This book is obviously written by someone that knows anxiety and also knows what to say to help others. It is written from a Christian point of view, using verses from the Bible and then has personal thoughts/stories associated with the verse.

It is a beautifully written, and a wonderful tool to calm an anxious mind. When life is overwhelming, these daily verses and thoughts can be a healing balm. I have been searching for something to help me and I have found it in this book. I will be reading this often in the future. It actually feels like a caring friend is talking to me.

A sincere thank you to Penguin Random House Christian Publishing | WaterBrook and NetGalley for giving me the blessing of reading the advance reader copy, with no obligation to write a review. My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC.

Just what I needed and just when I needed it!! "A Verse a Day for the Anxious Soul," by Becky Keife is truly amazing and sadly is needed more now than ever. I started yesterday upon approval and the message was right on time.

I flipped through to see some of the other days and I'm giddy over what words of encouragement I can look forward to, when life and its uncertain circumstances rears its head alongside my handy Bible.

I have already told my closest friends about this amazing work to help them navigate life as well. Anyone that works in stressful fields or have trying personal lives this book can help you remember the words of our Father. The reminder that He will never leave us, nor forsake us❣️❣️ The thought is so refreshing❣️🙌🏽

Thanks Ms. Keife, Netgally, and Penguin Random House Christian Publishing for another great tool to help me follow my faith journey for this ARC in exchange for my unbaised and honest review.

I enjoyed reading this and it felt like a breath of fresh air and I loved that Becky kept her story personal but merged it so well too.

This book was like a soft little exhale in the middle of chaos. Each page felt calming and intentional, with just enough encouragement to make me pause and breathe. I loved how it wasn’t trying to be overly preachy or complicated. It was simple, real, and comforting, which is exactly what I needed. Some of the entries did start to feel a bit repetitive, but honestly that made it easy to revisit on tougher days. If your brain’s been running on overdrive and you need something gentle to ground you, this is such a comforting read to keep on your nightstand.

If you’ve ever felt weighed down by anxiety or caught in the swirl of “what ifs,” A Verse a Day for the Anxious Soul is like a gentle hand reaching for yours. In this 100-day devotional, Becky Keife combines Scripture, heartfelt reflections, and practical peace practices to help readers find calm in the chaos and remind them they’re never walking this path alone.

What sets this devotional apart is its authenticity. Becky writes from personal experience with anxiety, and her words feel like they come from a friend who truly understands the racing thoughts, the tight chest, and the exhaustion that worry brings. Each daily entry pairs a Bible verse with a reflection that speaks life and truth without an ounce of shame or pressure to “just get over it.”

I especially loved the inclusion of breath prayers and grounding exercises, which make the book as practical as it is comforting. Simple rhythms like “Inhale Truth, Exhale Trust” invite peace into anxious moments and offer tools that can be used anywhere—whether in the middle of a sleepless night or a stressful day.

This book is more than a devotional—it’s a lifeline for the anxious heart. It reminds readers that peace is possible, that God’s presence is steady, and that anxiety doesn’t have to have the final say.

If you struggle with anxiety, or if you want to encourage someone who does, A Verse a Day for the Anxious Soul is a resource that will meet you where you are and walk with you toward the calm your heart has been craving.

This book came to me at exactly the right moment. While reading Becky’s words, I began to feel like I wasn’t alone in this struggle and encouraged that hope lies ahead of me. Truth from God’s Word included in this devotional was understandable and enlightening. I also appreciated Becky’s real world wisdom and experience.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
