The Book Tour was a really fun and lighthearted read. Ana is an influencer who wants to show the world she’s more than just a social media personality, and Ryan is the serious publicist who is forced to manage her. Their clashing personalities made for plenty of entertaining banter, and I enjoyed watching them slowly let their guards down and connect. Some of the story felt a little predictable, but it was still sweet, easy to follow.

I really wanted to love this way more than I did. I thought it was just okay.
These characters felt quite insta-love/insta-lust to me. And I never like that in a book. Like, ever.
I thought this book had so much potential with the whole road-trip element. I also thought that the podcast/show element could be a lot of fun. And, based on the blurb/description, the dynamics of the main characters sounded like it could be really fun with a push-and-pull.
I found these characters to be kind of flat and they were instantly obsessed with each other for seemingly no reason.
I just wanted a lot more from this, especially when it came to the characters. I really had such high hopes for this. I just love books about book people.
I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy this, but it's just not the right romance book for me. And that's okay.
Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review! My Goodreads review is up and my TikTok (Zoe_Lipman) review will be up at the end of the month with my monthly reading wrap-up.

Thank you so much for this ARC!
I really loved how fierce the FMC was and the premise of the story was interesting. I just felt that with the FMC being the way she was, the misunderstanding could've been resolved a bit earlier in the book. It felt prolonged for the sake of the enemies to lovers trope. There were just certain aspects of the writing style and character traits that I struggled with. I loved the emotional and cultural aspects of the book, that weren't typical of romcoms. I felt that was the highlight of this book.

Personally I find it a little lame when the "enemies/rivals" are only that because of a simple misunderstanding that is resolved 23% into the book. It makes for a far less interesting dynamic. The prose is nice, but nothing about it stood out to me. Overall I would say it was enjoyable but not particularly memorable, I don't see myself being eager to reread this book but I would happily check out any future projects.
