Trust No One by Roger Stelljes As the book is Book 8 in Agent Tori Hunter Series, felt a bit lost at times with the backstories of the characters. A good read and an engaging crime thriller. Will be looking into the series backlist to catch up on the characters and their solved cases.
Thank you to the author, Bookouture, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

I found this latest book in the Tori Hunter Series, a rollercoaster of twists and turns
It had a flowing plot that I enjoyed reading. I recommend this author books.
Given arc by Net Galley and Bookouture.

I like this series of books. Stand alone or read in order. The characters keep the story moving quickly. From a talented author, this book keeps the reader guessing. What is happening? Who are the criminals? Who are the murdered
Victims? The main character is a college professor detective, former law enforcement…this makes for a dynamic story. Enjoy. Thanks Netgalley

Detective Will Braddock past has come back to haunt him and it’s up to him and former FBI agent Tori Hunter to solve the old crime. They travel from Minnesota to Ohio and New York City to find the answers. I really enjoyed this book and this series and look forward to more.

Trust No One (Agent Tori Hunter Book 8) by Roger Stelljes has an intriguing setup: a family that may have been involved in something sinister leaves behind a haunting scene filled with blood and unanswered questions.
However, while the initial concept drew me in, the story didn't come together for me. There were many characters to keep track of, who was involved with whom, previous plots, and backstory that were difficult (even though I've read other books in this series). The backstory involving Braddock's past adds some tension, but sometimes the pacing slows down the investigation's momentum.
Overall, Trust No One is a good read, especially if you enjoy crime thrillers. I would suggest starting from Book 1 so you aren't lost with the characters or previous storylines.

I have loved this series forever this latest book doesn't disappoint. Tori and Braddock are quite the couple. Both have lot of baggage and worked hard to get to were they are. This story gives you a look at Braddocks past and how he has been tormented by it. We travel from Minnesota to Ohio and then NY were we get alot at Braddocks past and Toris. I could nit put it down. Excellent read and while having read earlier books will give you background, this can be a standalone

a totally addictive read, i love the crime thriller books that you get to know the plot and characters in equal measure and come to love them both, and then come to love them more so because you love the characters so much and are even more invested.
and this one packs the punches in all the right places in both emotions and thrills.
for this book we once again get personal for our detectives. and this time its going to test loyalties.
the pair are called to a horrific case. a victim who sends shivers through Will's veins as he knows the name. and its one that caused pain in his own past. even more is at stake now. he doesn't want to involve Tori but its too late for that. ha, good luck with that do you know Tori?
the deeper we get the darker things get. who can be trusted. who is the killer and are they connected to one of their own?
and what is the killers vendetta or motive here?
a brilliant read. smart, focused and totally on point with the pacing from start to finish. the mixture of emotional narrative and action was on point. getting to know and feel more for the characters was again top notch story telling.
you are invested in the plot and what happened and why to the family and then you are invested in our duo who lead the way all the way through the book. Tori is awesome to come back to each time.

A new case for this dynamic duo, and it's one to write home about. At least, it seems to be a new case—until Will hears who one of the victims is, and it's as if the ground disappears from under his feet. It’s connected to his past, and he feels it's something he must resolve on his own. He doesn't want to involve Tori.
However, Tori is no fool, and to say the least, she’s not happy about it...
Bit by bit, we learn the full story, and it becomes increasingly clear just what kind of hornet’s nest Tori and Will have stumbled into. Who can they trust, and who is lying in wait to trap them?
It becomes a race against time, because the criminals are also afraid the net is closing in, and they need to act quickly.
As bullets fly around them, Will and Tori give it everything they’ve got.
The author has created some very interesting characters for this book. The villains were truly uber evil, and the good guys were brave and ready to help wherever they could.
At one point, I was holding my breath—this time not so much from the suspense itself, but because of Tori’s reaction. I wanted to scream at her: “Tori, you can’t be serious…!!!”
This book is the perfect combination of suspense, investigation, and action. I found it to be a complex story that demands your full attention. Buckle up and enjoy! 5 stars.
Thank you.
