For Charlotte Morgan, losing her job means leaving New York City and going home to Mustang Creek, Wyoming. Her great aunt Geneva has recently moved into a care facility, leaving her large historical house relatively empty. Someone unknown to Charlotte, Mrs.Klozz, has stepped in to watch the house and Geneva's pets. Charlotte wants to find out more about Mrs. Klozz, help with her beloved great aunt Geneva, and decide how to find employment in Mustang Creek. On top of that, a former boyfriend, Jaxon Locke, has conveniently accepted a veterinarian job in Mustang Creek, and he is determined to finally win her heart.

Charlotte and Jax certainly have romantic sparks to rekindle their relationship if Charlotte can open her heart. Everything seems to fall into place. Could Mrs. Klozz have a part in that? This will be easy to recommend for those wanting a Christmas romance.

Thanks to Harlequin, Linda Lael Miller and NetGalley for this ARC.

Christmas in Mustang Creek Linda Lael Miller

Personally, I'm picky when it comes to Christmas romance novels. Theres so many of them out there, and there's only a few weeks each year when I can read them. I DNF quickly if they're not working for me. Such was the case with Christmas in Mustang Creek. It was fine, but it wasn't wowing me. I found myself bored and frustrated by Charlotte's lack of a backbone and her wishy-washy approach to every decision. I gave up at about 25% of the way through and then started skimming to the end. The writing was fine, and parts were sweet. But I kept wanting to read something else instead.

Sadly I didn't get around to reading the book before it was archived and it was long before I managed to get myself a Kindle so I couldn't read it.
