As a kid, I loved Rainbow Fish books so being able to read them to my own children is so amazing. This was such a sweet little book and definitely brough a lot of nostalgia for me. The colors, as always, were beautiful! The storyline was fun and just cute!

You just can't go wrong with a classic. Rainbow fish is up to new adventures that teach children compassion, friendship dynamics and cooperation. This is a short shorty but it does pack a good punch line. Definitely a recommended read for any young child.

I still remember reading the Rainbow Fish when I was a kid and this is definitely a book that I would buy for my nieces. It is a short story, but has a very important message, especially poignant given current events. It reminds us to not make assumptions about others, the importance of communication and that it is beneficial for all to work together for peace.

Thank you NetGalley and Marcus Pfister for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I read this to my four-year-olds on our quest to read 1,000 unique books before kindergarten. They have read the original Rainbow Fish book so the concept and characters were familiar. The liked looking for the rainbow scale on the fish and we recalled our memories on what happened in the first.

The concept of the whale being scary and new at first, but then realizing he was actually trying to be friendly was cute. My toddlers loved it and it was a great balance of pages, sentences, and artwork for their age range (and lower).

Thank you for allowing me to review your work.

As a long-time fan of the Rainbow Fish series, this one was great. My kids and I loved the lesson of not judging someone's actions too soon and being inclusive. Thank you to Net Galley for the early copy to review.

Rainbow Fish is always great and here is another wonderful tale of bravery and showing how to apologize and keep peace. Fish come in all sizes and have to share the ocean alike, just like people and Earth.

This is a short and sweet story about how to communicate to overcome misunderstandings. I think it is a great way for little kids to understand the importance of misjudging others and the outcomes that can come from it. The illustrations are bright and colorful.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a cute story with gorgeous illustrations. I love the theme of trying to see things through someone else's eyes - especially if they're different from you.

Thank you, Netgalley for the ARC!

Rainbow Fish Makes Peace will be good for children and adults alike who have a hard time overthinking things. I liked how the rainbow fish was brave enough to talk to the whale. The colours and illustrations are beautiful!

This is a beautiful Rainbow Fish book as always, with the signature beautiful colors and illustrations. In this edition, rainbow fish mediates a misunderstanding between a whale who newly found itself in the community, and those whoโ€™ve been in the community for a while. Misunderstanding started to breed malcontent, and the other fish were fearful of the whale due to its size and its consumption of food. Rainbow fish takes the initiative to speak to the whale and clear up the confusion, and together they all move forward.

This new board book adaptation of the 1998 Rainbow Fish and the Big Blue Whale is delightful. In the story, a big blue whale comes to the reef and the fish become anxious and scared. a misunderstanding leads to unhappy and hungry sea creatures. In this new simplified story, little ones will learn the importance of communication to avoid fights. Even the new title emphasizes the main concept. The book uses the most colorful illustrations from the original. school ager readers will love the longer version of the story, but this version is perfect for little listeners. I have a copy of the original book and which my three year old son enjoys, but he liked this version even more.

Short, sweet, and striking. I thought this was a very cute story of Rainbow Fish. I wanted to read because I loved Rainbow Fish when I was a child and did not know that new books were still being made. I was struck by the nostalgia of the illustrations. I like that it doesn't feel like the art has been too modernized. Rainbow Fish is the consistency I need in my life. This would be a great bed time story to teach children about acceptance and getting along with others! I would gift to a friend or buy for a future child. Hard to go wrong with Rainbow Fish!

Rainbow Fish Makes Peace is an adorable story geared toward children ages 0โ€“3, featuring a rainbow fish with glimmering scales who helps teach an important lesson: not to judge others based on appearances. Through simple language and storytelling, young readers are introduced to themes of kindness, empathy, and understanding. The beautiful ocean illustrations are rich with color and detail, sure to capture any childโ€™s attention.

I think this picture book is perfect for young children and perfect to spark the conversation of judging others and when it's okay/not okay to do.

I enjoyed the message of this short story, that being communication and compromise. However I did find the writing to be extremely disjointed and didnโ€™t flow well. The illustrations were gorgeous though- and those alone will keep a young child engaged.

This is a sweet story about friendship. The fish and the whale have a misunderstanding which initially results in fighting, but later they are able to resolve their issues.

This is a great choice for children to learn how to navigate their friendships!

I read this with my 3-year-old and we both enjoyed it! It had the beautiful colors and illustrations that The Rainbow Fish is known for and a good message. The little fish learned about not assuming someoneโ€™s intentions. Itโ€™s on the short side, but itโ€™s perfect for preschool-aged children!
