Disappointingly short and undeveloped. I understand this is a kids book but it lacks the charm and life lessons of the original rainbow fish.

Very cute! Given that this will be a board book, I wish that it had fewer words on each page. I think adding a few more pages with different illustrations would help keep the young intended audience more interested in the story. Either way, this is a very short and sweet little book! It tells an entire story extremely quickly, which is definitely impressive.

Rainbow Fish Makes Peace is a beautifully illustrated children’s book that instantly captures young readers’ attention with its vibrant colors. The story gently teaches themes of overcoming misunderstandings, showing bravery, and finding peace all in a way that’s easy for little ones to understand. I can’t wait to share this heartwarming short story with my grandchildren.

I remember reading the original Rainbow Fish book growing up, so when I saw this one, I knew I had to read it!
Rainbow Fish Makes Peace is a brief book, but like the Rainbow Fish of my childhood, contains beautiful illustrations and an important core message. In this edition, the story promotes understanding and the importance of not making assumptions about others. Our assumptions may not always be correct, and can lead to deeply hurting and misunderstanding those around us.
This is a great book with a wonderfully positive message, perfect for any young reader (or parent who might want to share a little piece of their childhood with their favorite young reader!)

Rainbow Fish Makes Peace is about not making assumptions and working through misunderstandings. It is a very brief book, so it would be good as a read aloud for young kids or as a solo read for early readers. I was actually surprised with its brevity and would have appreciated more to the wrap up/conclusion. Per usual, the rainbow fish art is beautiful.

Who doesn’t love Rainbow Fish? This glittering fish has truly stood the test of time! My child and I both enjoyed Rainbow Fish Makes Peace, although I have to admit, it was my idea—nostalgia for the original drew me in. I’m so glad we added this beautiful book to our collection; it’s just as aesthetically pleasing as the first one, with stunning illustrations that capture the magic and shimmer of Rainbow Fish.
The story offers a wonderful positive message about the importance of not making assumptions about others, as it can hurt feelings. It also beautifully emphasizes the value of recognizing when you’re wrong, and making amends through genuine kindness and an apology. It’s a meaningful lesson wrapped in a charming, visually captivating package.
This book is a great addition to any young reader’s library and a lovely reminder of the importance of peace and friendship.

I grew up reading these books and I love that I can continue sharing the story with my nephew. This was a great continuation of the series, with beautiful and timeless illustrations.
Rainbow Fish Makes Peace teaches us the important lesson of not making assumptions about others who may seem different than us. If we take a moment to get to know one another, we learn that we have more in common than differences.
