I very much enjoyed this book. The writing was great and the characters were well developed. I hope to read more from this author in the future.

This was a strong start to the Vinnie Taylor Mystery series, it had that element that I was wanting from the description. Saundra Mitchell does a fantastic job in getting the reader into the book and not let go. I really enjoyed the way the characters and world were presented and developed. It was everything that I wanted in a opening chapter and was glad it was everything that I was looking for and am excited for more in this world. It uses the mystery perfectly and had that feel that I was looking for and was glad it was so well done.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC.

In This Side of Gone by Saundra Mitchell a young woman goes missing and former Homicide detective Vinnie Taylor is persuaded (by the missing woman's best friend) to search for her.

I found this book to be emotionally resonant and captivating - with rich character development, I will be watching for more books from this author, particularly entries in the Vinnie Taylor series.

5 stars from this pleased reviewer.
