This was TOTALLY AMAZING!

Suspend any disbelief you might be inclined to carry with you into the world of Robin Hood, and enjoy this beautifully imagined tale of a modern girl caught away to life in Nottingham in the 12th century.
I read this in about a day, simply because I NEEDED to know how it would turn out. It was so fun to wait for the a-ha! moments to drop for the main character Mariah as she tries to avoid being re-named Marian (!) and interacts with an unforgettable young... butcher?
Everything about it just felt so easy to fall in line with, in spite of the fantasy-laden setup. The story was delicious, and well worth staying up a bit late for!

This story is such a fun take on the classic Robin Hood story! I throughly enjoyed "watching" Mariah develop in to the Maid Marian we all know and having a front row seat to her and Robin's blossoming love. I enjoyed reading the familiar story combined with new twists and turns. While, I could anticipate the ending, I still loved reading about Marian and Robin.

I loved this book so much! Sian’s first in the series was such a fun and original take that I honestly didn’t know how the next one could follow it up—though it didn’t need to top it, really. But then came this Robin Hood-inspired story, and I’m so happy to say it was just as enjoyable. I had the best time reading it from start to finish.

Mariah and Robin were seriously adorable, and I loved how their story played with the legends in fresh, unexpected ways. The twists were fun, the chemistry was great, and it just hit all the right notes. I’ve been deep in a reading slump lately, and I have a feeling this book might’ve pulled me out of it. That alone makes it a win for me.

This is my first time reading a novel by Sian Bessey and I must say that I am very impressed with her work! I think anyone who enjoys historical fiction and dual timeline novels will indeed enjoy it. I have to admit I was enjoying every page of this novel! You have to admide the strengh of the main character Mariah afrer she is thrusted away from her modern day life and dumped into the life and times of Robin Hood. Overall this book was a very fun abd enjoyable read.

I received an arc copy from Netgalley and all opinions are of my own.

A wonderful book that will keep you reading
This is Sian Bessey at her best. Sian takes the Robin Hood story and puts a new twist on it. The characters are strong and engaging. Mariah enters a costume shop only to find herself whisk back to the time of Robin Hood where she becomes known by the name of Marian. Her training as a sous chef allows her to work and live in the Sheriff of Nottingham’s castle. She has a chance meeting with Robin Hood that slowly changes everything in her new life including revealing her skill with a bow. The choices Marion makes soon lead to her hiding as an outlaw in Sherwood Forest along her friend Ellen, Robin Hood, and his band. But life is full of choices and still has difficult choices are awaiting her. A wonderful book. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy. This is my review and all thoughts are my own.
