I don't know what it is about World War II that pulls me in. It could be the historic archaeologist that I am who loves her research, or that events that occurred during this time often seem so farfetched that they belong more in fiction than reality - but unfortunately, did happen in reality. So when I had to opportunity to read an ARC of this book (thank you NetGalley and all involved), I jumped on it.
I loved how much information I learned from this book, a lot of things I didn't already know. I love the psychology aspect, it was always an interesting topic - so reading about the analyses of some of the major players in the Nazi party during the Nuremburg trials was definitely keeping me turning the pages. To add to that, you realize how thorough Dr. Kelley was with his analyses and methods and it really draws you into the story.
Overall, this was a well written book that keeps the readers interest. There's no part where I found my mind wandering, no moments where you realize you're reading the same paragraph over again - things you tend to do when the content is, well...boring. This was all very fascinating and I really enjoyed reading this book. I very much recommend giving this book a go, if you need that push over the fence on adding it to your TBR.
