This is my first book that I read from this author and it won’t be the last. I was completely hooked. The story, the characters, the challenges, the betrayal and can’t forget about sexual tension. I’m so in love with Cam & Emery. This world has me wanting more. Definitely will be reading Leave Me Behind next. I didn’t know if I was going to enjoy this book but Omfg it was amazing. Once I started reading I didn’t want to stop. The ending, OMG why, it’s gonna be torture until the next book comes out. Truly a great read and now I have another author that I will always one click on.

Phenomenal. absolute masterpiece. I need the second book more then air!!!! this one will haunt me in all the right ways!!!!! if you loved Leave Me Behind then you will need this one injected into your soul immediately. infinity star read.🫀Cam & Em 🔪

Wow… just wow. If you loved leave me behind you will LOVE this series too. I went through many emotions reading this. Starting with oh yes they are going to hate eachother, now there is tension, to KICKING MY FEET and slapping my hand over my mouth, to being absolutely pissed off, and now crying with my heart heavy in my chest. The chills I got in the last chapter? Chefs kiss Mrs. Moronova. You did it again! 🥹
🌙Enemies to lovers
🌙Touch her and get your ass beat 🌝
🌙I hate you / Bully romance
🌙Past trauma
🌙I’m a monster
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My favorite breed of MMC? A platinum blonde psychopath and Cameron didn’t dissapoint.
From the moment I opened this book, I couldn't put it down. I think that is the beauty of K.M Moronova's writing, it's relentless, addictive, and impossible to escape.
We learn about the Special Forces brutal selection process in this one. It's fascinating and I am desprate to see where this leads. I will be thinking about the cliffhanger for a few days.
🌶🌶🌶

Why?!? Oh my god. I need book 2!
I’ve read enough of KM’s writing to have a vague guess on how she’d end the first book in a duet but that doesn’t make it hurt any less.
Cam, the broken soldier who doesn’t think anyone could genuinely care about him. Emery, the abandoned executioner with a caring nature.
I loved reading about these two so much. There’s tension, banter, and the perfect amount of spice.
I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

Uhmm excuse me!!!!! I was not prepared for that cliffhanger! Ms. Moronova you are quickly making your way up the list of my all time favorite authors! This book was 100000/10 I’m thoroughly invested in this story and cannot wait for the second book!!! The main characters are so incredibly written, the plot was plotting hard core ughhh just amazing no notes!
Thank you so much NetGalley, Bloom Books and K.M. Moronova for this amazing eARC!!!!

This book was so good! I loved the banter between Emery and Cameron. I love the dark military romance. The ending has me in a chokehold and can't wait till book 2. It perfection

I DEVOURED this. This was so dark and unhinged, in the most mind-shattering way. The characters are flawed and a little psycho, but as you read about their past it makes sense that they are the way they are. Feeling bereft after all the questions that came with the end of this story and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. If you read and enjoyed Leave Me Behind and the wild world of the Dark Forces you're going to go feral for Your Knife, My Heart. If you like dark romance, trials, and devastating but also super badass main characters you need to read this. Thanks Netgalley for the e-ARC!

I devoured this in one sitting and I regret nothing. This book is violent, chaotic and unexpectedly tender the kind of read that makes you want to lean in and whisper I can fix him… even while knowing he might kill you before the chapter’s over.
Cameron is every shade of dangerous he's lethal, unpredictable and the wrong kind of addictive. The experimental drug that fractured his control has only made him more volatile and yet beneath all that bloodlust is a dangerous sort of tenderness that you can’t look away from. Emery is just as fascinating smart, calculating and refusing to be broken by the brutal unforgiving world of the Dark Forces. She’s a survivor to her core but she’s also brave enough to see beyond Cameron’s madness.
What I loved most is that both of them are just a little unstable and it works. It makes their connection jagged, messy and impossible to ignore. Their dynamic in the Under Trials is my favourite it's half threat, half devotion with every moment on the knife’s edge between destruction and salvation.
The pacing never lets up the Trials are relentless, the stakes are punishing and the atmosphere is thick with danger and tension. Emery’s intelligence and survival instincts kept me hooked, but it was Cameron’s flashes of vulnerability, buried under violence, that absolutely wrecked me.
By the end, I was both satisfied and desperate. I didn't see what the final chapter coming and I am now fully in my “staring at the wall” era until the next book.

I ABSOLUTELY DEVOURED THIS BOOK LOVED IT! Ah it was so good I couldn’t put it down. There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about it! Thank you for the chance at arc reading it

I just finished this ARC and, I have no words. I seriously love Cam and Em so much. The whole story was entertaining and captured me from the start. The ending, yes it’s a cliffhanger, ripped my heart out and now I’m in shock and I don’t know what to do with myself. So many emotions in this book. I would give it 20 stars if I could. I can’t wait for book 2! I’ll just be here dying inside until the next one comes out………

Easily a 6 star read for me!!
Your Knife, My Heart is set in the Dark Forces military universe, the same addictive world as Leave Me Behind and it completely consumed me. As soon as I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down, finishing it in just over a day. It’s so well written and easy to follow, which is something I love about the authors writing.
I loved the main characters. Cameron, battling substance abuse while striving to be the best, killing machine and Emery, desperate to break free from the underworld of death and violence. The chemistry between them was undeniable. They’re deeply flawed, yet you keep rooting for their success, especially in a world full of deceit and lies.
The nostalgic feel running through the story gave it an extra layer of depth, taking me back again to the Dark Forces Underworld . In terms of spice, I’d rate it a 3.5 just the right amount to match the intensity of their dynamic. If you love forced proximity, enemies to lovers, and a little bit of a violent streak, this is one I’d highly recommend.
As always make sure to check your trigger warnings.
Book also has an accompanying playlist which is always a plus for me and it is a Dual POV narration.
I wanted to thank NetGalley for this opportunity to rad this amazing top tier read.

Thank you netgalley for the eARC! I READ THIS BOOK IN A DAY! It got me out of a reading slump and consumed me. This was my first book by the author and I thought the writing was great, the world building was easy to follow, and the plot was action packed. This is a dark military romance following our FMC Emery who’s just been brought into this secret special forces life. She’s paired with MMC Cameron who’s been in the unit for years and is unhinged. Together they have to make it through trials and avoiding ending one another. I loved their dynamic and the tension between them. They both had dark pasts and connected to one another. The ending had me like OMG. I ran to netgalley looking for book 2 but it’s not up yet lol. I can’t wait to read the next one!!

Dark, emotional, and beautifully written — this one got under my skin in the best way. The tension?
Perfect. The emotion? Gut-punch level. Definitely a read that lingers.

I was worried the author would focus too much on tropes instead of building a fun romance/fantasy. But she managed to integrate them well and make them feel natural to the plot. Look, I'm already tired of Trials—but I loved how this book did it. It has so much angst and anxiety that I rushed through it in one sitting.
I'll be looking for more from this author. Thanks to NetGalley and the author for the eARC.

Your Knife, My Heart is a razor‑sharp dive into obsession, betrayal, and the dangerous edges of love. The author crafts a visceral, emotionally charged narrative that grips from the first page, with a protagonist whose flaws make them both frustrating and deeply human. The prose cuts clean and deep, balancing lyrical beauty with raw, unsettling moments.
While the intensity may feel overwhelming at times, it’s exactly that unflinching quality that makes the story linger long after the final chapter. A gripping read for those who like their fiction with emotional weight and a sharp bite.

Sometimes I question my sanity when I read a book in less than 24 hours—but—I DONT BLAME MYELF FOR THIS ONE. All the stars. This was fast paced, ruthless, emotional, and intense. Emery & Cameron are perfection, and that final sentence left me spiraling. I will not be myself until book 2 releases. Well done KM!

After reading Leave Me Behind I was craving another military dark romance. I loved the bickering back and forth between Emery and Cameron even when the stakes are high and they could very well lose their lives. The side characters stuck out as well, giving entertaining and some meaningful conversations between the two MCs. The mental instability that both characters posses(one more so than the other) was interesting to read about. Specially Cameron’s darker side that gets flipped like a switch unless he has his government pills. I was DEVASTATED when I got to the last chapter! I was like oh so now they’re both taking the experimental pills and then BAM….cliffhanger. I’m excited to see how the two MCs move forward in the next book. Thank you for allowing me to read this early!

✨slow clap✨A quick moment to reflect on the genius that is KM Moronova, because she’s done it again. This story took my favorite parts of Leave Me Behind and The Fabric of Our Souls, leaving me hopelessly entranced. She finds a way to grasp the beauty in the darkness, the devotion behind the veil of hate, and the root of all love itself - the desire to be seen and loved just as we are. Sharp edges and all.

This story is violent and beautiful, just like Emery and Cameron. They are so different but somehow so similar and their jagged edges finally find a home in each other despite the odds stacked against them. They are the perfect reminder that love is never out of reach, and that it can smooth the madness if you’ll allow it.
•• “𝘏𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘣𝘪𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭. 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣’𝙩 𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨. 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙬𝙣 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙩. 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺. 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘮”
But just as it seems this unlikely love will conquer all, hope is ripped away. This ending was criminal, and once again I found myself undone with a single sentence. I refuse to believe our dark hero will give up, but the truest test lies ahead - can monsters ever truly find happiness?
