bunch of ideas for generating ideas that felt fresh and inspiring. I also appreciate the fact that many of the stories were new to me and featured women as inventors instead of the slew of male tech examples that many books constantly reference. This book made me think differently about how to approach generating ideas. This was a fun read that I would suggest others read if they want a deeper look at how good ideas are created. Can’t wait to pick this one up when it releases.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc
