Cupps' writing is vivid, bringing the characters to life. I enjoyed the suspenseful narrative and the unexpected turns. The book is well-structured, and the pacing is perfect. I liked the complex characters and the engaging storyline. Overall, it's a great read for fans of mystery and suspense. Cupps' writing style is engaging and polished.

A great start to this one but sadly i lost interest half way through.
Secrets and twists just not enough to keep me engaged.
I found myself picking up and putting down several times and flicked through to the end.
Sorry for the negative review.

Let me start this review by saying thank you. Thank you for the re-introduction to stories in the thriller genre, I had forgotten how much I love a great thriller, and this book is just that- a great thriller! A story that will keep you guessing who done it and introduce you to many awesome characters. Afterall, a good thriller is only as good as its characters. I will say that from page 1 I was vested and anyone who likes a great story will also be. If you like Colleen Hoover, then you will love this book. Based on the untruths that we overlook when it comes to love, this book will open your eyes and teach you a lesson about letting things slide in a relationship because it’s easier than confronting the cold hard truth. And always those little deceits will almost unequivocally lead to bigger and deadlier untruths. This novel will lead you down the rabbit hole and show you how easy it is to become entangled with an abusive spouse and where all that anger will lead. What lengths would you go through to get away and once you get away, how long will it be before they find you? This novel will make you second guess every relationship you have ever been in and probably any in the future too if you are smart. Regardless, you will never guess the ending no matter how hard you try. Diving into a raging crescendo, the author takes her readers into the surprising and heartbreaking crescendo with no thoughts to their raging emotions. This book shows that the author has come full circle and if you liked “sweet little lies” then you are going to love this story as well. Enjoy!

I initially felt like this was going to be twisted but by the end I feel like it is a bit meh. I did enjoy it don't get me wrong but I wouldn't say that it was amazing. It's full of secrets and lies that are easy to unravel and the cohesive treatment feels so real. The characters are naieve and the plot has potential but just missed the mark.

My Review;
Initially, this book drew me in from the beginning, & it kept me reading through to just over half way through, but I found that after this point it became more of a 'chore-read', which, naturally, I wanted to finish, to see how it ended, & I am glad I read it, but this deffo isn't a book I would rush out to buy.
Based on a rating of 1-10, where 10 is the highest, I would give this book a rating of 6. I'm not sure I would recommend.

This is a psychological thriller which was an enjoyable read.
Whitley is swept of her feet by Roman (who appears to be a very wealthy man) when he stops in at the shoe shop where she worked. Was it an accidental meeting or a contrived one?
After a short romance, they get married but Whitley soon realises that Roman is not the man he portrays to be. She has always wanted to apply to Yale for her Masters and Roman promises her this but suggests she come to work for him at his office for a year before going to Yale.
Whitley has been warned by Roman’s previous secretary and when she is approached by an FBI agent and Roman finds the agents business card, Whitley needs to get away from him. She hasn’t seen her brother in 11 years since they both were put into foster care following the accidental death of their parents, or was it? Can Billy help her, can she trust him?
This book was a page turner for me. Lots of twists and turns.
I would recommend this book.

Now You See Me by Leah Cupps is the kind of thriller that demands your full attention. From the very first chapter, I felt like I’d been quietly ushered into a room where something terrible had already happened—and I had to figure it out before it happened again. The tension is palpable, the atmosphere tightly wound, and the sense of dread builds with every page.
This isn’t just a mystery with surface-level suspense. What makes it so gripping is how real it feels. At the heart of the story is Whitley, whose descent into an abusive relationship is portrayed with unsettling accuracy. The manipulation, the gaslighting, the gradual erosion of her confidence—it all creeps in with such believability that you’re not just reading about it, you feel it. I was constantly worried for her, watching the red flags pile up and hoping she’d see what I could see.
Leah Cupps does a brilliant job keeping the narrative sharp and immersive. There are twists—so many, in fact, that I had to slow down just to absorb them properly. Each revelation adds another layer to the story, shifting your perspective and keeping you guessing until the very last chapter. Her pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow in the best way, allowing the suspense to simmer before it finally boils over.
That said, there was one thing that pulled me out of the experience slightly. A few secondary characters felt hastily concluded—after so much buildup, I was hoping for more satisfying resolutions.
For readers who like:
-Domestic thrillers
-Slow-burn suspense
-Multiple twists and reveals
Final Verdict
Now You See Me is an intense ride through manipulation, fear, and resilience, told with clarity and care. While I had a few qualms with the resolution, I can’t deny how completely it pulled me in. If you like your thrillers personal and haunting, this one belongs on your list.
Grateful to NetGalley, Inkubator Books and Leah Cupps for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

This was everything that I was looking for in a psychological thriller novel, it uses the overall genre perfectly and enjoyed the way this used the plot in a strong way. The characters were so well written and enjoyed the overall feel that I was looking for. Leah Cupps has a strong writing style and am excited to read more from the author. Everything worked well overall and enjoyed the way the story ended.

Twisty tale of secrets and lies, of being vulnerable and predators. A good amount of tension building even though you will likely guess most of what is going on. The end is an interesting twist.

For the most part, Now You See Me is an engaging read, with a frighteningly realistic abusive relationship that builds gradually--from the gaslighting and cruel remarks to the more overt forms of abuse. I couldn't put the book down, I was so worried about Whitley! The pacing was a little slow but the descriptive writing more than made up for it.
I'm knocking off a star because of two reasons. One: I disliked how a few of the secondary characters' stories were wrapped up. Two: I think the ending, though a shocking twist, goes against what I thought the story was trying to convey.

oh this book hooked me in and made me take a seat until id finished it. haha and don't you love a thriller that does that? i don't want to give too much away as the twists and things uncovered in this book are best when you turn those pages and read it yourself.
so much tension is in these pages. and you are almost right there inside it looking for clues, waiting for moments that you know are coming and so the unease for the reader grows with the characters involved.
there is way more going on then you assume going in.
there is way more to come. and so i was flipping pages sometimes faster than i should and had to stop myself to take in the word properly!
and then i just had a great time right until the end being guided through all the twists by Leah's great writing and pacing.

I absolutely loved this!! You know it’s an extraordinary story, when you don’t want it to end… BRILLIANTLY DONE!!… I’m actually envious of anyone who is about to start the incredible journey of reading this amazing book!
It really was jaw-dropping and left me speechless. I don’t know how any review I will write can do this book justice… A definite five star read.
