What a great book. Dylan and Oliver are the epitome of friends to lovers without making miscommunication such a central problem. The support these characters give each other is adorable. The side characters and arcs make it easy for more books to come in this world. The portrayal of living with anxiety is depicted very accurately and ways to cope with it are realistic. I look forward to more books by this author and seeing the characters in this world again. Time to go read book 1! Thank you to Netgalley and the author for this copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

The Australian accents in this audiobook are incredibly irritating. The sing-song cadence and overemphasized vowels are too much. At first I thought it was just because I'm unaccustomed to audiobooks with Australian narrators, but this narrator is not actually Australian. Looking up other samples, her works not in this accent seem perfectly pleasant. I'm letting Game Point go because I can't even focus on the content it's so grating. I would rather simply be told the MC is Australian and leave it at that then a fake accent.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperAudio Adult for providing this ARC.
This was the perfect audiobook to listen to after Grand Slam season was over and I was missing tennis.
In this book we follow Dylan Bailey and Oliver Anderson's story. The book opens with Dylan losing the US Open final, a familiar place for her. She always seems to be unstoppable throughout tournaments and not able to keep it up once she reaches the finals. She is looking for change as she eyes her home slam, the Australian Open, to be her first slam win. She is ready to put in the work, especially with Oliver Anderson as her new coach. They have an immediate connection and attraction both on and off the court, but how will it end?
I really liked the playlist songs at the beginning of each chapter, it set a mood for the chapter. Especially the Noah Kahan songs! There are spice content warnings the author has put into the beginning of the book as well. As someone who is not a huge smut reader I thought the spicy scenes were well written and tasteful. I really enjoy hockey romance and can now add tennis romance to the list!
This audiobook had two narrators, one for the female and one for the male character. The narrators voices were a perfect fit for the characters, including the accents, and helped me picture the characters in my mind. I listen to audiobooks at 2x speed and that speed was perfect for this audiobook as well. I found myself getting lost in the story and really enjoyed it.
I gave Game Point 3.75 stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ✨

Thank you Harper Audio Adult, Avon/Harper Voyager, and Meg Jones for the ALC and ARC of Game Point. All opinions are my own.
This was such a fun ride! Dylan Bailey is an Australian tennis superstar who can’t seem to clinch a big win. Oliver Anderson, a British player and longtime fan of Dylan’s, thinks he can help. Their friendship grows after meeting at a party, but keeping their more-than-friendly feelings in check proves tricky.
I mostly listened to the audiobook, and the narration was spot on. Will Watt captured Oliver’s mix of confidence and boy-next-door charm, while Mary Jane Wells brought Dylan’s strength and wit to life beautifully. Their back-and-forth banter kept me smiling throughout.
This story is a sexy slow burn with low angst, and it also highlights the importance of mental health in performance—something I really appreciated. Though this is book two in the Game, Set, and Match series, it works as a standalone. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I would have connected with Dylan if I’d read her in book one, but in Game Point, I really did.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 stars)

Starting out, I really wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. I know nothing about tennis and didn’t realize it was ALL tennis haha. Also The FMC Dylan seemed to have an huge anger problem, but then when Oliver stepped in, the story slowly started growing on me. Dylan had a lot of growth throughout the story. The banter is really cute and I love all the song choices at the beginning of every chapter. I loved that they were actually friends to lovers and the slow burn was worth it. This book has:
•Slow burn
•Friends to lovers
•Sports romance
•Perseverance
•Forced Proximity
•Comeback
All and all I enjoyed the story. The narration was pretty good as well. Thank you NetGalley and HarperAudio Adult for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

3.75 out of 5 stars
Thank you to Avon, Harper Audio and NetGalley for a copy of this ebook. All thoughts are my own.
I did enjoy this one. I thought that Dylan was such an interesting character and I really loved watching her growth. Oliver was incredibly supportive and I loved the connection that they shared and how confident he was in her abilities. He never gave up on her and she needed someone to do that. I do think the pacing was a bit off for me. I felt like it dragged in some places but when things started happening again it got better. I would love to go back and read the first book in this series. I really appreciated all of the actual references to tennis matches taking place. I think that is sometimes missing in sports books and I appreciated that this one had it.
Narration: I thought the narrators did an EXCELLENT job of keeping the story moving. They also did an excellent job with all of the different accents and it definitely helped me differentiate the characters in the story. I also thought the sound mixing was very even the whole time and that led to easy listening.

Game Point by Meg Jones was such a win for me! I loved how authentic this story felt—the training, the grind, and the behind-the-scenes look at an athlete’s life all rang so true. It didn’t feel glossed over or exaggerated; it felt real, and that made me even more invested.
Dylan and Oliver were everything. Their chemistry was effortless, their banter made me grin, and their romance hit the perfect balance between sweet and laugh-out-loud funny. This rom-com vibe paired with the sports realism made it stand out in the best way.
The narration pulled it all together and made the characters leap off the page. If you love sports romance that’s equal parts real, funny, and swoony, this one definitely deserves a spot on your TBR!

Dylan Bailey is tired of always finishing second. She’s decided to hang up her tennis racket and move on. Until she meets fellow player Oliver Anderson and they make an unlikely bet that motivates her to keep going.
From friends to coach/player to more, this duo goes through a lot within these pages to get to their happy ending. There was a lot of tension, slow burn, and fighting their feelings at the start of the book. Once they admitted their feelings, it was game on.
While this book definitely favored the romance plot, the author did a nice job portraying perseverance for our FMC. She had many obstacles to overcome including physical injuries, mental roadblocks, and personal challenges... ultimately she was able to accept support and rely on her own strength to move forward and become stronger.
I was pleased with this story, it moved a little slow at times, but overall, I would still recommend it to others.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Audio for the ALC to review. All opinions are my own.

This is the second book in the Game, Set, Match series, but can be read as a standalone if preferred. There is a little bit of cross over to the first book in regard to the FMCs connection to the first couple, but it can definitely be enjoyed without having read that one first.
I did an immersive audio/ebook read for this one and thought it was really cute and rather enjoyed it. I loved the connection and chemistry between Dylan and Oliver, even as just friends their banter was enjoyable.

This had things I *loved* and yet dragged a lot for me as well. Part of it was in wasn't meshing with the audio and probably would have enjoyed more only eyeball reading. Dylan was the villain in book 1 and I wasn't sure how this was going to go but she had quite the comeback. She has a mental block that prevents her from wining competitions and is on a journey to fix that. With the use of great friendship relationships, coaches and therapy. We get to see Oliver and Dylan's friendship grow into something more.
Thank you to Harper audio, Avon and netgalley for this earc/ALC

This book was so good!!!
I loved listening to this book. It was so fun, very spicy, and the electricity it generated for me while reading was unmatched. I am so happy I could listen to this ALC.
I had the ARC, too, and read along when I could.
Such a powerful, solid writing for my friend Meg Jones.

Thank you to NetGalley, HarperAudio, and Meg Jones for an ARC/ALC of Game Point.
After reading Clean Point, I was excited to dive into Dylan and Oliver's story, and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed learning more about Dylan, what has shaped her, and watching her grow both as a tennis player and in her personal life. Seeing her reconnect with her love of the game in a way that felt healthy, both physically and mentally, was so satisfying. Oliver's journey with the sport was just as meaningful, and I loved that their friendship came first. Their connection felt genuine, and their banter had me laughing and smiling more than once.
The narration was also excellent. Mary Jane Wells and Will Watt did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. I was especially glad to see Mary Jane Wells return after Clean Point. Both she and Watt nailed the pacing, inflection, emotion, and the different character voices.
I look forward to more books from Meg Jones, and to more audiobooks by Mary Jane Wells and Will Watt.
Content note:
This story includes on-page car accident, injuries, and panic attacks. If these are things that are difficult to read, please take care of yourself while reading.

I've never read a book about tennis, but I decided I wanted to give this one a try. I am so glad that I did. Dylan and Oliver have the best chemistry and I was anticipating when they would finally kiss. I loved the build up.
The author gets bonus points for her Playlist. Amazing artist choices!

I will never understand tennis scoring but I love a good comeback! This book is perfect for those who always feel like they come in second. But with the right mindset it’s possible to be first.

I received an advance review copy audio version. Thank you to NetGalley and HarperAudio Adult | Avon, for the opportunity to listen to this book. Will Watt and Mary Jane Wells did an amazing job narrating this audiobook.

I loved the tennis aspect and how well the author described the gameplay. I even enjoyed the prickly FMC and her new coach.
And while I also enjoyed the audiobook and the accents, there was something about the female narrator's voice that felt grating to me.

A great follow up to CLEAN POINT, the first in the series and Scottie's story, this is Dylan's.
Dylan was quite unlikable in the first, but her candor and spunk make her a perfect FMC. She's been through several coaches in career, and well known for being picky, difficult and head strong.
During a chance meeting of fellow pro, Oliver Anderson, they spark a friendship, a curious one for Dylan. Dylan we find, doesnt have friends really, her life has been about seeking the title, and she always comes up short.
Oliver throws a curve ball at her, what if HE coaches her?
Dylan decides to give it a chance, even though her feelings for him are rather confusing.
And so this friends with a slow burn book unwinds and gives us lots of laughs in the process.
I had the chance to listen to an advanced listener copy and enjoy all the narration, thank you to NetGalley and HarperAudio for the copy!

This was cute! I enjoy Dylan and Oliver’s relationship grow from friends to coach/player, to lovers. It was adorable at the end. I love how they prioritize each other and Dylan running up to kiss Oliver right after she won, despite everything and everyone watching, iconic. Having Scottie and Nico make some appearances was fun, and I’m excited to see what’s next with Inez.
Thank you NetGalley and Harper Audio for the ALC.

Friend zoned each other but are attracted to each other. Both are tennis players with great chemistry and banter. Coach x player after she fires her coach who won’t listen to her. The tennis was just as exciting as the romance, I was hooked.

Lots of tension + banter mixed with characters that you want to root for. Admittedly, I know very little about tennis outside of playing Wii Sports as a kid, but it was an interesting story!
Also I was able to listen to the audio version, and I really loved the male narrator, but the female narrator seemed to have a shrill yelling/screaming voice when showing literally any emotion - especially during spicier scenes - that I didn't love.
Thank you to NetGalley + the author for my advance copy!

Sports romance that gives a good dose of drama and healing!
After losing every single final she's ever reached, Dylan Bailey is ready to give up on her beloved tennis game forever. Until her friendship with fellow tennis pro Oliver Anderson starts to heat up when he convinces her to let him coach her - and finally get the gold.
This is a good mix of romance, sports drama, and personal growth. Dylan is a compelling main character. She has the drive and the love of the sport, but is a mess emotionally and even just taking care of herself. Oliver comes in and is a bit of a white knight, but thankfully has enough of a personality (shoutout Twilight lovers) to be entertaining and likeable. I also like keeping most of the setting in Australia and getting an actual Australian narrator for Dylan's chapters in the audiobook. She brings a great performance that kept me engaged throughout.
Overall a great sports romance!
