I don't even know where to begin. I've been a blubbering mess that last part of this novel. The is a novel of accepting yourself, letting go, and feeling wanted, loved and accomplished in things you strive for. Faith isn't shy or socially awkward, she's lonely and has never felt welcomed. Until now. Alec is an author and he's hit a writer's block. Until now. We all have to come to our own realizations on our own time. People can encourage and support us day and night, but until we accept the truth, the reality, we don't see it. I thought I wanted a more personal confrontation between Faith and her parents, but after reading over that scene several times, it was perfect. She was in control, wasn't spoken over or cut off, and she was able to bring it the closure she needed. Alec's situation also took tremendous amounts of strength and once he let go, he flew. Alec and Faith along with Mia, Cole, Jake, Lacey and Ginny are all one fine helluva group to get to experience a piece of their world, their lives. Thank you, Kelly for sharing Faith and Alec's story.
