First book by this author and definitely won’t be my last! Quick and fun read - I was so sure I had everything figured out in the beginning but had it all wrong with twists I never expected

I have to admit I struggled to get into this book but overall it ended up surprising me. It was creepy but felt drawn out.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc!

Did not finish this book.
I tried on numerous attempts to get into reading this novel and failed. Captivating opening chapter. Sadly i cant get pass chapter two. Maybe its the insert from the chat forum that doesn't do it for me or the fact that i find it hard to relate to the female main character. Maybe the audiobook will be better form of medium to read this novel.

Some parts felt a bit rambly and unnecessary for me. This was super creepy and interesting though. I really liked the idea but it took a bit of time to finally get into it. I do wish it had a different title since tons of other books have the same title but I would say it was a fitting title! Super fun and I loved all of the twists!!! The plot was super good!!

I loved the first 20% and the last 20%. The middle was kind of boring. It felt drawn out. The plot was chef’s kiss though and the twist was great!

The Stranger Inside is a tense and gripping psychological thriller that had me hooked right from the start. The writing creates a dark, unsettling atmosphere and builds the suspense brilliantly, keeping me on edge and eager to know what would happen next. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the twist came and completely surprised me in the best way.
I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down. It’s the kind of story that stays with you after finishing, and I can’t wait to read more from this author. I’ll be recommending it to all thriller lovers who enjoy twists, secrets, and plenty of tension. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this great book.

This book was fantastic! I couldn't get enough! I was hooked from the first page, and all the way to the last. It was filled with so many twists and turns, I'm surprised I don't have whiplash! Haha! I loved every moment of this story, and I highly urge other thriller readers to check this one out!

All Zoe wanted was to help a woman escape her abusive husband, but her good intentions turned into a bloody nightmare.

Author Ruth Harrow takes us on a wild ride, with characters that will both restore your faith in humanly and others that will have you questioning everyone in your life. This story will keep you flipping pages well into the night, wanting to find out what is actually going on and who is really manipulating who.. The ending will have you spinning with all the twists and turns this story takes, but I promise it's a good spin, one I didn't see coming.

This story will be well liked by readers looking for a quick and easy thriller, a story about deception and how far one will go to get what they want, although you may rethink online forums from now on. Highly recommend!

First time reading this authors books and I enjoyed it. Well thought out plot, with some twists. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

The premise of this was interesting and certainly kept me enthralled guessing what was going to happen. It just felt like too much though. I think if one or two of the plot points were removed it would feel much more realistic, however it just resulted in the story being quite over the top and almost comical, more a black comedy than thriller

This is a story about survival, deception, and the thin line between protector and prey. This is a chilling, slow-burning psychological thriller that explores the terrifying consequences of misplaced trust and the haunting echoes of trauma. It was easy to read, hard to put down and had good writing.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley.

Quite enjoyed this one! It was easy to read, hard to put down and had good writing. I just felt a bit let down by the ending, otherwise I would have rated it higher. Will definitely check out more of this authors work. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

The Stranger Inside is a typical domestic and psychological thriller with shady and unlikable characters full of secrets and a hidden agenda.
I tend to enjoy this kind of thriller, so I was up for it.
I thought the writing was alright, enganging enough and the characters were believable enough, too.
However, this was quite predictable. For hardcore thriller readers, this book might not surprise or shock you at all.
So, I'd recommend it mostly to readers who are just beginning to read thrillers and enjoy this tpye of tropes.

Zoe has recently left her abusive relationship, harboring some secrets and getting her life back on track. She has become a little obsessive with an online forum where she sees another woman crying out for help to escape a similar situation.
Lisa needs to leave her husband Greg and Zoe decides to help. Lisa moves in with Zoe and this is meant to be temporary but things soon take a turn.
Greg js very angry that Zoe has interfered and is manipulating people and situations to make himself look like a good guy.
With secrets from all directions, this is a recipe for disaster.

I enjoyed this story and it kept me interested throughout. I did start to find some aspects a little predictable but there were also some twists I didn't see coming. The characters each had their own flaws which made them slightly unlikable, however I feel like this made the book even better as I wanted to see what happened to each person and how it all played out.

I rated this 3 stars as it wasn't as intense as other thrillers I have read. I would recommend this to others and I will be looking out for more books by Ruth Harrow.

The Stranger Inside is absolutely addictive! The first half takes its time, letting us get to know the characters and their backgrounds, which makes the second half hit even harder. Once the pace picks up, the twists come fast and furious, and I was completely hooked. The author’s attention to meticulous detail is incredible so many threads loop back perfectly by the end.

Ruth Harrow’s wit also shines through her humor is sharp, sarcastic, and just the right balance for this type of suspense. I was mind-blown by this story. I don’t want to give anything away, but just know: you never truly know a person.

A twisty, suspenseful, and shocking read definitely a 5-star thriller! I’m so grateful to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the advance copy.

The Stranger Inside becomes highly addictive as the plot progresses. The first half is a little bit slower as we get to see the characters develop and know there backgrounds. The second half speeds up like lightning and the twists just keep coming.

The Stranger Inside was an addictive read, once I started it, I didn’t want to put it down.
The first half was somewhat slow-paced, as it focused on character development and scene setting. However, once the story progressed, the plot twists became engaging. Fans of Freida McFadden's work may particularly enjoy this book.

The author thought out every meticulous detail. There were so many instances that all looped back around to each other in the end.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and am grateful for the chance to read it early.
Thank you NetGalley and Inkubator books for the advance copy.

After reading The Guilty Girl and The Stranger Inside, I can wholeheartedly say that Ruth Harrow is one of my favorites! Her thrillers are phenomenal! If you like Freida McFadden, you'd absolutely love Ruth Harrow! She packs in the twists in a way that isn't overwhelming but perfectly mind-blowing and jaw-dropping. And just when we think the ride is slowing down, the suspense picks up, and by the end, you're left completely floored! Not to mention, she adds humor, but in a witty, sarcastic way that is just right for these novels.
This book, in particular, had me completely mind-blown. I don't want to go in-depth because I'm afraid I'll give it all away, but just know you never truly know a person. Twisty, suspenseful, shocking! Loved this one! 5 stars!
Thank you NetGalley, Inkubator Books, and Ruth Harrow for this ARC!

I couldn’t stop reading once I started. The story felt alive, the characters had real depth, and the tension built so naturally that I kept telling myself “just one more chapter.” This is the kind of book that stays with you long after you finish.
