I cared about what was happening with Anju, she was a realistic main character and enjyoed the rest of the characters in this. I was invested in what was going on and was hooked from start to finish. I enjoyed getting into Trinidad's history in this book and was glad it was so well done and written. Shani Mootoo wrote this so well and am excited to read more.
