a fizz pop of a book that i really enjoyed my time reading.
the book takes us to our character Catherine who lives a life she loves and that is a life of the luxurious things in life. she does this of course via her parents purses. this high maintenance life is not going down well with her parents and is going too far for them so they decide to shut said purses. for good. this leads Catherine to need to find her own way, and that means a way of making money, like now would be good. so Catherine take a PR job at a California sparkling wine company offered to her by a family friend. there she must work with the seemingly cynical and hard president of the company Chris. hes likes things done his way, the proper and only way as he sees it. and isn't liking the ideas or splash of annoying sparkle Catherine is bringing to things. shes got to play it tough and does so with some really compelling grit mixed with an ever present air of glamour about her. she is bold but vulnerable and i really enjoyed getting into her character. she herself had me hooked and wanting to read more. Chris too is complex and hides often behind the walls. hes got to be professional and hes got to be all things to this businesses. so when someone like Catherine challenges his beliefs in both business and heart it take him by surprise and at first it doesn't feel comfortable.
there attraction and interactions is cute, feisty, banterish and bold just like the both of them. but with time and being together it evolves into something more, something gentle more tender and ever deeper still.
travelling together across countries and regions the pair have a lot to prove especially Catherine who wants to show she is not a surface level privileged fluff girl. but a determined businesses woman with knowledge and skills.
can Catherine find herself, allow others to see her and respect her. and can she find all those things with love too?
Caroline did such a fantastic job of scene setting throughout this book. i was both captured and jealous of the scenes and locations she bought to life for us. those French vineyards, yes please. and Caroline also does the same with her creation of these characters. they are lifted and bought to life off the pages for us readers. i was both invested and rooting for them.
i thoroughly enjoyed this book and would love to read more from this author very soon indeed. it took me away to wonderful place, many i wont ever dream of getting to myself but this little snippet felt like i was out there, that sun on my face those views around me.

The Champagne Crush by Caroline O’Connell is a captivating slow-burn romance filled with sparkling chemistry, witty banter, and glamorous settings. Catherine and Chris’s journey from clashing partners to something deeper is both heartfelt and engaging. I enjoyed this charming and romantic story and rated it five stars.
