I loved this story about older-younger sibling dynamics. I also loved how the author included Spanish within the story.

As I read this story I instantly thought back to so many relationships (whether they were sisters or friends) and realized how powerful of a story this is to tell! This works great as a humorous story to teach problem and solution, as well as one on using your words to tell someone how you feel, while also serving as a beautiful example of how to weave multiple languages together in one book! The authors note at the end is icing on the cake!

Beautiful illustrations and a story that will relate to anyone with a younger sibling or anyone in a sibling-adjacent role.

Claudia loves her hermanita, Monica, but sometimes she really needs some space. However, she does not know how to explain this to her, so instead she just becomes angry. Claudia learns that the best thing to do is be honest. And who knows? She might just end up being jealous of Monica's new plans.

Two sisters play together all day everyday. But then, one sister wants to occasionally play with her friends without her little sister. But, the little sister invites herself. Then one day, older sister gets an invitation.

A cute book. The Spanish words used in the book could be italic maybe, to show difference. The illustrations were also really well done!! Could also add how they got stuck in bubble gum in the illustrations.

Such a beautiful way to show sibling hood & sister hood. I think everyone that had a sibling got to experience them always wanting to be under you or do what you do. Lol, this shows we can still love each other and hang out sometimes but not ALL THE TIME. I enjoyed the story & thanks for the translation at the end.

Thank you NetGalley & Ana for allowing me to read this arc!

I really enjoyed the concept of this story. I have two daughters that are two years apart and we can definitely relate to the “sticky sisters.” With that being said, I felt like this started out great but need a little more realistic resolution of the conflict. The illustrations were beautiful and the addition of the Spanish language (with glossary in the back) were super helpful. My daughters are currently obsessed with Encanto so they will enjoy this book.

I love the intention behind this book. A story about sisterly love. I do think the actual story fell short.
