The idea of there being no books is truly a distressing thought! Little Benjamin showcases this well.

Pleasant book about getting through Covid, or the purple dot disease in this story, while still able to get and read real books. A good story, well told, and I hope it helps out the poor kids who were so messed with during the lockdowns. In LA, the library would still check out books, if you reserved them online, they sent them to the local library, and you could pick up your books in the outside courtyard, given to you by a duly masked library official. They didn't prevent me from reading and I am glad the insects in the book were smarter than the politicians who tried to pull a Fahrenheit 451, but failed. Thank and hail the bugs!

No Books For Benjamin?

This book is what is needed for children who have gone through the pandemic and afterwards to help them understand the events and how our lives have changed. It explains the need for libraries and books, but also social needs, and health regulations.

This was an adorable story about a purple worm and his friends helping the local library to continue to share the joy of reading with the community in the midst of a pandemic.
My 4 year old loved Benjamin, the purple worm. As an avid reader, he understood the sadness around not having any new books to read!
Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

No Books for Benjamin is a valuable book for kids to read. I finished this with my little cousin and I could tell the story gave her a new perspective on the pandemic and her own love of reading. Seeing Benjamin the Bookworm collaborate with friends to give everyone access to books can certainly enlighten young readers as to the strength of unity while making it easy to digest. Plus, the illustrations were done in the perfect style. With pastel colors and crayon-like strokes, the drawings brought the story to life.
Thank you to NetGalley and RG de Rouen for providing this ARC!

Such a cute book! Both my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read that includes sweet illustrations, a library setting, and a lovable purple character.
