I definitely requested this audiobook accidentally thinking it was Lauren Asher's latest Lakefront Billionaires installment, but rediscovering this book was actually a pleasant surprised.
This is definitely my favorite installment in the Lakefront Billionaires series so far. The story grabs the reader's attention right from the start and keeps them engaged throughout.
The tension between our main characters is palpable and the evolution of their relationship leaves the reader on the edge of their seat, desperate to keep turning each page!
It's a romance like this that keeps me invested in this genre and in Lauren Asher as an author. Highly recommend!
Rating: 4.5/5 stars

I absolutely loved *Love Redesigned*—it’s that slow‑burn, small‑town romance that feels both cozy and emotionally grounded, thanks to Lauren Asher’s thoughtful portrayal of Dahlia’s depression and anxiety, and her very personal decision not to have children after discovering a genetic concern she wasn’t willing to risk.
Dahlia and Julian’s playful rivalry, deep vulnerability, and healing journeys resonate beautifully, all framed by the renovation of a historic home that mirrors their emotional rebuilding. The pacing occasionally drags, and I sometimes got pulled out of the story, but the emotional honesty, Latino representation, and the warm, electric narration by Noah Pérez and Vanessa Vasquez (seriously, their voices brought every silent moment to life) made both the read and listen truly unforgettable (4 ★ for the book, 5 ★ for the audiobook).
Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape for ARC in exchange for review.

Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher was such a sweet, heart warming romance. The kind that pulls you in and makes you secretly wish it could be your own one day. 🥹 The way Julian loves Dahlia, not just with his words but with his actions, was so refreshing. And the narration was perfection. Noah B. Perez & Vanessa Vasquez brought these characters to life so effortlessly, I didn’t want it to end 💜

I’ve read multiple Lauren Asher book, and the dreamland series is still my favourite. But I’ve still enjoyed this audiobook. The narrators are perfect and display the characters so well.
The story follows julian and Dahlia. They have a lot of history going back until their younger years.
Dahlia moved away to the big city, but years later moved back again after struggles in her marriage. Only to find out Julian still has feelings for her. Julian is completely devoted to her. And goes to great lengths to rebuild the bond and trust they had so many years ago.
“ you have to change yourself to fit someone’s ideal version of you, then that’s not love.”

Love Redesigned, book 1 in the Lakefront Billionaires series, is definitely a book worth adding to your TBR. A super cute (don’t worry there is some spicy) second chance story about childhood rivals Julian and Dahlia.
Dahlia returns to her hometown to recollect herself after her life in California takes an unexpected turn. Shortly after Dahlia arrives home she is run into by none other than Julian, who came home from college in California after his father passed to help his mother and run the family business. Old rivalry and hurt feelings pick up where they left off.
The physical book includes translations on the pages where Spanish is spoken; great addition that I have not yet seen in a book.
Listened to the auto book of Love Redesigned; absolutely fantastic job done by the narrators. Book is done in a duet style and really brings the story to life.
Thank you to Lauren Asher, Dreamscape Select and NetGalley for the chance to listen to the auto book.

Julian and Dahlia have been childhood rivals for as long as they can remember, so neither is exactly thrilled when Dahlia returns to town. But circumstances force them to put old grudges aside and work together and before long, sparks start flying again. I loved their sharp, playful banter and watching them slowly uncover the truth about each other’s feelings, both then and now. Narrators Noah B. Perez and Vanessa Vasquez were absolute perfection as Julian and Dahlia, capturing their dynamic flawlessly and making the story even more engaging. If you’re a fan of witty banter and heartfelt second chance romances, this is a must listen!

4.5 stars rounded up!
I read this book 2 years ago and was so excited to do it again with the ALC! This audio is rereleasing Aug 19 on the same day as Love Arranged (Book 3)
This one was just as perfect on audio! Narrated by Noah Perez & Vanessa Vasquez. I absolutely loved this one. Childhood rivals to lovers & this was full of all the great banter! Obsessed with Dahlia & Julian! Their story, the chemistry, and spice 🔥 I loved that this was focused around family and overcoming the past. Truly such a great start to this series and I’m so excited for more!
Thank you NetGalley for this Listener Copy!

I loved this audiobook! However, I knew it would be great because I love all of Lauren Asher’s books. Just like everything she writes, I appreciate she touches upon mental health topics. The romance was believable to me because they know each other for a while and they fell for each other because of their personalities not just looks. I also liked the music writing storyline as well. Both narrators were fantastic too!

Childhood friends turn rivals then eventually lovers. This is a slow burn, while tension builds, The banter between Dahlia and Julian had me kicking my feet.

Loved this book the first time and was just as enjoyable as a reread (ALC on the reread - new distributor).
If I'm remembering correctly, you meet Julian in the Dreamland Billionaire series and are not quite sure about him in the last book of that series, but it works as a great introduction to Lake Wisteria and the Lakefront Billionaires.
Julian and Dalia's families are so intertwined Lauren Asher takes you on an emotional whirlwind.
🎧 Noah B Perez is one of my fav narrators, and Vanessa Vasquez did a great job capturing the characters emotions. I saw that the times were different (about 15 min), but not sure what was changed from the original, but nothing jumped out.

I've said it once, I'll say it again....
Small town x billionaire is my FAVOURITE trope combo of 2023. So many of my favourite authors have adopted this trope combo this year and I am absolutely living for it!
Dahlia and Julian did not disappoint. Growing up they were like frenimies. They considered themselves rivals, but they seemed to adore each other as much as the drove one another crazy. They were constantly playing and competing.
Their mothers are best friends and therefore they were forced to spend time together growing up. But Dahlia has been away and has only returned home to heal after her life imploded.
While Dahlia is working on improving her mental health, Julian's mom convinces him to initiate a project for him and Dahlia to work on together to help her find her passion for design again. Along the way, Julian realizes he never got over her and he finds himself falling back in love with carpentry and finally dealing with his grief for his father years after his passing.
This book gave us so much emotion, passion, growth, support and love. I absolutely adored every second of it and I cannot wait for book two which I'm thinking is likely going to be a grumpy billionaire, jaded single-dad x nanny romance!

This was such a great read, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
Love Redesigned follows childhood friends and rivals Julian Lopez and Dahlia Muñoz. While their mothers are close friends, the same cannot be said for them. Julian and Dahlia share a contentious past that is complicated by the fact that they shared a kiss in college and Dahlia married one of their mutual friends. Time has passed and circumstances have changed to where Dahlia finds herself back in Lake Wisteria with her sometimes meddling yet loveable family and Julian who has matured and grown even more handsome. An opportunity presents itself for Dahlia and Julian to renovate a historic home together, and they can no longer ignore the spark that underlies the surface level friction they share.
Love Redesigned is the first book in Lauren Asher's Lakefront Billionaires series. This was an excellent read, and I'm really looking forward to continuing the series! The second book, Love Unwritten, is already out, and the third novel, Love Arranged, will be published on 8/19/25.
The audiobook is a fantastic duet narration performed by Noah B. Perez and Vanessa Vasquez. They both do a great job embodying the characters and reading Spanish words and phrases. I know Spanish, so I knew what they were saying and enjoyed the realistic cultural inclusion. The physical book has footnotes to translate the Spanish content, so if you don't know Spanish and really want to know exactly what is being said without having to rely on context clues, the physical or ebook copies may be a better match for you. There are only a few Spanish words and phrases sprinkled throughout any given chapter, so it doesn't make up much of the novel though.
Thank you to Dreamscape Select, NetGalley, and Lauren Asher for the audiobook! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Slow burn
Duet narration - Noah B. Perez & Vanessa Vasquez
Fantastic narration. These two were amazing together. Performing the story and characters perfectly.
A fun listen and cute story. Sort of a second chance as the main characters grew up together had one kiss but it never went further. It is definitely a SLOW burn but getting to the HEA is so worth it.
Dahlia is back in her home town after her tv show wraps and going through a not great break up. She ends up working on a project with Julian her childhood rival/friend. Thoughout the project they get close and finally admit they like each other. Spicy times and fun laughs mixed with deep emotions.
Dahlia as an FMC is great. She is strong and independent. She’s been through so much and still coming out the other side smiling.
Julian is a tad grumpy, but sweet. He fights their attraction but oh my when he gives in it’s goooood! I liked how he took care of Dahlia.
Overall, this is a great book and very well performed. There is parts were they say sentences in Spanish, if you read the book at the same time you can get the translation. It didn’t take away from the enjoyment of the book for me. I highly recommend this series and this author. I will definitely be reading more of her work!

Thanks, Lauren Asher, Dreamscape Select and NetGalley for the audiobook!
Julian Lopez and Dahlia Muñoz have known each other all their lives. Their mothers are best friends. They went to Stanford together. Until a fateful kiss, followed by a tragic loss, sends Dahlia straight into the arms of Julian's roommate. Now, years later, she's back in town after being publicly dumped by her then fiancé and their home renovations TV show won't be renewed. A mess. Cue in the meddling mamás: Julian, now a real estate billionaire, offers (at his mom's behest) a job renovating Dahlia's ultimate dream house. Older feelings will stir new trouble...
I must confess I wasn't too keen on picking this one up because I wasn't too impressed with the Dreamland billionaires (I'm in the minority, I know...) but I was convinced to try the audiobook and I was hooked!
I always say casting is key for audiobooks and it was PERFECTLY done here! Vanessa Vasquez, who's becoming a favorite, IS Dahlia, showcasing her feisty personality as well as her vulnerabilities. She's also a hoot as the meddling Latinx mamás. Noah B. Perez (new to me and I can't forgive myself for taking so long to find him!) is SWOONY as Julian, a man who's been in love with Dahlia since third grade.
It was a joy to listen to this duet performance! I can't wait for Rafa's and Lorenzo's books now!
Rep: Both MCs are Latinx
Possible triggers: mentions of gaslighting, infertility issues, a secondary character has a genetic condition that will lead to losing their sight

I kept hearing about this book and I listened to the audiobook. I couldn't stop listening! This book was narrated by Noah B. Perez and Vanessa Vasquez and they did a phenomenal job. This book is being re-released to retailers the same day that book 3 in the series releases.
This is the story of two childhood rivals Dahlia and Julian. Dahlia was the valedictorian and went to Stanford before having her own design show with her fiancé Oliver. While Julian was the salutatorian and had to drop out of Stanford after his father passed. They haven't seen each other in years until they literally crash into each other on Dahlia's way back into town.
What ensues is a wonderful story of love, forgiveness, and growth. This story made me laugh and swoon. It has the perfect amount of heat for me too. I definitely recommend it!

This was a pretty fun read. I went into this book expecting a solid contemporary romance experience and that's what got. This book didn't blow me away but I enjoyed my time with it. I will say that as far as romance books go this one was a tad too long in my opinion. I liked both of the main characters and the overall story was good. I have heard other readers complain about Lauren's books but so far I've had good luck with them and I hope to continue to do so.
i thin the audio narration by Noah B. Perez and Vanessa Vasquez was great.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Select | Lauren Asher for access to the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Quick Summary: A frenemies redesign romance
My Review: Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher is book #1 in the Lakefront Billionaires series. It was originally released in 2023. The audiobook edition is scheduled for 8/19/25.
About the Book: "Love Redesigned is a steamy small-town romance about two family friends-turned-childhood rivals. It is the first book in the stand-alone Lakefront Billionaires series and has a happy ending."
In My Own Words: Former friends decide to work together on a home renovation project. Close proximity working conditions inevitably bring about a change in their relationship status.
About the Characters/Conflict: Julian, Dahlia, and all of the family circle members were likable and real. I loved how they cared about each other and supported one another. The history between the families, as well as the broken connection between the leads made me appreciate what was really going on in the story. Learning to trust was a huge theme.
About the Audiobook: Love Redesigned was narrated by Noah B. Perez and Vanessa Vasquez. This duo performed well. Their timing, delivery, and tone made this story work. It was very entertaining.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
- Happily Ever After
- Wonderful characters
- Entertaining
- Steamy
-Witty
My Final Say: Julian and Dahlia's story was so believable. The love, the loss, and the grief that they experienced made them easy to relate to. The witty banter, along with the shared playfulness, created a tension that supercharged them both.
The author did a wonderful job of setting up the next story in the series. There were just enough name drops and such to warrant interest.
The nod to mental health was well received.
Other: Readers who enjoy friends to enemies to lovers romances, second chance relationships, and close proximity working stories will like this novel.
