This book, which is part of a series focused on health, is a very practical read for young readers in late elementary through early middle school. I find it useful that it teaches the reader how to name what they are feeling, along with some tools for dealing with emotions. I liked that the book includes tips for setting goals, as well as how to be a good listener, and planning healthy actions to take when upset.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

One of a set of six books that approach different sides of the wider health picture, this looks at naming, responding to and being alert about our emotions. I found it a touch too woolly for me, but then I certainly grew up in an age when this kind of content was not available for this age audience, rightly or wrongly. My rating reflects its general readability and the use and importance I consider it to have in 2025 and beyond.
